Slow growth and yellow leaves. First time this happens with my seedlings. Probably something related with the new setup I'm using now: I have 2 CFL 6500K (23w each), about 5 inches away from the plants. Temperatures around 28~30 C and RH around 50~55. Medium is PROMIX seedlings.

Looks like it needs nitrogen although could be an overwatering issue. 5" seems a bit close but there's no evidence of burning so you might be good.

Looks like the soil is very light and so you need some feeding, the yellow bottom leaves are a sign of nitrogen deficiency, you need some grow nutes.

Some leaves in the Gelato canopy are curling up, drying, and getting purpleish stains. Never had this problem with other strains under the same set up. Temps are around 26 C / 80 F. LEDS are 12 inches away. SSH is perfectly fine with LED at 9"

you have to ask if you over watered it? gave her too much fertilizer? did she go through heat stress? possible wind burn? one of these is the answer. my guess is she is a picky eater as the others look fine, and your are like what f ? is going on. your leaves are canoeing up. the plant is good minus the signs of what happened. it happens from time to time. i pick these off. they just make me think what happen. what your seeing is how the plant deals with stress by trying to suck out what ever energy from that leaf. i say pick off the ugly and keep your eyes open , she does look really nice so far for you.

Gelato canopy leaves continue to dry and canoeing up. I've backed off the lights, changed the air circulation, and gave only water in the last week, but the situation is just getting worse. Canopy buds are not growing and trichomes production is much higher in the lower branches

I still think it is light based on what you are saying, unless your RH is like 10-30%? The lower buds/leaves doing better is a clear sign usually that it is related to light. Another way to lessen the light stress on your plants is to lessen the amount of light they receive per day if you do not have anymore room to move the light up, shaving off an hour of light per day is very similar in effect to raising the light. Seeing as these are photos and you are most likely on 12/12... going to 11hours of light and 13 hours of dark will lessen the light stress on your plants. Plants can only use so much light, more is not always better, and usually to make the most use out of your light, you need to be supplementing heavy with CO2.

nice set up, i heard tinfoil is pretty terrible for reflecting something like 50% might be better to even paint your tote with some white glossy paint? guess it doesn't matter much since you don't need to maximize your PAR, im a newbie so don't take my comments to seriously. Glhf

@blasterw32, lol yeah, it seems you're probably right seems it maybe a myth I was just passing off bad info that I had learned, its not entirely clear to me how it stacks up, or how people have come to that conclusion. The more credible places I stumbled across, seemed to suggest it maybe more reflective and reflects UV which some others might not, but perhaps didn't diffuse the light as well? Thanks for the reply and adding that doubt in there, 50% does seem low. I didn't find any actual comparisons of PAR or something I was hoping to find. Anyway take care, trying to help you and you helped me :P

@@nicks, heey thanks for passing by and commenting! That 50% doesn't make too much sense tbh.. The best proof is the fact that no light leaks out of the box (only thorough the holes). I know tinfoil is not the best because it creates hotspots rather than reflecting the light to all directions. Cheers
