I've noticed these guys drink a lot more water and I'm going to have to up each one to probably 3L of water per every 2 days. I've increased fertilizing from every 3rd watering to every 2nd on Day 50 because it looked like many of the leaves were showing signs of deficiencies. I hope I read the signs properly but the plants have not got worse and look like they are showing improvements I think.
I pulled out my DSLR to get some better pictures as my cell phone just does a meh job.
I think I'm getting real close to harvest. I'm fairly nervous about the drying and curing. Think I'm mostly going to use brown paper bags as I'm not sure I can control the humidity well enough in my grow space. The last 4 rounds of watering I've given nutes twice. Usually I go 6 cycles of watering fertalizing twice. Maybe this too was a bad idea and I'm going to start flushing soon anyway. Possibly one more round of nutes in a couple days.
Started flushing and increased water to 6l per plant. I think I may be harvesting next week some time. Plants are still looking great. I have the top colas tied outward to make sort of a bowl so the distance is between 16-24 inches from all the colas to the light. I should have done this from the start and it probably would have made larger buds.
So because this was my first grow, I don't have much to go by. I ended up hanging it too long and missed the cure period. Its all stored in jars (rh is around 53-56% in all the jars and they are stable). So I've given quarters away to family and friends who are all seasoned smokers and all of them report "its good" and one friend even loves it and would buy from me on a regular if I grew more. The buds were quite airy, which I think could be caused by an irregular water schedule and I think I stressed it with the LED too close for a period of time but I'm really not sure.
The type of high for me is a good body stone and relaxation.. makes you forget but not stupid.. quite nice imo. I'd say this indica has a lot of cbd in it from how relaxed my body feels. And another note, while in the middle of flowering stage, these plants stunk really bad, Like cat piss. Haha. I love the smell now that they are in a jar, but growing they really stunk.
And I'm pretty happy with 4.5 oz of good dried herb under this one 100w cob light supplemented by some cfl's. I enjoyed growing these auto's for my first time as I did not even have a timer for most of the grow and I was growing under 24hr light schedule. I have 3 more of these seeds and I'm excited to grow more but now I must try growing a few more plants and see if I can learn how to get a more dense bud and get the cure right.
