Hey folks, its been a while and I am happy to say we can start our first outdoor summer grow! So I recently got my hands on some 4 week-old clones of some purple kush from my pops indoor grow and will give it a chance for outdoors. I do understand that they are a bit finicky to grow outdoors due to its dense bud structures, but i'm willing to give them a chance. We are starting off with 15 gal fabric pots with Pro-Mix BX series soil amended with Gia Green Organics all purpose 4-4-4 with 2-8-4 bloom to a ratio of 70/30 @3Tbs/Gal of media. The clones then were transplanted and watered with dechlorinated pH 6.5 tap water. Lets see how they turn out! Cheers! :)

Hey Folks, Into Week 2 and you can start seeing the ladies taking root and come out of transplant shock. I have been watering every 3-4 days when they need it trying not to overwater like i did with my last grow. Also started topping and LST throughout the week. Cheers! :)

Hey folks, Sorry about not getting many photos this week, its been busy at work so I only had a chance to take a single picture. As you can see the internodal spacing is pretty tight (1 inch or less) for getting less 10 hrs of full sunlight. Unfortunately it's a limitation i have to work with due to were the property is located. They definitely exploded this past week except for one plant that lagging behind a week or more. Its been hot and humid but not many signs of light stress, going to let them ride it out. I did notice a bit of nitrogen deficiency on some plants due to yellowing of the lower/ older fan leaves, i watered them down to 6.0 pH and see if it helps break down the all purpose amendments i added to the soil during 1 week of transplant. Cheers.

Into week 4 and they have blew up on me again. #2 still lagging behind but showing new growth at a decent pace. I think she will be the black sheep of this grow. So far I have performed another round of topping and very lite defoliation. (Can i get more aggressive anything under the main canopy? Watered them in with dechlorinated 6.8pH tap water. I think I may have to think about when to start top dressing them. Maybe 2 more weeks? Lol Also noted that I they are starting to suck up allot of water! May have to start wetting out the whole pot now and see how they respond. So far its a garentee to water them ever 3-4 days. Now getting much closer to 3. Hope you guys enjoy the video commentary and photos. I'm a bit lazy and maybe one day put a little more effort to taking better photos with my phone. Cheers

Hey folks. Into week 5. Nothing much happening here, some lst, hst, topping and some more defoil. Broke a branch while applying lst and taped her back up. They have been consuming more water now so I increased it from 4L every 2-3 days to 6L for the larger gals.

Update Sunday... hey guys uploaded a security cam footage of the blizt storm in the GTA.... ladies survived somehow... also did top dressing at 30tbs per 15 gal of 444 and 284 gaia green organic amendments. 70/30 ratio. Watered them in with dechlorniated, pH 6.2 and 60mL of molassas to 5 gals of water. Defoilated and did some maint pruning on growth under the main canopy. God bless. Hey folks, Well I got good new and some bad news. Last weekend, these ladies got thrashed by a thunderstorm.. break some branches along the way. Had enough time to splint the bent stems and they bounced back. Note that due to the storm, the pots got watered down pretty heavy... but to my surprise I let the ride out from Monday to Friday... and regretted that. I should of watered the ladies on Wednesday or Thursday, but found out the pots where extremely dry (also probable that the fabric pots are drying the medium out allot faster). The plants started to droop Friday afternoon. Also did a little lst but didn't want to over stress the plant that still recovering from the major storm. Iv watered each pot about 8L of molasas water @ 5mL/L and see how the soil and plant respond. Im going to check on them more frequently and prevent under-watering. Hope you guys enjoy the grow so far. Let's see how far i can push these ladies! Cheers.

Hey folks, Into week 7! Top dressed last week and looks like they finnaly started to respond. Tons of new growtj. I have been using lst clips and wires to train the plant. Topping and defoliation was also used to keep the main stem from growing out of control and to allow side branching to keep up. I also have been focusing using molasas to help add carbs to the soil so the bacteria can feed the plant some co2 and help break down the organic of the soil mix. Looks like the plants are responding quiet well, showing praying during peak sun light. I belive molasasses sits at 1-0-4 nkp ratio for those who are wondering. Cheers guys

Hey folks. The first set of uploads for this week was taken on Wednesday. Super heavy defoilation done. Lots of excess growth under the main conopy so I lollipoped them. In total between the 4 plants I estimate about a 1lb worth of leaves! She's a bushy plant so I got to keep her in check. Regular watering of 40mL of molassas to 19L of dechlorinated h2o. Also did a bit of lst with wires, binder slips n the 3d printed clips you see in the photos. Work great and its opening up the canopy wide. I can already count more than 15+ potential main cola sites. Not sure how much for i can make befor flowing which starts mid August for us. I may have to starting thinking about when to apply our second round of top dress. I may start to feed her with higher ratios of the bloom amendments. Also a note. Watering with molasses is a new thing for me and it seems to work wonders with a organic grow since you are feeding the microbiology which in turns feeds the plant roots with co2 and organic ions. Pretty cool to see the plant respond well to the carbs added via watering. Another note to mention is I'm starting to notice some gnats hanging around the topsoil. I do belive the molasses sugars are attracting the critter which is bad! I have been combating them by spraying thr topsoil with neem oil. 1tbs per quart of warm water and 10 drops of non-posphate dish soap to act as a wetting agent. (Helps the neem oil dissolve into the water). I have been applying the solution to the top soil every 3-4 days and have notice a significant decrease in gnats flying around and the plant doesn't seem to mind it at all. I'm just hoping it helps kill the gnat worms if they did lay any eggs into the soil. Hope you guys enjoy this one.

Hey folks, Hope you are all well during these pressing times... 2020 eh... so we are now into week 9 photos taken on Monday. Recap: Late into week 8 on Friday, it was time to perform the second round of amendments this time switching it into my bloom ratio. 50-50 of gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 organic amendments. Carefully tilled it into the the first 1/4" of topsoil and watered in with molasses 50mL to 5 gal of pH 6.0 water. Into Monday, I have spent a few hours having a brew and started to prune the ladies a bit with some selective defoliation to clean up the bushhh. Haha. These ladies should start kicking into flower real soon since we are now halfway through August. Can't wait to see these girls stretch and begin budding! I'm hoping to stay ahead of the nutes due to it being a slow release system. I belive adding the molasass to the watering regime is supercharging thr soil. Plants haven't shown any signs of defficiencys! Happy times. See you guys next week!

hey guys, into week 10 and the start of the flowering phase. Getting closer to 12/12 and the ladies are starting to stretch. Not much going on this week. A little bit of lst and the usual maint on the canopy. Iv notice that some plants are having issues with brown/copper spots forming on some of the leafs edges. Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Hey guys, just an update. Turns out i had a fungus gnat infestation and what you see most likely is root damage from the fungus gnat larvae eating up the roots. To combat this issue, i used neem oil soil drench to the first top inch of soil @ 1tbs/quart of warm water to 5mL of non-phosphate dish soap. I also threw up some yellow fly traps and added diatomaceous earth to the topsoil also between every watering. So far the plant is recovering nicely!

Hey folks. Into week 11 and the ladies are doing very well. Recovering slowly from a fungas gnat infestation that I caught pretty late. I got careless and wasn't really paying attention to the topsoil. Also to boot, this was only an issue once I started to water with molassas. It seem to attract the bugs either via sugar for from the supercharged biosphere. Not sure lol. I treated the topsoil with neem oil drench and applied yellow sticky pads and d.e. powder to the top of the pots. Cheers.

hey guys, Into week12 and plants are recovering nicely from the fungus gnat issue from week 10-11. Its time to add another round of organic amendments, this time in a 70/30 ratio 9f 284 to 444. Increasing the P since we are now clearly into flpwer and the ladies will love it! I also found that the amendments needs a few waterings before it really gets in to the system. Have to plan ahead for that to ensure your plants are not starving for npk. Added d.e. again and another pack of yellow fly traps up. As for watering, each plant gets 9L ea every 2-4 days since temps are going crazy jn the gta. Few days at 35+ deg c to 14 lows. As always, have a good one and see you on the next update!

Hey guys, Into week 13 and plants are looking great! Plants pretty much stopped stretching and are now adding on size and more flower sites! Very fun to observe imo. Pretty much upped the molasass content to 4tbs per gal. And watering with pH between 6.0 to 6.9. Still maintaining the topsoil with d.m. to ensure gnats don't come back. Im added in less each time since its being worked into the soil via waterings. Fly traps havent been active so its a good sign. Keep the peace ✌️

Hey guys, Into week 14 and the ladies are doing alright. Other than the constant battle against fungus gnats which I have some what neglected for a while. Iv found some of the older fan leaves are getting damaged from the larvee eating up the roots. Iv decided to pull the trigger on benificial nemotodes and purchased 50 million units. I used half of the bag to water the ladies and the other half as a pm measure. Other than the usual stuff, it was nice to observe the bud development and new tbeybare starting to smell real nice! The pink pistols and purple calexyes are looking dope! I hope you guys enjoy some of the photos. Did not have time to shoot a vid this week but will on the next update! Cheers!

Hello! Ladies are killing it, starting to put on more colour and produce resin! It starting to have a stronger smell, nothing crazy yet but I think these may go for another 4 weeks. I went ahead to topdress the plants again after 3 weeks. Same ratio 70/30 284/444 but at 15tbs per pot. Again water the plants down with molasas at 150mL per 5gal. I also added the second rounf of nemotoads to combat the fungas gnats. Only time will tell how effective they will be. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures! Cheers!

Hey folks. Into week 16 (week 7 into flower) and the ladies are doing great! Again putting on some mass! Temps have been optimal hover around 12-25degs, night to day respectively. They are starting to stink up nice, lots of pine, kushy undertones and a hint of pepper! Sounds and smells insane. Its not loud yet but the aromas hanging out on the deck are amazing with a gentle breeze! They are packing on some serious mass and producing an amazing amount of resin. Hope you guys enjoy the vids and pics. Keep the peace :) Chief Keif

Hey folks. Into week 17, ran into some issues with plant #1 with total failure due to a windstorm and my laziness for not putting supports up sooner! Lesson learnt. Added bamboo stakes and supported most of the big heavy colas. Rain has been an issue so I slapped the ladies under the tent and a week ago sprayed some neem oil as preventive maint for powdery mildew. Iv cut watering in half due to the high humi levels and rain we been getting. Chop day is around thr corner! Hope you guys enjoy the content
