Seeds were Germinated late in the middle of the month. Of all my 12/12 plants this one looked pretty damn good for the first couple of weeks. I usually transplant around week four but seeing how far the leaves had spread outside of the solo cup I transplanted right after taking these pictures.
Had a pretty busy work schedule in June, so three week gap between pics. I must say I was impressed the way this plant developed after transplanting it, I usually see negative difference in growth and the leaves but this plant i did not and its appearance remained largely the same as pre-transplant.
Although the plant is growing well, its getting death close to outgrowing the box before it has started flowering. I had a set of leaves fall off at the bottom, and as you can see in one of the pics another set is slowly falling off. I was a little worried but did a little research and found that Blackwater OG and its parents have top-heavy growth towards the flowering stage so no biggie. I also found out this strain benifits from longer grow cycles depending on how weeks 8 and 9 look I may push this on to 16 weeks a first for me ^_^
As far as I'm concerned it's still vegging. I do see the stipules becoming more common but still not sure if its Male or female yet. May need to wait another week because I am seeing signs pointing to a female plant but the line is so thin on that matter. I did have to update the setup due to the growth and getting a new light for the LP2 more on that in the LP2 diary.
I am seeing what resembles calyxs at the top and towards the middle. I'm going to wait for the end of week 9 to be completely sure. Overall its still getting taller, I plan on getting another box for this plant because I plan on running this plant for a least another 9 weeks since the Blackwater Og strain benifits from longer grow cycles. I also plan to push the LP2 ahead to be harvested toward the end of August.
It's definitely flowering at this point. I have yet to identify any pollen sacs. With my 12/12s it is usually easy to identify the pollen sacs. The plant is getting a little too big for my liking. Something rare happened as well, the middle leaves toward the bottom fell off no big deal though as the plant is a strong developer at the top. These next two weeks will determine this plants fate.
The pistols were pretty hard to see and I was a little worried. They finally made themselves more visible. The bottom leaves have all fallen off. This plant is starting to hit its stride now that I'm watering every day instead of every other day. I see I will have to be patient with this one and keep an eye out for signs of stress. It's smelling really good now as well.
I've been lagging due to a pretty busy work schedule. More and more pistils are coming up towards the top. As stated last week she's growing out of the box as you can see in one of the pics. I've been avoiding a grow tent because it takes away a little bit of my secrecy, and the fact that this is the first of 5 harvested plants to out grow the box
Coming on strong now. It's been an interesting time keeping it lit. Great progress has been made up top since I switched to watering every day. I also started flushing every other day. The bottom is pretty much non existent here. I estimate this plant will be a 18 or 20 weaker. My grow tent is coming today. So things may get better will add pics after I set it up.
First of all I would like to thank Cool Grows for saving this grow. This plant pretty much grew out of the 31 inch box that I have been using. This was a first out of 6 female to do that so I had to make a change. This plant is hitting its stride as far as flowering. One thing I am noticing though are the orange hairs. These are appearing on all flowering sites. Since switching to the tent the lower parts are looking better and no more leaves have fallen off. I just started 2 more seeds about a week and half ago "Purple Alien" and Mystery Machine. I will begin diaries for those when I see more sets of leaves.
Looking alot better the grow tent is helping the bottom flower better. Seeing more orange hairs. I'm estimating this one has about 4 to 6 more weeks left on this one.
I'm starting to see of the pistils darken. It appears some of the leaves at the very top may be falling off. All in all this plant looks better every week. And I got the grow tent just in time to save the bottom part of the plant. Smells really good too. I'm planning on cutting it off by 20 weeks.
I lowered the wattage on my power bank from 2.1V to 1V. I also moved the distance of the light from a half inch to a full inch. The top is flowering better and so is the middle and bottom. There is a lone dying leaf but not a huge concern. I'm hoping to at least cut off the top in about 3-4 weeks. Sooner would be better but it is what it is.
Alot more of the pistils are changing colors. The smell is getting stronger everyday. The only problem I'm having is that its quite top heavy and it's near fallen over a couple of times. I'm either going to cut off the top this Sunday or the following Sunday.
This thing has been flowering for about 10 weeks now. More of the hairs are darkening. I have lowered the amount of light it gets by about two hours. Its looks better and better every. I'll keep looking at those hairs on the top. My plan remains to cut off and harvest the top while continuing to light up the bottom.
For a little while I started seeing more white pistils grow. She didn't appear to be revegging. But as precautionary measure I lowered the light cycle to 10/14 a first for me and I am beginning to see more pistils darken and curl in the last 3 days. And last off it smells dank. I decided to keep this going as long as it needs to.
More and more of the pistils are darkening and curling in. For now I'm not seeing any new pistil growth. Its still on the verge of falling over from being top heavy, but overall I am seeing a clear maturation toward a harvest.
I grossly underestimated this girl here. My room smells of her goodness. I have a couple of friends that are telling me at least the top part of the colas ready. There is a strong argument for that but by my eyes it's not ready yet I'm going to give it maybe another couple of weeks it has matured greatly over the last two weeks so they may be right but for now I'm going to avoid harvesting this too early but yes the top part is looking very great. My plan is to cut off that top Cola and leave the rest of it on for another three to six weeks. Although I'm very excited about this one I'm going to contain myself and avoid making a rookie mistake of harvesting to early. What do you guys think let me know what you think in the comments should I cut off the top part now or within the next two weeks?
This is smelling better and better. At this point many of the holdover pistils have darkened. The buds at the top are becoming more and more dense. But #Seven is quickly approaching the size
of the Blackwater. This may pose a problem in the next four weeks but the top part of this plant may not be around by then.
