fungiiiiiii Hi, I'm using this diary mainly as personal docummetation of my first ever grow, however you are more than welcome to share your opinions and knowledge with me in the comments. I've always wanted to grow cannabis and finally got the oportunity, I've read a few books on soil and plants (Teaming with Nutrients and Teaming with Microbes), so now I have the oportunity to aply the theory to practice.
Organic soil mix:
25L Organic Soil (Multipro)
5L Compost (Terrafertil)
5L Wormcastings (Terrafertil)
5L Vermiculate
1 cup Bone Meal
20g Solid seaweed
1 cup bat guano
30g Dolomite
100g Azomite
Great White Mycorrhizae
Activating soil microbiology with actively aerated compost tea and feeding every week:
Brew at least 12 hrs (570ppm)
5L Rain Water
1tbsp Seaweed Extract
2tbsp Molases
1cup Wormcastings
2cups Compost
Watering every other day with 0.5 L of distilled water and seaweed extract (1ml/L)
Germinated one more of each strain, they are 23 day behind the first seed that sprouted from soil (first OG Kush) This plants have similar soilmix, I just switched the vermiculite for coco coir coz I had no more.

fungiiiiiii Starting week 2 hoping to see more rapid growth and then start to train by mainlining on day 14 hopefully.
The OG Kush was topped on day 15, she is growing really quick. The Sour Diesel is keeping its pace too, hopefully I will top it by day 15 if I see the 5th node starting to develop.

fungiiiiiii The OG Kush is growing quick, topped at the third node on day 15 and defoliated the rest of the nodes. I will tie her down with coated wire in a few days.
I snapped a main on the OG Kush, therefore I won't bother her anymore, on the Sour Diesel everything is going fine, topped her at the 3rd by day 15 and responded fine.
I planted one more of each (already sprouted) in the same soil mix but with coco instead of vermiculite today 28 of August.
Trying to choose manifolding method, I've read about Nebula method (growweedeasy.com) and watched Lucky 75's method on youtube, so should I top it three times to get 8 colas or twice and heavely defoliate like Lucky. I would like to maximize yield given that I only have two autos
Hello friend, as others have stated autoflowers don't like to be stressed as they don't have enough time to recover.
Saying that, alot of people train there autos and the best thing about growing yourself is trying new things and learning from mistakes.
I myself am seeing some success with light lst, defoliation, and tip bending on my autoflowers. Check out my black dog grow compared to my untrained gelato grow.
In my opinion week 3 is getting very late for training an auto and is likely too late as the stems start to really strengthen up at this point.
Good luck and have fun that's what it's all about! Go crazy and experiment my friend. Checkout other people's diaries, find the big auto growers and ask them questions directly :)
I wouldnt top or do hst on an auto as tey have a limited timetable on growing you can see its already flowering youd be best to just feed her and let her grow

fungiiiiiii Starting week 4 I fed the soil some a.a compost tea as usual, the girls are doing fine, they are training me more than I am training them.
Is this mottling some kind of deficiency or disease? or is it just a genetic variation? This Sour diesel had a two toned leaf at the 3rd node and had this mottling from the start.
fungiiiiiii Week 5, Compost tea is brewing right now and will be soon in the soil.
OGK started to flower in late week 4, and I made some LST to help light penetration. She started to strech.
Sour Diesel got a bit stunt by the defo but it started to recover today. Mainlining autos is not as easy as it seemed, but I like to experiment.
Week 5 finished for both plants and they are doing fine, both on flowering phase by now.

fungiiiiiii Week 6 starde, girls are looking pretty, SD streched a little and the eight colas are looking nice, hope they'll produce good buds. OGK suffered some underwater but she got water now and is doing fine.
Three of the older leafs are turning yellow with purple/brown stains in them, also their stems turned purple with no other stems being purple in the plant. Is this phosphorus deficiency or nitrogen deficiency? Already top dressed with worm castings and bat guano high on P and k.
This is a phosphorus deficiency, see how the leaves began to curl downwards and turn yellow. Notice that the stems or veins never turned red or purple on this leaf, except for some parts that were actually affected by the phosphorus deficiency. This isn't unusual in flower just means the plant needs more phosphorus. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.
@growdoctordc, Indeed, indoors... I'm experiencing, I consider a have solid theorical knowledge but never had the opportunity to apply it, I have cero practice. I made a huge mistake a few days ago and snaped a main, so the OG Kush is now with one main :( still learning everyday.

Snapped a main in attempt to super crop? It happens. Donโt sweat it. Cannabis resists nearly every attempt on our part to kill her Lol

it seems that u have a good basis and knowledge....but the practise is not the theory u already know that.
to my opinion u made few mistakes...first by trying wrong autos considering ur living soil... i am on the same path and still making mistake cause i am looking on the best livingsupersoil to grow them at their best....but the first condition is choose a good strain/autosbreeder. that can accept a rich soil.....autos normally dont need a too much rich soil...and if u don't use some tips for them to grow in,,, u can freeze ur grow by too much nutes in soil. i gonna post soon a diary on the smoothie auto wich i hope can explain some things on that point. but as Doc said don't hesitate onn instagram to ask some advices if u want.... ๐ wish you the best for your grow ๐
@Budofpray, ty for sharing information with me and checking the grow, I know I've been quite radical with my high stress training and soil amendments, I wanted to grow photoperiod but had to resolve to autos because of timeframes. Im now germinating a photoperiod: Orange Blossom from BSF.

I have never agreed with the theory of growing autos because (fill in the blank)
The Ruderalis gene is simply Rude! Why did anyone introduce a low THC influence in a foolish and misguided attempt to โmake growing easierโ. Autos offer nothing that we need! Repeat. Worthless beyond their small and immediate yield. Stick to photo period plants for several reasons I canโt be bothered with going into detail on just now! Research and learn. Say NO to Auto!
