Mother Plants are 8 weeks old now, I keep tipping them to keep the height down. I don't plan to take clones for another month. I'm also testing the size they get in two months as I would like to raise the clones for two months before putting them out at the start of October (Southern Hemisphere). Where I live the daylight length turns to 13hrs at the end of October. The clones will grow and tip for a few weeks before reverting back into veg again, the will be establishing their root systems ready for the boom. You can check the daylight length where you live here https://www.timeanddate.com/ . Most advice online is to only bring outdoors at the summer solstice. That's fine to do so although you miss out on all of (November and December) or (May and June) Veg opportunity.
You will notice that most likely (depending on where you live) between (November to January) Or (May to July) the daylight length will be at least 13hrs. Therefore you have those 3 months of veg before the flowering cycle starts. For me, I want the biggest plants possible so I offer 2 months veg under lights before the 4-month veg starting in October. My total veg time will be 6 months.
