I had some problems with pythium, I had to change the res water 2 times in 4 days. Using H2O2 at 1 ml/L every 24h but might swich to sodium hypochloride because my res water temps are too high (25C) and the H2O2 doesn't seem to kill all the bacteria.
Having huge problems with pythium due to high temperatures in my res (25C). I tried up to 50ml H2O2 / 21l of water and still did nothing. Then I aded sodium hypochlorite 24% at 10ml / 21l and that got rid of pythium. Now I'm ading 1ml / 21l every 24h and it seems to work. If anyone has any advice of some product I can use against pythium that will work even with high res temperatures and can be bought in EU please leave a reply.
Day 24 - did some LST (critique is welcome). Unfortunately the plant is thicc, short and bushy so LST is not easy. Managed to snap a lower bud, fortunately it did not break completely so I'm hoping it will be ok.
She's starting to take off. I put on the flowering lights together with the veg lights.
I tried to use the nute dosage recommended on growweedeasy.com (1.3ml/L) but started getting nute burns in just 4 hours so I had to dilute the water. I guess autos really do like light feeding.
Because I use a shitload of sodium hypochloride and still have unstable PH and can't miss a day or the water will go to shit, I bought some TNC MycorrHydro and TNC BactorrS13 and the next rez change I will try using these instead of hypochloride. Hope it won't make a mess and kill the plant. If you have any experience with these products, you are free to shoot advice.
She seems to be quite slow for an autoflower. It's day 65 and she's still growing and the buds are not fattened up yet. At least she looks frosty and healthy. She has a bit of nute burn on the lower leafs, I tried to take her to 700PPM but she doesn't like it. Now I'm at 550-600PPM.
Opened her up to the sun while still keeping the LED on its normal schedule, she seems to like it.
Did some gentle defoliation on the lower leaves.
She is a lot slower than what I expected her to be. On the MSNL website it says 8-10 weeks to flowering. I was expecting to start flushing by the end of week 11, but from how things are gowing and from other GDP grows I've seen on here it looks like it's gonna be 13-14 weeks. At least it looks like she's a good yielder.
She's not fattening up as much as I was expecting, being my first grow maybe it didn't have the optimal conditions. Had to lower the PPM because I had nute burns, but now it has calcium deficiency. I bought some CalMag to supplement it. All in all she looks frosty, I hope the buds will fatten up a bit more.
Day 101. I have no idea why she's taking so long. At least she's fattening up and getting heavier, can barely lift her out of the rez now.
Maybe some of you have suggestions on why she's taking so long...
Day 105 - still no amber trichomes, but I see a lot of cloudy trichomes and some foxtailing. I think I can start flushing by the end of the week and harvest by the end of next week.
Still not ready yet, looks like it's gonna be another week from Saturday.
Had some light burn/heat stress, had to lift the lights to 45cm.
Still fattening up, I tied up some branches, but some of the lower ones I can't get to are so heavy they are hanging on the floor.
25.05.2018 - Upgraded to 260W chinese quantum boards (QB), 2x312LEDs PCB, bought from Meijiu Lighting on Alibaba. Being the last 2 weeks of flower I don't think it will make much of a difference, but whatever. Also put the light on 24/0 schedule.
I don't know if it's the genetics or the Meizhi LED, but for an autoflower to take 17-18 weeks to flower it's awful. I'm getting sick of this shit.
Starting to see some amber trichomes on the main buds so I started flushing. I will harvest in 7-10 days, depending on how the trichomes evolve, I'm looking for 40% amber.
Finaly finished the trim, holy shit, 269g dry weight. Keep in mind I kept all the buds, even the small ones, but I still have about 1-2 bags of trim. Holy shit @MSNL I'm happy with the results for my first grow. Next grow will be the same GDP but in coco coir and with a 260w QB LED.
