Had too much nitrogen last week, so I lowered the amount of FloraMicro. What's your thought on my first grow? Trying to learn as much as possible!

lol @bobo420 & HomegrownGenetics I love all your perspectives. This is going to sound funny...I don't smoke weed but I want to grow the dankest most beautiful plant possible. And reading all your comments is really helping me do more and more proper research. Once I harvest I still don't know what I'm going to do with it. I'll definitely smoke a bud or two to see what my own stuff is like but after that I'll probably just end up giving it away to friends. I've always been fascinated by the plant and all it's compounds. And by the way I believe I'm seeing a few very small yellowish blotches, very taint yellow. I think it's from not changing the water and having a pH fluctuation. You can't see the yellow tint spots on the leaves from the naked eye unless you look extremely close but I do I full inspection of my plant like twice a day so I notice every little development. To be fair I haven't changed the water in almost 2 weeks and I remember the man at the hydro shop said once a week. Just checked the pH and it looks like it's at 6.9 right now. Way high because when I first mixed the nutes and PH'd the water it was around 6.0, so I'm going to change the water first thing in the morning! That's about 12 hours from now, hopefully the taint greenish yellow spots don't turn full yellow.

@BitcoinGrower, nice insight ;) You should check your water for PH, ECC and PPM if you can, that will tell you in what condition it is, if you need to replace it or if you need to add something to it. Measure it and then act accordingly ;) As for the harvest, if you're not going to use it, you could make RSO and give it to someone who can use it - a lot of sick people out there ;) As for the rest, keep reading up and learning and you'll have the dank in no time ;)

@bobo420, true. That makes sense. Let's see what happens! Haha I really like @Tenacious_Trichromes grow too. Man he has explosive yields! But he uses a lot of nutrients during the flowering stages so that probably has a larger impact on the yield I suppose. This is the recipe I’m trying to follow as well: growdiaries.com/diaries/1294-tt-runs-northern-cheese-haze/week/5807, just a much more diluted proportion since he grew in a different medium. I guess there’s multiple ways of going about a grow, eh? I have a Feminized Blueberry Kush seedling too that just sprouted, maybe I should split-test the two with one having nutes during the seedling stage and the Blueberry Kush plant with only RO water for the seedling stage to see what the overall effects of the grow are.

she doesn't need so much nutrients at the moment. no need to go overboard ;)

@HomegrownGenetics, sure thing, don't mind me, if you have your way of doing things and it works for you, keep it going. The seedling looks nice and healthy ;) to me, it just looks a bit much to use 6 different nutrients, including ones for bloom while the plant still hasn't got a first set of proper leaves but if that's what they say, that's what they say ;)

@bobo420, Hey brother, I agree a seedling doesn't need much ,but GH hydro feed chart calls for a 1:1:1 ratio of the trio for seedlings during week one. Because I don't like to push my seedlings, I use this ratio for the first two weeks (Last grow did 3 weeks; 2 is the way to go). Having this ratio at about 100ppm is perfectly fine. 5.8-6.1 pH for veg

@BitcoinGrower, Definitely gonna want to upgrade to a pH pen of some sort. You can find a decent one for around $20. Hot means your ppms are high for the plant at that stage of life. The term stems from the result of high ppms being referred to as "nutrient burn"

Hi mate ,I'm growing DWC currently , I'm new to growing hydro but not new to growing. Few questions and tips for you : 1. What hydro system you using ? 2. What nutrients are you using ? 3. Do you have a PH and EC/PPM reader ? 4. What type of room/environment are you using ? Here's a couple of things to begin : ALWAYS keep an eye on you PH level, I always have my PH between 5.9-6.3. Room temps : Day 27/29C Night 22C Humidity : Veg 60/75% Flower 45/53% Lamp distance : 60/80 cm (when using high densit) Run plain water for the first week until I see a set of leaves and then gradually increase the ppms when needed. Happy growing and good luck , always here to (try aand) help :)

@BitcoinGrower, yeah mate when I transitioned over from coco and photos to hydro and autos , @bigdaddyk and his diary logs helped me out big time , plants can drown and get rot so easy in dwc so a little bit of homework really does pay off brother , res temps will be your challenge if I'm honest as everything else is controlled manually , easily maintained though .... how many buckets are in your system ?

@ScotlandDrGreen420, thanks brother. Checked it out and WOW he logs his diaries in great detail.

@BitcoinGrower, no problem at all man ....DWC can be kept simple but made so complicated simply down to not having the correct tools , if you can control , room temps and humidity first then , the 4 things you need to keep an eye on are : PH PPM RES TEMPS Oxygen in the water Get over and have a look at the Bro @bigdaddyk video diary on DEC basic for beginners , dial in as close to that and then take it from there adding your own twists haha ... Good luck

You can try that and see for yourself, that's the best way to learn anything ;) And about the nutrient schedule... to me, it's about finding what's best for you and what works best for you in the conditions you have. Not all strains need the same amounts of anything nor they react the same way - one nutrient feed that one plant might take with no problems could seriously hurt and damage the other.

I'd loose the plastic around the pot and put that light way closer - 1m is was too high and you need a higher temp than 19 when the lights are on - 27 would be ok

@BitcoinGrower, yeah it's much better. You can lower it for as long as the lamp doesn't heat up the leaves below you're good. Being seedlings they don't need that much light in the first days but as soon as they get going they can handle it.

@bobo420, hey thanks mate! I just adjusted the lamp to 39cm. It's a 300 Watt LED light. Do you think that's a good height for a seedling or should it be lower?
