Thanks for all the advice, I had no idea about root pruning, you guys solved my problem. really much appriecated. I started in little yogurt cups and transplanted to bigger plastic cups. My plants had nute defficeincys and all the fan leaves started dying and changing colors most likely because not enough room for roots to grow. They are stunted but I will transplant them right away. I don't have much space but I think 1 gallon pots will work if I'm not mistaken.

@Jaindoh, good advice... those smart pot work great ;)

@Maryj, if you can get ahold of fabric bags the aeration will prevent root binding without pruning. Also promote oxygenation at the roots (thusly vigor as well). make sure not to pay too much for name brand "smart pots" when theres fabric pots all over amazon much cheaper

This is a cheap budget small grow, i dont really expect much from it. It is more of an experiment and for a little bit of experience. Started these two plants about a month ago. One is a mystery random bag seed and the other is a blackberry bagseed. Will post more photos later. I also have 3 special kush 1 seeds from royal queen that just sprouted. Will post more photos and info later.

doing very well for your first grow experiment, however theyre about to need the roots pruned if you leave them in the cups or theyll get sick and die that or transplant them to something larger especially anything that self-aerates. i have some 2L bottles with the tops cut off and a crapton of holes that work in a pinch.

Get ready for those buds to get some serious size and density over the next few weeks! Very healthy =)

@Jaindoh, awesome, I hope so. the buds look a little skimpy. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would tho that's for sure.

looking ok, but like Jon_do said, they could benefit from a bigger pot, that's for sure ;)

The bud size and resin come in alternating waves, of which you probably have several waves left. It might be a super fast 7 week strain, since it's bagseed, so I'd go by trichome. It's probably not.

@Jaindoh, lol That's what I was kind of thinking so I took a little sample, but i don't think it's ready yet. I think I'll give it a week and see what happens. Thanks for the advice!

Using any nutes?

Maryjcommentedweek 57 years ago
I used a little bit of sugar beat mollases in organic soil if that counts.

Should I transplant this plant? Or wait to see what happens?
