So the banana kush from sac platinum collection has broke soil. The tangerine dream auto still hasn't broken soil but should by end of day. I'll see when I get home from work. Gave them both some ph'ed water @ 6.5 no nutes are needed with NOG- soil #4 at least till mid veg for the banana and nit till flower for the autoflower
They are just bumping along. Had to move the light up about 2.5", even though it's a 300watt LED it sometimes can be too strong for the babys. 300w equivalent 14 band w/ IR & UV, it axualy only draws 118watt, flower tent I have a 600watt equivalent which draws 180watts. It's a 12 band w/ IR & UV dual 10w chips.
Topped the BK at the 5th node...she is also feeding heavy. Very vigorous growth. The TDA is starting to lush up, but there are weird discolorations on its leaves...going to be transplanting them both this week.TDA into a a 1 gal. And the BK is going 3 GAL.
At the start of week 4 i am doing some LST at the bottom of the plant and made a ring for the upper branches. She is staying pretty short for the moment. Took 2 lower fan leaves off. She takes around 3 days to recover. Nectar of the gods line I am using is awesome, they get fed once a week and watered as needed along with a misting as needed all PH'd @ 6.2. I'm in mid veg cycle she has a nother 4-5 weeks of veg before I switch to a 600watt EQUIVALENT 14 band LED and 2 x 28watt side LED pannels. Actual power draw @ 180 watts. IDK about the TDA, I'm going to finish it but I don't think I'll be doing autos anymore.
First of all I also use and love nectar and the amounts you are using are below the recommended which is good. Your plant doesn’t look over watered to me but a gallon of water every 4 days is a lot especially going into a 1 gal pot. If that is the case I’d back it off to something like a gallon per week. Other than that I have no idea what is causing the discoloration
Start of week 5, training the top. Going to to kick her into flower at the end of the week. Clone is being a clone, should start to seeing roots in a couple days or so. Started the germination of a vanilla kush that I will be crossing with the banana kush clone.
Start of week 6 and she is 2 days into flower. Gave them a good feed. Ppm are at 970's.the extra 2 light have done a good job at filling in for side lights. Just sprouted HSO: PURPLE TRAINWRECK. Super stoked....The Barnes farm vanilla kush didn't germinate Evan after 5 days and some finess so....dud...the Banana has become a bush of a plant, bud sites everywhere.
start of week 2/ day 8 of flower.....I had to move the lights up about 5 inches. She is stretching a lot. She has a very uniform structure. Strong side branches. There is foliage everywere. I will definatly be doing some pruning. She is starting to smell good, sweet musky cannabis smell.
Start of week 3 and she is bumpin, big growth, I keep moving the lights up every 2-3 days. Next week she should slow down. She is definatly a stinky gurl too. Clone is being a clone. I will be applying the colloid solution for the next 9 day to her nodes where pre-flowers grow and to the bud sites. Because I veg'd her for only 1 week before going into the flower tent, she will stay small.
Kicking off week 4 with trichrome formation and a sweet malt scent coming thru that skank kush smell. Terpinator is working. She has taken up every were in the tent, and bud sites are EVERYWHERE too, up and down the stems. Beautiful plant. Its growth structure is like a ideal cut diamond.(Ghost OG x Skunk/Haze) Super excited to make out the clone and save some pollen to play with.
She is filling out nicely, I moved the lights to the top of the tent. Gave her a little over 10" from the top of the main coals. She stopped growing vertical, now she is going to start packing on the weight. She definatly has a Kush smell, with hints of fruit-berry-ish.
Super hyped, on to week 6 of flower, I feel this is the home stretch to harvest. Lowering my PPM to 550 once this week. I need her start to use her leaves, she is super green still. This is most likely her last feed. Then RO water for 2 weeks or so. I'm going to have my bud lab tested for heavy metals, terp profie, and cannabinoid profile. It cost around 70$US and takes an hour..I think they do genetic test to. IDR. She is stupid stinky. Touch: sweet stinky candy berry kush petrol. Its more like a black berry.
On to week seven of flower. She is fattening up nicely. She is starting to showing some signs of defiancey. She has some heat stress going on from being to close to the light. LED's still put off heat. Trichromes are still overwellmingley clear. Hopfully she will be done in 14 days or so...
She is eating up her leaves well, trichromes are turning milky but still wanna let her go a nother 7 days. The stigmas are turning this beautiful orange . The smell is like ripe papya fruit and when you touch her the smell changes to a sweet candy with fuel and kush. Smells exactly like ripe papya though. She still has one more flush and she will be good to go. Her 3rd flush, the ppm reading was at 627ppm so substrate is cleaning out well. Ph was at 6.7. Breeder said 8-9 weeks so tracking on time.
Harvested day 60, trichromes were to my liking. Smell is ON POINT. smells like ripe banana and papya. And when you touch her it's like a burst of super sweet musky fruit with some hints of chocolate. cant wait to get it tested, getting cannabinoid & terp profile
Definatly recommended for night use, granted you get that sativa psycho haigh out the gate, then makes you whole body go tingly from the indica dom. Does some couch lock at the end. Hits like a slow moving train then, BLAM your like whooow, Im high...haha.
Very easy to grow strain, could of let it go a couple more days, but it's to my liking. OG stains are not the biggest producers so ended with a little over 2 oz . Definitely need a carbon filter at the end of flower and for drying. Great strain of you are looking to get into OG strains. Head stash bud all the way....
As I wrap up week 4, i have topped her a total of 3 times and have taken a clone of 1 of her bottom branch. She is showing preflowers but going to veg a nother week. Im switching out the lighting from 1x 300watt to 1x 600watt and 2x 24watt side lights today. I gave her a feed this am a couple hours before her bed time, tds was @ 946, ph @ 6.2. I can tell she is going to be a big girl. I got some bamboo to build her supports. Her lineage is Ghost OG x Skunk/Haze.
As well the banana kush can handle large amounts of stress from training and high levels of nutrients...If you have not grown this strain please don't tell me how to grow it. Thank you.
After looking at the answers from ask the growers , I have determined that the discoloration on the TDA is the genetics not being stable. Most of the answers from ask the growers only pritaned to watering to much and training my plant to young(Banana Kush).hahaha....the question was about the strange coloring on the Tangerine Dream Auto, NOT ABOUT THE BANANA KUSH & HOW I'M GOING IT...
At the end of week 4, I have topped her again twice, so 4 main cola. Bottom branches are stretching nicely. Took a clone of the banana kush from a lower branch, has more natural hormones in the lower part of the plant. Banana kush is almost ready for flower, I have spotted a couple pre-flower at her nodes. Amazing lush dark green color. The TDA is still weird coloring on the leaves.
The Banana Kush is growing at a rapid rate. Going to be taking 2 clones in a couple days when I top her main stem again. Her bottom branches are stretching nicely. Super vigoras growth, I can tell she will be a big girl when flower. She is currently at 11 inches tall.
The TDA is still small but starting to stretch a little. She might be close to start of flower. She is starting to smell a little
As I end week 3, I have started some training at the bottom of the Banana Kush. I put the TDA into her 1 gal. final pot. She has mass discoloration on her leaves. But healthy I think. The TDA is starting to smell a little (kinda weird to be smelling this early but hey, my First Auto Grow so it's a learning curve)
Transplanted them both, there tap roots where coming out the bottom of the pots.
They both went into the big tent. I put the light on for 24hrs to help & gave them some kelp extract to help with transplant shock. Kelp extract has no nutrient value, it has hormones and micro-nutes.
Gave the banana kush a light feed.. so the white spot on the tangerine dream auto is axualy albino, it happens with LED's or mixing genetics that don't normally go togeter (rudilaris (auto plant family)) the dream auto has stunted growth compared to the kush.
So the banana kush has got the jump on the tangerine dream auto. Kicked the light on to full power, complete full spectra. (300watt Higrow LED). I'm planning on taking a clone or 2 from the banana kush
Both are planted it the veg tent. Have the veg light on (heavy blue spectra). When they get to about the 2nd or 3rd node I'll kick on the full power spectra.
Both poped there tap roots.
Took 2 days. Going to put both of them into small starter pots. Im only transplanting the auto once. And it will be at the end of seedling stage. She will veg and flower in the same 3 gal. Burner pot or fabric pot. The photo will be transplanted 2 time, once at the beginning of veg into a 3 gal. & 3 days prior to flower into a 5 gal.
