Germinated in a cup of 6.0PH adjusted water for 48 hours.
At 48 hours (with no root visible) it was planted in a mixture of Fox Farm Light Warrior (about 80%), Fox Farm Ocean Floor (about 10%), and Perlite (about 10%).
It broke the surface 3 days later. So, 5 days from beginning of germination to sprout
On day 6 sprout was visible and was put under a humidity dome and the Electric Sky ES180 V2 at 1/2 power 36in away.
Thought it looked just a little leggy. I increased the light to about 65% strength but kept it at 34 1/2 inches
Every 3rd watering i use a solution of Technaflora Thrive Alive B1 Green @ 10ml/gal
also added Technaflora's Thrive Alive B1 Green foliar spray in between nutrient watering (light misting)
Week two ... i have a little algae growing on the top perlite. Maybe, too much watering. In any case i'm gonna' lay off the water for a few and see if it goes away. I have been led to believe that its not a major problem ... unless it gets outta hand and covers the top of the soil. Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated :)
I noticed some small white lines near the leaf edges on some of the leaves. I believe it may be White Powdery Mildew. I'm treating it with neem oil.
Also, i turned up the light to 100% but raised it to 40 inches
Started feeding this week ... Technaflora's Vegetative Schedule ... Feed ...Water ... Water ...
I have these small white lines on some leaves, newer and older growth alike. It appears on the "veins" of the leaves. Is it normal? or is it a concern? How to fix if necessary?

Those white lines look like the trademark of leaf miners. Leaf miners are insect larvae that hatch from eggs deposited between the upper and lower surface of plant leaves. The hungry larvae munch their way around the leaf, leaving a telltale white trail or tunnel. You can use Spinosad Products or Neem Oil to fix it. The Spinosad products though are organic and completely harmless to pets, children, and plants.

Transplanted to a 7 gallon bag a couple days ago. I think i may push over into Flower in a week.
I have another plant in the same tent that needs another week, so ima wait.

Fed with 1/2 gallon of TechnaFlora's Veg Formula. I'll water, and water again before switching to the Flower Formula.
I have heard mention that it may be beneficial to the plants overall health if i don't change light schedule and nutrient formula at the same time ... i dunno ... a thought to ponder ...

looks healthy ... i had previously lowered the light a bit ... but, today i appear to have some sunburn on upper leaf stems. So, i raised light up to 32"
( i found a formula for converting LUX to PAR ( sort of) ... apparently if you multiply your LUX reading, which i got with a light meter app on my phone, by .015 you can get a reasonable estimate of PAR.
However, my light has a lot of far red in it which the light meter doesn't measure .....
However ... i plan to take notes on the growth and health on a daily basis to dial in a LUX reading for my plants, which i may be able to use on future grows .
This would, of course, be specific information to my grow set-up.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated .
removed just a couple big leaves that were shading lower bud sites ... Also, fed with full strength nutrients a couple of days ago. I had been feeding with 1/2 manufacturer's suggested amount, but ... i just had to see if i could feed more nutes, even though i saw no sign of a defieciency. Its been a couple of days since the full feeding and all looks well as far as i can tell
A couple of the leaves have a slight brown/bronze spot coloration going on. I haven't decided just what the cause is just yet ... ima still thinking on it!
I have come around today to think that the brown spots may have been a calcium deficiency. I had fed them just the night before the post. Today i see no evidence of deficiency on leaves not previously affected
Anything with minimum 50 to 60x zoom, would work for viewing trichomes.
- Personally I use a wifi microscope that can do 50 - 1,000x zoom. Just because I could.. It's a tad more expensive than one with just 50x zoom tho.
Well ... "ugh" .......... It appears that I'm growing seeds ... again with the "ugh" ... I thought a while ago that the calyxes looked a bit big ... Now I think they are definitely pregnant with seed ... again "ugh" ...
I have a small 2 x 2.5 FT tent with just two plants ... i looked at them everyday ... rotated them every day or so, to get a good look. But, i never saw any pollen sacks or nanners. I'm a little depressed. Not really bad depressed, i just wanna burn the house down! 😁 But seriously folks ... ima grow them on out of course. I wonder if those seeds will be useable.
Hi ... i apparently had a hermaphrodite in my tent that pollinated itself and another plant as well.
My question is ... Can i use the seeds that come from the suspected hermaphrodite plant or the plant i suspect it pollinated, and, will they be feminized, regular, or hermie?

If the seeds are from hermie plant and it pollinates normal female the risk of hermies is smaller but I wouldnt take the chance 'cos it can hermie basically anytime in flower.
The seeds are feminized that comes out of those but there is so much more higher tendency to hermie.
