After doing HST on week 3 (didn't mean to do it) I thought i had killed her but she bounced back and yielded great to say how I abused her.... she was also under a very poor light which I have now upgraded so hopefully the next run will yield better .... all being said and to say it was my first grow its soke of the best weed ive ever tasted and the smell is absolutely unreal..
Many thanks for stopping by people
Stay safe and happy growing...
@Hemporio_Afghani, haha I remember you commenting right at the start, I thought I'd killed her 😅 but honestly looking at her now she's huge but still so short 😊 (I think I bent her over in a rubbish way and lead her over instead of bent) ... just wait till tonights update compared to this weeks one as bud sites are literally everywhere.... hope your safe and well brother
@autoseedsman,
loving all the twists 😲 and turns this has taken was nervous of the high stress techniques at the start😬 but she looks pretty tidy now 😉
Your plant looks healthy & happy so I don't think it feels threatened in any way so it's taking it's time at finishing theres nothing to worry about, I have found that if your plant is subject to a bit of stress they feel threatened and it speeds up the reproduction cycle because it thinks it's going to die so it will bud faster to produce seeds for the next generation. The fastest way I grow Autoflowers is in DWC I usually harvest at the end of the 9th week but I could harvest at 8 weeks if I really wanted to.
Hey Mate, you could try switching from the Bio Bloom to a more specific Growth formula, that might help a bit but I wouldn't worry to much about it she still looks alright and this is only your first grow anyway. The growth should start to speed up a bit now that she's about to hit the 4 week mark, I feed my Auto's Grow A&B until I see preflowering I then switch to Bloom A&B plus a Bud & Terpene enhancer. I also run a light cycle of 18/6 for most of my grows or 20/4 for some others that can handle it, I don't ever run 24/0 the plants need that little bit of rest, the dark period is when the plant produces all the good stuff that gets you high and taste great.
Peace & Happy Growing
@Ned_Grows, ive flipped her now to an 18/6 and took soke pics today so will see how she progresses on this light cycle ... thanks again for your input bro
So after curing for a couple of weeks of curing I can confirm this stuff is mind blowing, I grew it to help me sleep due to pain and by the christ the pain has gone and sleeping is spot on... this strain will definitely be grown again 100% ... thanks everyone for checking in constantly...
Stay safe everyone...
She is definitely taking her time at finishing, her pistils are whip lashed but still mostly white and her trichomes still look clear but she is already at the 11th week so I would say give her about another week or two at the most, a month might be to long and keep checking the trichomes daily. With some auto's they don't seem to ever finish so this might be one of those cases.
@Ned_Grows, right ill start the flush on next feed once she dries out and that will give her another 2 weeks or so growth...... as for fresh air ill need to open the window more as we are -8 temps at the moment so opening the window is like opening up my house to antarctic conditions haha......
@autoseedsman, That's fine bro let the flushing begin, no nutes but you can still add a sweetener with the flush to keep a higher terpene profile if you like. With the GSC check and make sure she is getting enough fresh air because if your running heaters they can put off a lot of co2.
@Ned_Grows, I'm glad you commented as I was trying to find a way of private messaging you as im having a nightmare with the GSC her leaves have gone so droopy watering is fine etc I think I've narrowed it down to the humidity being to low in the new tent due to the heaters.....
As for this girl I will definitely keep checking her daily as I personally was going to start the flush now and harvest in 2 weeks time does that sound right to you or do I need to carry on the nutes still?
@Ned_Grows, cheers pal, this is my first ever grow so I've no doubt ill make some cock ups but 2 weeks in and I'm happy with how its gone, my next worry is whether to LST as there are loads of shoots packed under them big top leaves
Also another thing that really matters is the lighting, I'm not sure what your lights are like but you need good strong full spectrum lighting and you will get more growth.
you will do just fine, remember not to over water, maybe every other day a little drink. have a breeze on the plant, and light. sounds simple i know. she looks pretty good so far. good luck and dont stress to much, your plant will do what she is breed for
@autoseedsman, i would say watch her grow so you can see how she grows, get her about 6 inches or so before you do and training, the plant will be strong enough at that time, either way though if you let it go you learn how the plant grows and how that way and vise versea, the less you do the less mistakes made, but we all learn from those too, looks good so far
@blendmedmedman, thanks so much, I'm at the end of week 2 tomorrow and the leaves are stacking up but it seems to be really short (about 4 inch tall) im debating whether to do LST on it or just let it do its thing on this grow...
@Theia, haha your not kidding, although I did put this girl through hell on week 2-3 which I reckon has slowed her down massively.. but she's still looking and smelling lovely so hopefully all will end well
Looking good man! My first grow too, but from everything I've read and what I've done so far this is what I'd say about LST and your bunched growth. Wait until you have 4 to 6 nodes before you start training her. For the bunched growth, (I had this issue too) try moving your lights up a tad and let the plant stretch a little between the nodes. Your doing great man, post your questions, everyone on the site is great at giving advice. Good luck!
@kking6321,cheers bro, before your reply I had already bent her over about 4 hours before your reply... ive checked on her 17 hours later and she definitely seems to be taking to it
was maybe a little bit early to be defoliating her but she can still recover pretty well,
if you go look at any grow in a 16oz cup they often strip them back and still get lovely single tops.
the main thing is to let her recover so gentle feeding no training for a couple weeks and at least 4hrs down time in the lighting cycle.
for a back up you could try putting another seed on but giving it no training at they usually come out alright.
the last question is do you have a feed chart or plan for these ladies?
@Hemporio_Afghani, afternoon bro, well she bounced back brilliantly I have literally just tied her down this morning as she had loads of areas not getting the light... thanks again for your input it means alot for someone as experienced as yourself ☺️👌
Those are young flowers, so you’re still a few weeks from flushing! You seem to have extended the vegetation period by several weeks with the high stress techniques, so I’d guess you’ll need to go as late as 16 weeks before harvest. Your week 10 looks like my week 7, and I’m harvesting later today at week 12.
@autoseedsman, yeah keep her on bloom nutes and leave her a while. The current trichs may look good, but those buds still have a lot of bulking up to do, so there’s more to come. I thought mine was done 2 weeks ago and the community told me to give her some more nutes and wait. They definitely added on a bunch of weight in that time! If there’s no amber it’s too soon, and if there’s only a few amber you should wait a few more days. They turn amber slower than you’d expect.
@OrihimeDelta, cheers for that pal do you really think I should leave it so late? 90% of the tric are milky. Ive just got a new setup so ill leave the GSC in the old tent and fire these under 4000w of bliss for a month and stick them back on some nutes for a few weeks and see what happens 😊
