Green_Guanche Hello everyone, I saw the Solo Cup Contest 2020 and as a newbie on GrowDiaries, I couldn't resist. I found the idea very original. I got some cups of the required size for the contest (they don't sell in ounces here, but I converted to cc) and I made drainage with a drill. For the strain, I chose a Purple Kush Auto from Buddha Seeds, looking for something that doesn't grow much on its own, without much branching. I'm taking a risk using a new variety for me, but I was excited to plant something purple and what better time to try it than now, purple juice for the cup. I opted for something more flashy than productive, let's see how it turns out. I took advantage of the fact that I'm on vacation now since normally with work I don't have much time and I'm trying to detail a bit these days. So, that's it, greetings to everyone and good luck. Update: I adapted the small greenhouse to put it vertically and I set up an action camera to try to make my first time lapse.

Green_Guanche Here is my first time lapse. I had no idea how to do it, so for what little I know, I'm satisfied with it. The camera isn't high quality, and being an action camera, it doesn't focus well up close. Now that the plant has stretched, I've filled in what was left of the canopy to gain stability. I'll try to keep up with the time lapse if going back to work allows me to.

Green_Guanche It's not looking too good for this plant. I kept it inside the greenhouse because of pest issues, and even then a mealybug got in 😓 I'm going to see what strategy I can follow because it's becoming a problem for all my outdoor plants.

Green_Guanche I haven't had time to edit the second timelapse, besides that I don't know how good of an idea it was to put the yellow trap covering the pot. On one hand, I was thinking about catching everything that was going to fall into the substrate, but I hadn't considered that at the same time I'm attracting all the insects that fly over it since the yellow attracts them. It will still serve as an experiment to investigate the result.

Green_Guanche I have mixed feelings about the sticky trap; it's true that I've managed to keep anything from getting into the soil, but I still think I'm attracting all the insects from the surroundings to it. I've removed a couple of mealybugs and green worms. Other than that, the flowering is starting discreetly, so I'm beginning to fertilize.

Green_Guanche It continues with a shy flowering. It doesn't show any color different from what I usually plant. Some worms keep falling off, but they don't have much to eat either xD

Green_Guanche It's starting to fatten up a bit. For now, it seems like the bugs haven't been very interested in her for days. The flower is getting prettier.
