Grow # 16 - Original Auto Bubblegum

Welcome Back fellow growers as I start my 16th grow. With me being so impressed by the Original Line genetics from FastBuds I decided to go with the Original Auto Bubblegum. This is said to be an old school gem that retains the ideal blend of Indica and Sativa, producing large yielding plants. Well suited for beginner growers who wish to see hybrid vigor displayed in its full form with a THC level of 20%. Only taking 9 weeks before she can be harvested, Bubble Gum Auto will pack on weight in a quick time frame, making her a perfect choice for growers who require big yields of a quality flower. Before I get into the germination process, here's a list of equipment that will be featured in this grow. list of the equipment I'll be using : HydroPlanet 2x4x5 Grow Tent 3-Gallon Plastic Pot Happy Frog Soil Vivosun 300 watts Full Spectrum Grow Light Vivosun 4" inch Exhaust Fan iPower Carbon Filter Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier 4 Desk Fans Acurite Hygrometer 6/30/2020 1:13 am Placed Original Auto Bubblegum in a glass of water where it will soak for 48 hrs. After 16-18 hrs I'll check on them to see if it went to the bottom. 6/30/2020 2:04 pm Checked on the seed after a light tap seed went to the bottom of the glass. 7/2/2020 1:30 am the seed was placed in paper towels that were then placed in plastic bags. I then placed the bag inside the grow tent to make sure they were in a dark area. I'll check on them every 8-10 hrs to make sure the paper towel stays moist. 7/2/2020 2:18 pm Checked on seed paper towels were still moist and taproot was showing growth. 7/2/2020 10:03 pm Checked on seed again paper towels were still moist. 7/3/2020 1:13 pm seeds had long enough tap root so it was placed in the soil. I also had to order a new ph pen today. 7/4/12:41 pm No sign yet of anything above the soil misted to keep topsoil moist. 7/5/2020 11:47 pm Original Auto Bubblegum is above the soil, cotyledons are still too small to count days yet. Seedling also seems to have the shell still attached but it seems to be working itself out. 7/7/2020 1:24 pm Now that the true leaves are visible, I'll start counting Day 1 tomorrow. I also need to make sure the lights are 18-24" away from them. 7/7/2020 5:53 pm Adjusted light so it's 22" inches away from the seedling. 7/8/2020 (Day 1) 8:32 pm Seedling has officially started Day 1. Everything is looking well nothing to do yet until Day 4, it will only be getting is a few mistings along with filling up the humidifier to keep the humidity up. 7/9/2020 (Day 2) 9:24 pm Took pictures of the seedling along misting her a few times and I refilled the humidifier, the environment is still stable and doing great. 7/10/2020 (Day 3) 6:28 pm Gave seedling a couple of mistings today the water had a ph of 6.2. I also took Day 3 photos, along with refilling the humidifier. 7/11/2020 (Day 4) 1:55 pm The seedling was given its first watering today, she received 250 ml of water with a ph of 6.2, along with a good misting. Photos were also taken. 7/12/2020 (Day 5) 9:03 pm Seedling got the usual misting today along with a daily photo. I also refilled the humidifier environment is still stable. 7/14/2020 (Day 7) 8:53 pm End of week 1 and everything has good so far, no issue's with the seedling or environment or equipment. Overall it was a very easy and successful first week for the Original Auto Bubblegum, no problems so far so let's hope things stay this way. Here we are for the Week 2 Update for the Original Auto Bubblegum grow, and things are still going pretty good. Been working on getting the temperature a little bit lower to around 78-79 °F instead of 84°F which hasn't shown to be a problem yet it's more of a preference. I gave this lady a watering on Day 08 and then again on Day 11. I have just been giving her plain water with a ph of 6.2, until Week 03, when I start giving her nutrients. So far I'm pleased with the growth that I've seen and things should be about to take off during Week 3. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Here we are for the Week 3 Update for the Original Auto Bubblegum grow, and things are Ok I should say. On Day 15 she was given a watering with a ph of 6.19, then on Day 18 she received her first feeding, check on her 24 hours later, and noticed I got a little of nutrient water on her while feeding nothing too noticeable. On Day 21 she received another watering with the same ph of 6.19. Of the 3 plants, I'm currently growing this one is just growing weird, not too worried though wouldn't be the first plant that grew funky until flower. She's definitely the runt of the group, for now, I'm just gonna keep giving her love and keep a close eye on her. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! What a long and crazy Week 4 it has been in my garden. As I've told you guys before I've been having issues with heat in my garden this week the temp got as high as 90°F. Since the temp was so high the auto bubblegum was drinking water and uptaking nutrients faster than she should and started showing signs of nitrogen toxicity. I went ahead and did a small flush along with watering them back in the tub on top of a small rack so they can drain properly. After the small flush, light defoliation, and feeding she's starting to look alive again. I'm things get better this week. She also went into full flower basically overnight, this is fair my fastest-growing auto to date, I wish it would have had a longer veg cycle though I'm used to at least 4-5 before flower. I'm back with the Week 5 update for the FastBuds Original Auto Bubblegum, and I'm still having issues with the heat it's been crazy HOT where I live, which is still causing the plant to drink, drink, drink. I've been staying on top watering so she's still been progressing but not like I'm used to ( Size-wise) but she is probably one of the fastest finishing autoflowers that I've grown. I went ahead and defoliated again gonna see how she looks next week to decide if I'll do one more or not since she'll be in Week 3 of flower. I also received my prize package from the Diary of the Month Contest from May, I'm so in love with the Lemon Kush hat, it's so dope. Back for another update and boy has this week been scorching. Despite everything I've done to combat the heat the temps in the grow tent are still crazy, temps reached up to 97°F... CRAZY, I've never seen temps this high it has to be my new environment (NEW HOUSE). Despite the crazy heat this lady has been still doing her thing and is slowly getting close to harvest, she's doing the best out of the current plants I'm growing. Hey Guys ... Back to bring you the Week 7 update on the original Auto Bubblegum. I made some minor adjustments this week like opening the tent in the day and having a oscillating fan in the front the tent pointing upwards and I was able to drop the temperature to 84 degrees which is a 13 degree difference from last week but for those of you have been following my diary then you know this lady hasn't had any issue with the heat and is almost done so shes being flushed. Back for the Week 8 update for the Fastbuds Original Bubblegum Auto, and as usual, she's doing her thing. Now that the temp in my grow tent is close to normal again I've seen some good growth on this lady this week and since she only has about a week or two from being done I went ahead and started the flush, after checking the trichomes on her. This plant has really shocked me despite the heat issues I've had and me not being as attentive as I usually am this plant basically grew itself. I have noticed that she was fox tailing but I know that's from the heat problem I had previously and doesn't really bother at all. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Great strain, Fastbuds has done it again this stain was basically indestructible. The heat couldn't throw it off, me not being attentive couldn't throw it off, even missing a few waterings didn't hurt it. I do wish I could have got her to grow a little bigger to get a better yield off of her, so I definitely will be growing this strain again. I ended up letting her go too long and she has a super couch-lock effect, not something you smoke and sit still with unless you intend on going to sleep. Lol.
