My Blue Dream on supersoil

Kanndera Hello to all gardening enthusiasts! This grow report is experimental and quite new for me. And even the beginning turned out to be challenging. It was decided to grow Blue Dream from Humboldt Seeds. I soaked 2 seeds. After 3 days in a sponge with a cotton pad, the seeds opened a little and a tiny white root appeared. It was decided to plant them in that state, at a shallow depth. Then came 6 days of waiting and nothing. On the seventh day, I dug a little on the side of one seed and saw that it hadn't even released a root from the seed and was removed from the pot. The second seed on the 7th day did show a bit and started to slowly sprout. Over the next 4 days, the seedling grew 2 centimeters above the soil and began to dry out... and died... I soaked the next 2 seeds and with them, the situation was completely different right away. After a day, the roots popped out of both seeds, and I planted them in pots. Thank goodness, normal growth started, and after 2 days they emerged from the soil and began to grow vigorously. I'm writing this in the 4th week. Yesterday, I handed one of the plants to someone else (most likely, photos from my buddy will be later in my report). It turned out to have "crooked genetics," which is clearly visible from the deformed leaves. But it shows decent growth and a will to live. In fact, out of 4 seeds, I ended up with one "good" plant. Is that normal, Humboldt Seeds??? I haven't fully decided on the development path for Blue Dream yet, but a long veg is anticipated. Let that be a surprise.))) In the grow box, there’s still enough space for one girl, and later I will move it to a more spacious place. A bit about the soil in which the plants will be grown. The top 22 liters is standard soil + perlite + vermiculite. And the bottom 24 liters is organic supersoil!!! But not just a mix, it’s a blend of 14 nutrient components and subsequent aging of this mixture in a container for 2 months, soaking with East EM-1, Azotovit, Phosphatovit, and Trichoderma. All of this slowly fermented and was processed by live bacteria. The difference is truly magical; if you lean over the pots above the mix in the first days, it would just hurt your eyes from the exudates. After the work of the bacteria and decomposition, even the smell turned into a pleasantly fragrant forest-like loose soil. CalMag will definitely be used going forward. I have very soft water with low ppm from the tap. By the third week, nitrogen and magnesium deficiencies started to show. The subsequent addition of CalMag and East EM-1 to the solution began to gradually correct the situation. Although it was assumed that the supersoil would only need to be watered with water.)) Ahead lies a long growing period and amazing results.

Kanndera Day 25. On day 23, the girl with the crooked genetics went to a friend. From now on, only one bush will grow in this box. It won't look like enough for her soon. And today, I lost the top of her. A few hours after the operation, side shoots started growing from the top right before my eyes )) The sizes might not be clear right away, but let's not forget this is a 46-liter pot. A bit about how I photograph the plants in this box. As some have noticed, almost all my photos are too bright and don't always accurately represent the colors. At the moment, I'm only shooting with my phone. And the LED lights in the box don't have drivers and flicker due to the power supply. I have to get creative to take photos without black stripes ))) I switch to professional mode, set the shutter speed to 1/100 s, the lowest at which the flicker is not noticeable. I adjust the exposure down by -2 points. Then, these overexposed photos are edited in Photoshop. Maybe some of you have the same issues, and this could be a solution. In the future, I definitely plan not to use such lights anymore. And while photos can still be fixed, videos come out with a strobe effect )

Kanndera Day 31, everything is going very well. At the moment, she has already recovered after topping, and the upper side branches have grown quite well. On day 35, at the end of week 5, I plan to do defoliation and LST. Although, to be honest, I should have done it already. For now, I'm not doing much, just tucking the big leaves under the smaller shoots. I watered only with water and added CalMag. Day 32, I decided not to delay with the manicuring. I trimmed a bit of excess and spread the colas to the sides. I watered with 1 liter of water with 2 ml CalMag + 3 ml Azotovit + 3 Phosphatovit + 2 ml Vostok EM-1. Day 35 (August 4) - everything is growing and bushy, just as I need it. The height is already 45 centimeters. I think if I had topped it, it would be around 60 now. I watered with 2 liters of water with 1 ml CalMag. The sex hasn't shown yet, but the signs are already visible in the right places.

Kanndera Day 38 - everything is great, just watered with 2 liters of pure water. Height - 49 centimeters. I took her out of the box to show how the leaves look next to normal lights. She's estimated to stay in this box for another 2 weeks, and then she'll move. Carrying such a pot with a bush is quite a hassle )) Day 40 - our girl became a mom today ) Height - 53 centimeters. I made 8 clones from the big buds and put them in the propagator. In fact, there are 4 main big buds left on the mother plant, opposite each other. It's very exciting to see if they'll take root and how quickly. Many complain that this strain is very finicky when it comes to cloning. Peat pellets and homemade Clonex with indole-3-butyric acid. I also did scarification on the cuttings about an inch from the cut.

Kanndera Day 49, end of week 7. The mother plant has gone into vigorous growth again; there was a delay after trimming branches for clones, about 4 days. Then it slowly started to pick up growth again. In principle, I can cut clones again in about 3 days. I just haven't decided how many to cut; I wanted 16. But I still don't have enough suitable branches. I think in 3 days they will grow a bit more. The height of the plant is 77 cm, watering with 1-2 ml of CalMag + 1-2 ml of Vostok EM-1. The clones are feeling pretty good. Today they are 9 days old; I try not to disturb them too much, but I checked 3 and 2 of them already have tiny roots! With this dynamics, it would be great if all of them showed the same in 3 days. It's exciting, will all 8 of them take root? The pots for the clones just arrived.

Kanndera Day 51 - it's me again, with my cloning chamber )) Today, unexpectedly, the mother gave birth to another 17 little ones. I made fresh clone juice with 0.5 liters and a slightly different composition. The clones sat in the container with it for about 10 minutes before heading into peat tablets. There's a photo with the roots popping out from the first clones. But so far, only 3 plants have done it so clearly. We're waiting for more. They're only 11 days old. In the last photo, the mother after trimming; I wouldn't say it affected her much )) Day 53. I watered the mother with 2.5 liters of water. Transplanted 8 clones into 3-liter pots. Day 56. End of week 8. Everything is going wonderfully. The mother is growing, the little ones are rooting. The humidity is just a bit high - 68-80%. I even had the thought of starting flowering in a separate box for the mother, but I'm afraid if she flowers in there, it will be hard to get her out of the box )))

Kanndera Day 58 (August 28) - I topped all the clones. It's clear that some are lagging behind in development, specifically at least 2 clones are about 5 days behind compared to the most developed ones. If I had more clones to spare, I would probably remove those 2. To make the growth of all the plants ideal ))) 2 clones have really taken off in growth, I cut off 5-7 cm from their tops. I won't be doing mainlining, it would significantly extend the veg stage, it will be something in between. In a week, I will transplant 8 clones into larger pots. The veg stage is expected to last another 20-25 days, and then all the plants will go into flowering. And yes, I have a new grow tent sitting in the packaging for over a week now. I'm currently building a new lamp for it, I'll show it in the new photos. Day 63 (September 1) - The 9th week has ended. The mother plant has been without a lamp for 2 days, outside the cabinet, while rearrangements are happening. The first batch of 8 clones is feeling good, 2 plants are slightly lagging in growth, their leaves are more yellow and a bit damaged. I think it's nothing serious, they'll bounce back. In 2 days, I will most likely transplant them into larger pots. The second batch of clones is on day 12, they just started to show roots (considering I transplanted the first batch on day 12), they are a bit behind. But these clones were from thinner branches. I expect that in 2-3 days they will all show roots and I will plant them in soil. In the last photo, there's the new tent, the lamp for it is already ready. The clones from the second batch will be moving into it.

Kanndera Day 65 (September 3) - time for great migrations. When the rowan fires are burning )) Yesterday I set up a net over the mother plant, decided to keep her in this box after all, just moved it to a different spot. It's really hard to stretch the branches differently, they are long. I transplanted the first batch of 8 clones into 15-liter pots. By the way, I thought of putting small foam balls at the bottom. I stretched the branches out, LST and all that. The growth structure of the branches is a bit different, not like the plant from seed. But everything is great, 2 are slightly lagging behind in development. I also plan to make a net over them, just haven't decided which one exactly and at what height to place it. In a week, the plants will stretch out, spread out, and it will be clear how to space them. I planted the second batch of clones in 3-liter pots. 9 plants showed roots, so I planted them (funny, but I wanted to select 9 plants from this batch to plant them all together in another box). I left the other 8, they aren't feeling very well, the branches are drooping, one definitely won't survive, I accidentally pulled it out of the tablet. But I will keep it in the cloning area until the end. The remaining ones that show roots, I think I will leave in the small pots until the end. It will practically be 12-12 for them. Watering with 2 ml CalMag + 2 ml Vostok EM-1. Today I used 13 liters for watering. I sprayed a growth stimulator for veg from Simplex. Humidity dropped to 45%. I haven't turned on the humidifier for 2 weeks. I think it will rise to 70% tomorrow. Well, for now, everything is under one lamp, there's enough space. The second lamp is hanging but not connected. And the third lamp is new and not ready yet ). Day 67 - I hung the lamp (65% power) and placed 10 clones from the second batch in a separate box. For now, without additional airflow. Humidity is holding at 75%. Day 70. End of week 10. The mother plant has started growing again and will soon outgrow the box. Some leaves are starting to change color a bit since they are close to the lamp. I figured out how to upgrade the box for her later to have more space. I transplanted the second batch of clones into 3-liter pots, and out of 17, only 12 showed roots during this time. But I planted them anyway, probably not all 5 of those will survive, but that's okay. They are essentially extras and don't fit. Only the strongest will remain. This box is planned for 9 plants in 11-liter pots. The first batch of clones is growing actively, I will soon put a net over them. I started using the dehumidifier and am keeping it at 60%. 3 days ago, I turned on the carbon filter, and the smell appeared.

Kanndera Day 71. But today there won't be an update with photos of the plants. About the lamp (at the request of growers). So here's my homemade lamp made from slats. Size is 80 by 80 cm. The frosted light diffusers have been removed from the lamps. All lamps are connected in parallel. 10 bulbs 30 watts 4000K - 2020 rubles 10 bulbs 30 watts 2700K - 2020 rubles 20 bakelite sockets - 520 rubles 3 slats of 2 meters each - 240 rubles 10 meters of multi-stranded copper wire - 120 rubles Wood screws - 60 pieces - 30 rubles. Total - 4450 rubles. (59$) I measured the temperature with a pyrometer. This is on the lamp housing after 14 hours of operation. 63 degrees Celsius. The filter is currently working like this, sitting right on the floor in the room. I put a sound muffler on top, it really reduces the noise well. The noise is about the level of a floor fan. I connected it this way temporarily, I will redo the connection to 2 modes later and move it. Day 75 - I made a net at a height of 55 centimeters above the first clones. Today I watered with Azotovit + Fosfatovit. The mother plant took 3 liters, it's drinking more now. Total watering was 18 liters. The second batch of clones has started to grow actively. I'm thinking about doing a FIM cut on them, they'll take a bit of time to recover and next week I'll switch them to flowering. Day 77 - end of week 11. I transplanted the second batch of clones into 11-liter pots today. I watered each plant with 1 liter of water, they started drinking very well. The mother plant received 4 liters today. I set up a second fan for airflow, from Xiaomi. I really liked how it's made, quality parts, heavy base, quiet operation.

Kanndera Day 84 (end of week 12 today) - Everything is growing beautifully. I water the mother with 3-4 liters every other day. The first clones get 1 liter of water every day, and the second clones get 1 liter every 3 days. The mother plant has really pushed up against the lamp, even burning some of its leaves, but today I had to take apart the top of the grow box and set up a hanging lamp above the box. Essentially, I added another 50-55 centimeters for its growth. For the first clones, I raised the lamp 50 cm above the plants since I noticed they started to droop their leaves a bit from too much light. Today, there was about 15 cm between the tops and the lamps. Height of the mother - 135 cm. First clones - 57-60 cm. Second clones - 44-46 cm. And finally, the veg phase is coming to an end, and I’m switching to flowering today!!! They will have a long night. I’ve set their light schedule to 11/13 for now. I want them to flower as quickly as possible. Next week, I think I’ll start by writing down the composition of my supersoil. I’ve noticed that I’ve been forgetting the components.

Kanndera Day 91. Exactly a week ago, I switched the light cycle to 12-12. By the way, after the first night, the plants immediately responded and more stigmas popped out at the tops. Yesterday, I bent down 4 main colas of the mother plant towards the center because they got too close to the lamps again. There’s still space for them in the very center of the box. It gets 3.5-4 liters of water every other day. Due to the 12-12, the rapid growth has slowed down, which is good; I wouldn’t want the clones to stretch another meter. I think they’ll max out at around 70 cm during flowering. The first batch of clones is currently getting 1.2 liters every other day. The second batch is getting 1 liter every 2 days. They drink less because the transplant into these pots was not that long ago. Even comparing the stems of the plants, the first batch already has a pretty dense structure. I’m spraying with a flowering stimulator from Simplex. As I mentioned earlier, I’m sharing my list of supersoil ingredients that the plants are currently growing in. Soil Top peat Vermiculite Perlite Coconut fiber Sapropel Diatomite Humus from horse manure Chicken manure Bone meal Fish meal Seaweed meal Sphagnum moss Black tea brew Sodium humate paste Mustard cake Fermentation for 2 months and watering with bacterial solutions and hay bacillus. East EM-1 and Compostin.

Kanndera Day 98 - End of week 14 in pursuit of the blue dream. The mother is feeling good. I did some defoliation on the bottom. Some of the leaves at the bottom started to die off due to lack of light, so I'm gradually removing them. Ideally, I should cut everything below the net. I might do that later on. I also did defoliation on the bottom for the first group of clones. I trimmed the lower branches from the clones and gave them to a friend, ended up with 20 clones )) Watering every other day with 1.5 liters. This week everything has really bloomed and the buds have started to swell. I also like how this group behaves; as soon as you water them, within an hour all the leaves perk up. Such beauty. )) The second group is also feeling great. However, before the next watering, I will do defoliation on the bottom for them as well. Watering is the same. 2 ml CalMag + 1 ml Vostok EM-1. Sometimes I add amber acid, yucca extract, and aloe extract to the watering.

Kanndera End of week 15 (day 105) and the end of week 3 of flowering, approximately 7-8 weeks left. Everything is great, everything is growing, the buds have started to gain their mass. I've been watering the plants every day for the past 2 days. The mother plants get about 2.5-3 liters, the clones get 1 liter of water a day. Growth in height has slowed down, they've risen about 2-3 centimeters in a week. I've raised the lamp 5 centimeters above the mother, 20 cm above the first clones, and 15 cm above the second ones. It's a very hot autumn, I can't seem to lower the temperature, during the day it's averaging 27-28 degrees, at night it reaches 30. According to the forecast, it will be cooler in a week.

Kanndera End of week 16 (day 112). It seems like every week there are more and more photos))) Today there are 56, I just took them, didn’t delete any and posted them all. For some reason, the white balance went off in the last photos after spraying the bushes. It's flowering, but it doesn't smell yet! Which actually makes me happy. This is week 4, approximately another 6 weeks in bloom, hoping for a bigger yield. I’m slowly trimming more leaves from the mother plant at the bottom; without light, it starts to wilt, might as well put another lamp inside. I took 2 bulbs from the clones and added them above the mother bush. The buds on the clones have grown bigger, normally I would add a few more bulbs. Balance is needed in everything. I decided that I should add more phosphorus and watered thoroughly with Biobizz Bloom for 2 days. And now I see that it was a mistake, there seems to be enough in the soil already. I noticed a slight phosphorus overdose on the leaves of the 2nd batch of clones. It affected the younger ones faster, but the 1st batch and the mother didn’t show any signs, and I hope it won’t appear. For now, I’m watering with plain water, even without CalMag. Today I watered with a solution of Azotovit + Phosphatovit + amber acid. The mother drinks 3-4 liters a day. The 1st batch got 1.5 liters today. The 2nd batch of clones is being watered with 1 liter of water a day.

Kanndera End of week 17 and week 5 of flowering. Overall, everything is going very well, but new problems have arisen in the last few days. The branches are starting to lean in different directions under the weight of the buds. Yesterday, I made supports for 2 plants from 2 batches of clones. Today, I already tied up the first batch, and even the mother plant's buds have started to lean heavily to the sides. There’s still practically no smell! I now understand perfectly why they make 2 levels of netting over sativas. It still has 5 weeks to flower, but the buds are already ready to fall. If there hadn't been a net over the first clones, everything would be lying down. Watering is averaging about 1.5 liters for the first clones, 1.2 for the second, and the mother is getting about 3 liters now. Humidity has risen, reaching around 45% during the day. At night, when everything is closed and the dehumidifier isn’t working, it rises to 90%. Overall, I’ll be thinking about how to better support the buds and reduce humidity.

Kanndera Week 18 and the 6th week of flowering has passed. It turned out to be a very intense week. The buds suddenly started swelling quickly, and the branches couldn't hold them anymore. And thus, the Great Bud Fall happened )) Some colas just bent to the side, while others fell almost horizontally. And this happened literally in 2 days! At first, I tried to set up wire supports, but they turned out to be ineffective. I even accidentally broke a large bud with those wires. I had to solve the issue radically and stick in wooden stakes for support and tie the colas to them. With the mother plant, that wouldn't have worked, so I came up with the idea of tying each branch. I might have to tie up the lower buds of the second batch of clones in the future, as they also started sagging under their weight. Now I understand why for some strains they set up 2-3 nets at different levels. Because you need to support them at all levels. The plant is getting a lot of nutrients and is growing extensively. The dehumidifier is working almost around the clock, set to 40% humidity. The clones are getting 1-1.7 liters of water a day. The mother gets about 3-4 liters. I bought some and have already watered three times with the Hesi Supervit stimulator. This week has been all about updates and purchases; besides Hesi, I also bought scissors for trimming and a microscope to check the trichomes. You can see them very well, but taking a photo through it with magnification won't work. I'm doing a little defoliation from the bottom because the lower leaves are gradually dying due to lack of light. As for the smell, surprisingly, it's still quite weak, which makes me happy. But since yesterday, the smell seems to have intensified a bit. It smells like some forest berries, a sweet herbal scent. I would even say that the smell is not average, but rather weak. (And I have something to compare it to; I have some autos flowering, and their bud smell is already quite strong). I’m thinking about how to organically stimulate additional phosphorus and potassium for them. About 4 weeks left approximately. I'm not in a hurry; I'll be watching the trichomes, and it might even take longer. Or I might have to harvest in parts, depending on ripeness.

Kanndera Week 19 (Week 7 of flowering) has come to an end. We continue the long road to harvest. There are 3 weeks left, or maybe just 2 weeks. Ripening is showing excellent dynamics, the stigmas are darkening, and the trichomes are gaining strength and will soon turn milky. This week I bought a 60x microscope, looking at the trichomes is great, but taking photos through it isn't working out well. The buds sometimes go wild and break the tape to fall, so I have to tie them up with plastic ties now. A smell has appeared this week, already quite strong. It's a berry resinous scent. I can't say exactly which berry it smells like, but it's a bit like blueberries. I had to put another filter on the way to the grow room. To give you an idea of the sizes, the thickness of the wooden stick for support is 1 cm. The plants are drinking excellently, the second batch of clones is drinking more and now gets 1.5 liters a day, just like the first batch. The mother plant drinks 3-5 liters of water a day. I had to turn everything up to the max. Both watering and ventilation are now running at speed 3 (2 fans and a small one separately on top of the mother). And the dehumidifier is working around the clock, producing 5-7 liters of water a day now. Everything is noisy, swaying in the wind, and smelling good. And today was the last day I sprayed the leaves with the stimulant. I won't do it anymore, as there's a risk of mold appearing.

Kanndera Week 20 (week 8 of flowering) has come to an end. I basically watered only with plain water all week. Consequently, there’s a calcium, potassium, and phosphorus deficiency showing on the leaves. I’m not giving anything else for now. I lowered the settings on the dehumidifier yesterday, now set it to 35% humidity. It’s been pulling a lot of moisture over the last 24 hours. 16 liters in a day! The plants are drinking less, I switched them to a dosage of 1 liter per day for the clone and 3 liters for the mother. But with the reduced humidity, the soil is drying out noticeably faster, so today I started pouring 1.5 liters on the clone and 4 liters on the mother again. The smell has also gotten stronger, but still within normal limits. Something like sweet cherry-blueberry gum. The trichomes are already milky under a 60x microscope. Probably next week will be the last. Even the leaves are starting to droop, they’ve become thinner due to the lack of elements and lighter in color. The swelling of the buds has stopped, only the stigmas are gradually darkening. Some of the lower branches have also fallen or bent under their weight, it’s much harder to secure them now. I decided not to touch them, let them ripen like this. This is how I water in the tent, a plastic tube with a funnel, you carefully bring it between the leaves to the pot and pour )) After watering, the humidity rises for about 1-2 hours. Then the dehumidifier brings it back down to 35%. I try to water earlier so that by night, the evaporation of water is less. It’s gotten colder and now at night it’s around 22 degrees! During the day, it’s 27-28.

Kanndera Week 21 (9th week of flowering) has come to an end. I mostly watered with just plain water all week. The leaves started to yellow and wilt right before my eyes. The trichomes are mostly milky, with some starting to darken. The plants noticeably started to drink less. The smell has decreased a bit, but it still smells like berries. The decision has been made to harvest! On day 147! By the time you read this, all the buds have been cut and are drying. It’s been a long journey. All the more detailed information will be in the final update.

Kanndera An excellent strain in the end. Everything is great in terms of performance and effect when smoking, unforgettable high! But at first, it was overshadowed by the fact that out of 4 seeds planted, only one plant came out.
