This is my diary for Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Auto This is the result of the hybridization between the incredible Big Devil XL Auto and an exotic autoflowering strain with purple flowers. The purple characteristic of this strain is inherited from its ancestors from the Chitral region in the Pakistani Hindu Kush, very close to Afghanistan. The purple genetics contribute for a faster flowering period, bringing new sweet aromas and purple colors to our Big Devil XL Auto. Dark Devil Auto shows a strong hybrid vigor since germination. Plants grow with the appearance of Indica-Sativa hybrids, developing a strong main stem and numerous side branches, finishing with a big main cola surrounded by multiple smaller buds on the side branches. Resin production is abundant in the flowers and in their surrounding leaves. Sweet and fruity aroma with hints of incense and delightful citrus tones. After harvested and dried the buds acquire a very dark purple tone, almost black. ------------------ Day 1 25/02/2018: Setup the tent as you can see in the photo. Growing in a 90cm x 90cm grow tent with a 400w HPS light. Using 9l airpots filled with coco coir. Pre watered with my nutrient solution at a pH of 5.8. ------------------ Day 3 28/02/2018: Seed has germinated and has just shown her head. Now i'm just making sure i'm keeping the root riot moist but not soaking until there are a few sets of leaf before switching to watering to 20% run off. ------------------ Day 7 03/03/2018: End of week one and this girl is 2cm high. Nothing much to update just keeping an eye on her and making sure she doesn't dry out.

Day 8 04/03/2017: Started to water to 20% run off now when needed. Next water is going to be water with a pH of between 5.5 and 6.5 before I up the nutes. ---------- Day 9 05/03/2017: No real change today, isn't ready for any more water yet. She seems to be taking a while to get going. Hope all the action is in the roots and she is going to explode soon. ---------- Day 11 07/03/2018: Looks like she is suffering from heat stress. Leafs are curling up at edges and a bit crispy. I’ve put a white disc over the top of the pot to try and lower the temp of the roots, tried to get the temperature of the room down and just to be safe increased the humidity by putting a bucket of water in the tent for now. ---------- Day 13 09/03/208: Fresh growth so think the increased humidity and disc seem to be working. Just keeping a close eye on her to see if she shows signs of imporvement. ----------

Day 18 14/03/2018: Ok so she was / is still showing signs of what I though was heat stress. from the comments I've been told it could be due to overwartering so i'm gonna a let her dry out a bit more before i water her again. See if that helps. She is growing but the older leaves are drying out and curling up at the edges. ---------- Day 20 16/03/2018: Decided to remove the crispy culed up leaves at the bottom. Hopefuly i've not stunted her too much with the overwatering. Lets see how she responds over the next week. ---------- Day 21 17/03/2018: So raised the light to 120cm as per sugested lets see how she responds. I'll update with pics tomorrow for the start of week 4. ----------

Day 23 19/03/2018: She has started to flower!!!!! So decided to bend her over to try and maximise what I can get out of her as I think i've probably stunted her due to the overwatering at the start. ---------- Day 25 21/03/2018: Watered today, She is starting to look much better now. I’m now going to wait till the weight of the pot has reduced by at least 50% before feeding/watering again. ---------- Day 27 23/03/2018: So fed her today. Changed up my nutrient ratios a little to try and stop the overfeeding I thikn i've been doing. If anyone can see anything I should be doing to get the most out of her then please don't be shy. ----------

Day 30 26/03/2018: Was time for watering again today. Think i've got everything about right for her now. ---------- Day 33 29/03/2018: Fed again today. Looks like she is ready for a feed/water every 3 days at the moment. Going to take on board the comments that she could probably do with more feeding so going to up the nutrients slightly for the next feed. Once the lights go out tonight I’ll get some more pictures. ---------- Day 35 31/03/2018: Fed after 2 days this time. I uped the nutes to 3/4 strength. See how she likes it. ---------- Havent had a change to take any photos this week yet so just gonna put this comment here till I take some. ---------- Day 39 4/4/2018: Fed after 4 days this time. She seemed to love the 3/4 strength nutes so upped it to full strength. The buds are coming on great. I'm really pleased with how well she is doing to stay i wasn't expecting much after the problems at the start. Looks like i'm in the final weeks. Think she will be ready bang on the 8/12 weeks.

Me trying to help. You water every 2 days... how much water? I wouldn’t give it more than 1/4 cup every 2 days. Plant is still tiny she barely needs any water. Like I said before let it dry altogether until it falls. Honest to god one of my plants fell down as I was underwatering to find the sweet spot and when i gave her a bit of water the plant perked back up as I was watering it, instantaneous. Hope this help my friend.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I've watering every couple of days alternating between plain water and feed. I've been using cal mag in every feed. This is my first grow in cococoir and just getting used to it. So big thanks for the pointers guys.

@Jocolope, it means you have the found the way of the Club 15 and you’re going to understand what means candy farming. The Grow Boss channel is the fastest way to learn to make it right 😉

Let me know if you need more help? But my 2 cents is that I would keep lights 18/6 for couple weeks at least, you have a decent tent size and if you start fowering now you may get 1/2oz.

I’m suspecting overfeeding aswell. How often do you water them and how many times do you feed them ? Are you using RO water ? And are you using Cal Mag chronically like an additive or just once like a supplement ?

I will put my 400w MH probably around 4 feet from the plants. You may have too much light but definitly overwatering my friend. Keep us updated

It’s a seedling don’t go until run off, i give mine 2 tbsp every 4 days. Your plant is showing overwatering. Let it dry until it fall over then water, it will come back perky within 2 hours. Hope this help.

Autoflowering are what I call advanced plants, they are unpredictable and no mistakes is permitted with such a short life cycle, there’s no time for any recovery, it means you must grow the perfect plant with only one short try , if you follow me you can understand that such a plant will not forgive any new first time grower mistakes and it shall be better to start with Feminised seeds 😉

Just fed her yesterday but I’ll up the nutrients next feed. After the initial overfeeding/watering was being a bit careful. Thanks for the advice.

When the lights go out I’ll post new pics but raising the lights and letting her dry out seem to have worked wonders so far.

Thanks 😀. I thought it was heat stress. I’ll let it dry out now before I water it again.
