Unfortunately I didnt take Images from the beginning, so this is the earliest I have, its about 3 to 4 Weeks old here and looking really amazing. It was topped once on the first branch and then used LST to get a shape.
Sorry for not taking any Images really, next grow will be fully documented!
We are in about 6-7 weeks from Seed now.. and the plant is looking amazing! The main stem perfectly split and grew very strong, forming a few Kolas and started to develop nice Buds all around, lots of tiny ones and some major big Buds on the main Kolas! Im overall very happy how the plant is developing, I used Hesi Hydro Starter Kit (all I had available) and their nutrient plan cut in half.
Notice, I think there is a little bit of nutrient burn on a few of the top leafs, I did flush them and its the 3rd day with just water now, hoping to not have the Lady damaged.
From here Im thinking another 2-4 Weeks until harvest, but I dont really know. The whole plant (as in Stems, Bud and Leafs) are very sticky, smells great and looks pretty! :)
I know this is not even close to being a perfect grow, Im trying to have it low budget, in a very small box (currently only 30cm space left to light) and its only my second grow ever (first in soil), so Im open for any kind of advice and help!
Shortly after putting up the post here I adjusted my LST strings.. and I snapped off one of the main branches. After 5 minutes of panic I took some electrical tape and fixed the almost completely snapped off branch to the stem again, together with a bit of support below the broken branch.
On the photos its about 12h later and so far it still looks good and not dying, I really hope the fine Lady recovers from this rather stupid accident and wont take too big of a hit on the yield. Every few hours since I made sure to spray some pure water all over the plant to help keep it healthy, wet and hopefully speed up the healing process a little bit.
PS: Sorry for the poor images, I dont want to stress the plant even more by moving it into good light..
Little update on the accident 2-3 days ago where I almost completely snapped off one of the main branches .. It still is looking great here, no dying leafs or anything.
(The yellow leaf tips Im pretty sure are coming from a little too much nutrients for a few days) The Electrical tape is still on there, as is the support, and I plant to leave it like that for another week, or if it looks strong enough to be removed.
I may go a little crazy but it looks like the damaged branch received a lot of energy and grew the buds a lot more in the last 3 days than the others..
Overall I think this grow will turn out very nice in just 2-4 weeks, looks great to me and I cant wait to sample! 😋
Quick update, its just over 5 days after the accident of breaking the stem.. and it looks fantastic! Not showing any signs of weakness to me (not that I could tell really), hoping for continuation and cant wait to taste! 😋
Update: it's been exactly one Week after breaking the Stem apart, as you can see the Plant looks great. The few yellow leafs arent great but well it is how it is, stressed it a lot and gave too much food for probably 3 days, think it will still turn out rather good.
Buds are starting to grow up now, getting bigger all around and starting to look quite tasty! 😋
Considering my cheap equipment, the super small box its growing in and the lack of proper handling I think this could actually yield 10g dry, but just a guess of course. Im also guessing at least another 2 weeks from here till harvest.. Anyone got better guesses, maybe tips?
Little update.. I switched to PH regulated pure Water with a tiny bit of Honey 2 Days ago.. I am not sure at all, but I think its getting ready for the very last push, and harvest in 1-2 Weeks now,
the main Kolas look great, getting milky (as far as I can tell) and brown hairs starting to come through.. As you can see on the stem, the split didnt do any damage whatsoever, very happy about that!
What do you guys think of my Lady? 😋
Probably last update before harvest...
Plant looks great, the Trichomes seem to be quite milky, its quite hard to tell, I will need to get a better magnification glass, but from what I can tell its looks all are milky, the little hairs are mostly nice white with some turning amber, which makes me think just 2 or 3 more days until harvest. Finally! :)
For the last week it only got PH adjusted water with a tiny bit oh honey added. I think I will now set it dry (no more water) and keep it completely dark for 24-48h, then harvest. This is my first harvest so I hope this is the right move :)
(Going completely dark just before harvest seems to be a bit of a preference, as some tell you its great and you get just a tad more yield and some say there is no difference at all.. )
Im very, very curious on the dry weight.. I would be guessing 10-15g but that is just a very rough guess. Overall I think for me as a total beginner, with lots of stress due to a broken stem, probably not ideal handling and a Plant thats just about 35cm tall the yield will still be good, doesnt compare to experienced growers of course.
Any comments or tips before I go ahead and cut it in 2-3 days?
This Girl is almost ready now I believe!
I had a tiny bit of White Powdery Mildew on it, which I first tried to cure with Apple Cider Vinegar/Water Spray, that seemed to help a bit but I switched to Hydrogen Peroxide Spray, which really seemed to kill it off, all Plants were sprayed every 2 days, I turned up Airflow by a lot and hope its not coming back! Additionally I will keep spraying them with Apple Cider Vingegar every few days to make sure its not coming back.
I am pretty sure thats where a lot of the brown hairs come from, makes it harder to tell the best harvest time but with x30 magnification I can see that all Trichomes are now nice and Milky, with some more getting Amber, but no white/glass ones anymore! Now its 3 days water with a flush, then harvest and a wash with Hydrogen Peroxide to make sure no PM is left anymore :)
@Chorizo555, Oh yeah it certainly looks very healthy, to be fair it never looked bad at all after breaking it, very happy about that! And yes, at this point I'm sure it will take longer than 9 weeks :) Probably 2-4 more weeks from the latest images on mine, but I didnt keep close enough track to tell how old it exactly is now lol
@N00dles, For a broken stem, I think you saved the day 👍. This strain claims to be ready in 8-9 weeks from germination, but in my opinion, realistic is 9-11 weeks. We will see ! :) 🙏
