My 1st Tangie'Matic impressed me so much, even though she's in week 4 of flower, I decided to pop an other seed. Because she grew so fast, and so strong, this one will be topped, as well as have "chiropractic adjustments" made up the stems during both Veg and early Flower. I may even bend the main stem perpendicular with the soil to turn my side stems in tops as well. Around day 3 we will start feeding her General Hydroponics basic Nutes (GHE CalMag, Grow, Micro,Bloom).
Day 7:
She's standing at 2.5 inches tall, with her first 3 finger leaf developed and growing. Her next set of leaves are now spurting from the center. Grow on! She's being fed about 300 PPM as necessary, pretty much every other day.
Here we go with the start of week 2!
I expect to see some more rapid leaf development, and early branch development by the end of the week. She's loving the summer sun! no signs of heat fade. I am watering around the plant to encourage stretched root development. By the end of the week she will be out of the seedling stage and in early Veg. To me, Veg begins when we have some lightly established side branching next to the newly developed (future) fan leaves. At this point, while still early on, I'd like to top her and encourage a "main-line" style LST. I believe I can get away with this topping early on with limited impact on the end result. She should be fully recovered and back on track before her growth spurt. Fell free to comment!
