ok guys so i started a mexican airlines straight in the 3 gal pot instead of the solo cup. this is how i used to start my plants in coco before i went to the cups. i figured i would see what i can do with it. this is a very nice sativa dom strain that i enjoy.
ok guys the FastBuds Mexican Airlines is looking nice and healthy green. She seems to mostly be working on her roots now. i will transplant her into a 3 gal Airpot or smartpot in the next day or so
ok guys so the transplant slowed the Mexican Airlines down for about 2 days but she is back to growing so lets se what she does in the next week. She is starting to look hungry so i will up her feed with the feed listed above. she is also growing under the Bud Beast LED so she is 36" away from that BEAST and will let her grow into it unless i feel i need to get her closer.
ok guys so the Fastbuds Mexican Airlines is back on track and growing just great under the Bud Beast LED. She showed sex on day 20 i believe it was. I will let her grow up into the LED. she was hungry for Mag so I upped the Calmag.
ok guys so i thought that the girls were over watered for a couple days so i wasnt feeding but they were actually UNDER WATERED. I found this out by feeding a plant to runoff and observing. the next day she was perked up praying to the LED's. so they are now hooked up to the drip system and getting fed 3x's a day @ 1 min per feeding that gives 125mls every min
ok guys so the mexican airlines is healthy as can be. It seems the LST really slowd her growth down. i may have been a little too aggressive with my LST and that hindered her growth some. i still expect her to put out some beautiful flowers tho🙌
ok guys so the Fastbuds Mexican Airlines is now on Mega Crop by Green Leaf Nutrients. I am testing their nutes for them on some other plants and they seem to love it so i switched this girl to it since its a 1 part system for the most part. i say most part because in coco you still will need some calmag. I run 1/2 my usual amount of cal mag and it seems to be working great. Above it says im feeding 5 TSP/GAl but thats INCORRECT im feeding 5GRAMS/GAL. i will ask Grow diaries to make GRAMS/GAL an option in the feeding options.
the plant herself is doing great. Trich coverage really stepped up this last week, she is just GREASY!
ok guys so the Fastbuds Mexican Airlines will be on just terpinator for the remainder of the grow. the buds are smelling almost mellon like and i cannot wait to watch this girl finish up and smoke her! should make for some very good meds as always with Fastbuds genetics in my experiance🙏
ok guys so the Fastbuds mexican airlines is flushing out well. i think harvest will be in the next 7 days or so right around day 70ish i would say as with most of my Fastbuds plants. i cant wait to dry and ure this girl so i can start smoking she smells so damn good!
ok guys today is day 70 for the Fastbuds Mexican Airlines and she is very close to being where i want her to be for harvest. she has a few amber popping up and a few clear trichs that im waiting to turn cloudy before harvest. Im guessing harvest will be in the next 3-5 days. She has soda Can sized colas which just Stink of tropical fruit! These pics will be here last pics as a whole plant. the next update will be the harvest update with dried buds and a smoke report! stay tuned!😎
ok guys so heres the smoke report on the Fastbuds Mexican Airlines:
the high is very nice, fits of giggles/laughter, nice cerebral high followed by a SLIGHT body high that just makes me feel a little exhausted but not couchlocked at all... smells of mangoes, tropical fruit and some pine/wood i believe
this strain grew well even with the problems i had as a grower. she still managed to get some fat sticky potent buds on her small frame. i would definitely recommend this to sativa lovers. my family says this kinda reminds them of the Mexican they used to get.
@TeflonDonFarms, thanks brotha. i have her on Green Leaf Nutrients Mega Crop, its a 1 part nutrient program thats VERY affordable and is Kicking ass so far! check em out man💪
do you believe that the solo cup transplant kept her smaller than usual? I am growing a tangie and plan on doing the exact same with a 3gal smartpot! I need to keep her short even though shes a sativa dominant :)
@Ganjalf, transplants can stunt autos if not done properly yes. actually people do intentionally stunt plants by the method you are referring to. i would let it get a little rootbound and then transplant. depending on your roots that can be anywhere between 10-20 days i would say... probably more toward the latter (20) when they want to really stretch. hope this helps
@Tripaholic88, Im trying to know more about air pot... Im been using 7,5 and 10 liters but i have to watering too slooww...or much in center...I use topcrop soil very loose... any ideia...guys
happy grow!
@Tripaholic88, yeah!
Thanks for the tips... yes i watering slow...with the edges of the soil lift up!
Im going to press better around the cutter to!
Bye👍
@Marquise_ao_Sul,yeah watering slow is what i do but the coco soaks up the water and distributes it evenly so i get minimal runoff from the side holes..... maybe try making the soil concave shaped on the top of the soil with your soil being higher around the outer edges of the pot than the center where the plants stem is. this will act as a kind of funnel. oh and press the soil thats around the outer ring of the pot against the walls to create a better "seal"🙏
