Time to start my first grow! Decided to start with 2 seeds
15.6 Started germinating seeds
18.6 Taproot is about 2cm so I plant my girls on small pots. Still waiting for tent and led light to arrive, meanwhile I'll use 23W grow light
19.6 Seedlings have emerged
23.6 Tent finally arrives. Moved girls from small pots to 11l Airpots. Soil on small pot was very dry because I was afraid of overwatering
25-27.6 Was away from home, very nice growth meanwhile. Not so much height but leafs are bigger
Very nice growth this week! Thinking about increasing amount of nutrients. Maybe lst in a week or two? Feel free to comment if I'm fucking something up, since this is my first time growing
This week I started lst. Also spotted that some leafs are curling up on the edges and some yellow spots, suspect too much nitrogen. Perhaps soil contained more nutrients than I thought, and last week girls hot maybe too much water-nutrient mix. So this week they got only water, still quite good growth :) Also switched to 20/4 light
On day 28 saw first signs of flowers and noticed weak smell
Started flowering nutrients at Day 29. Also tightened lst.
Day 31, growth seems to accelerate :) did some more lst. Had to rise the light, since my girls have been growing distance was only 40cm. Now it's 50cm again. Still some damage on the edges of some leafs, but it seems it's not getting worse. Looks good so far, girls are getting more and more thirsty
Day 35. A little more lst, bent the plants down as much as I could. Also cut off couple of small sun leafs from bottom part of each plant. All good so far, but one seems to grow a bit better than the other
Looks like weather's gonna be a bitch. Forecast for next 10 days is 65-75% RH. Now it's 60 indoors and 64 in tent. Got some silica gel in tent, next I will put portable AC/dehumidifier next to tent. What would be good RH that I should aim for?
With your temperatures you will want to maintain 52.5% to 62.5% during this phase of early flower.
During mid and late flower if you maintain the exact same temperatures its 40% to 50%.
If the temperatures change the indicated RH value changes as well.
This week was very busy, didn't have time to take pictures. I was worried that RH would get too high, but it was no problem after all. Only problem was that after mixing nutrients to water pH was 5.0, I have nothing to rise pH so had to add more water and girls got only half-strength mix. They look quite different, one is taller and has more pistrils and bigger leafs, other is shorter and bushier and seems to be lagging behind in flowering. But I guess nothing to worry about, will harvest them at different time If I need to.
Despite smaller amount of nutrients, growth was amazing. 8 days ago girls were 21 and 18 cm tall (top of the plant from soil after lst), now they are 42 and 31 cm. So far I'm very happy and learning so much, this is a very nice hobby :)
Another week has passed, few weeks left :)
Girl #1 has stretched from 42 to 59 cm and flowering is going nicely, plenty of bud sites. She got full nutes again. I really hope she's ready for harvest by the end of this month, my stash has been empty for quite a while now 😅
Girl #2 had also nice stretch, from 31 to 44 cm. Overall she looks weaker and flowering seems to be slower. Also quite many leafs started to have yellow tips, so she got only half nutes once and other times just water. Hopefully she'll be fine, doesn't look she's dying though.
Did some defoliation to both (some leafs that looked they're dying and small branches at bottom) and applied a bit more lst. Pretty good week overall :)
Nothing too special to report this week, smooth sailing. Added PK to nutrient mix.
Girl #1 is doing very nicely, last week she was 59cm and now 72cm. Hopefully she won't stretch much more, light is only 25cm from top and not much more room to rise it. Lots of pretty little flowers and they are starting to get bigger :)
Girl #2 is doing better. Stretched from 44 to 59cm. Flowering has progressed in last few days, she looks about same as girl #1 did little over a week ago.
Few weeks to go, very happy so far. Girls are alive and well, usually my houseplants don't survive very long 😅
Has been very busy, so I have not updated diary for a while.
Nothing special happened during week 9, just gave a bit more nutes and did some light defoliation.
During week 10 buds were finally getting fatter also pistrils are changing color, but most are still white. Lower sun leafs are starting to turn yellow, that should be a good sign? Trichomes are still pretty much clear, though some are getting cloudy
Looking good, still at least a couple of weeks to go
looking good so far..
depending on the type of lst you want to do (i.e. bending the whole plant or just pulling out some of the lower-branches) i would for a little while..
happy growing!
