RO_Grow After my first grow on here its time for a new one, this time i grow 4 Original Gorilla #4 from Anesia seeds.
It will be my first round on cocos so lets see what this will bring.
The nutriënts will be the full line from Mills.
I have put the beans in water on 6.0 PH and now lets wait till they pop.
The cocos is from atami and i have put some vitabrix in the bottom, i have also watered it in with PH 6.0 water so it the beans pop they can go directly in the cocos.
After 24 hours it was already time to put them in the cocos because they all popped very fast.
The lights i'm using for vegetation are 2 new secret jardin cosmorrow leds 20 W.
I already gave them some mills start, basic A & basic B so lets see what happends 👍🏻

RO_Grow This week i decided to put all the Gorilla's new shoes on.
Since it is my first time on cocos i'm still pretty low (to low) in nutriënt and you can see at the end of the week that they already got some deficiency, lets fix this in the next week.

RO_Grow So another week...
I have waited way to long with this diary because i was very busy but i want to complete it.
I have raised the nutrients this week a bit to EC 1.5. It seems that they handle it good.
I also topped the plants since they have a high sativa rate.
You can see in one of the latest pictures that i got a beginning calcium deficiency, lets fix this next week!
If you look at the second picture i thought i was screwed because of tobacco virus but luckily ot was just a sort of mutation 👍🏻

RO_Grow This is the last week before the switch to 12/12 to set the Original Gorilla #4 in flowering stage.
I've put some calmag next to the nutrients and some vitalize aswell.
Have seen some gnats aswell so i bought sticky glue traps and i'm gonna order some nematodes to kill them.

RO_Grow The plants stretching really hard since i switched the light to a 12/12 schedule, because of this i did some defoliation on the plants but i think i need to do it again next week.
The plants already show their first white pistels because of the pre-flower.
I also have increased the nutrients this week and if i look close i can increase it even more next week.
As you have readed last week you know that i was struggling with fungus gnats wich i see increasing in amount pretty fast... So i ordered nematodes to kill the gnats, already had the sticky glue traps since last week.
Lets hope that they will be gone soon!

RO_Grow Thats a big difference since the switch to 12/12 isn't it?
I didn't knew they gonna stretch this much, i think they get way to long if they don't stop growing this fast...
My humidity was also way to high so i lollipopped all the plants and removed some of the bigger leaves to get some better air flow.
Lets see what next week will bring 👍🏻

RO_Grow The plants still stretch a lot in this week (way harder than i was thinking) i think it has something to do with the cocos and also the temperature was a bit to high this week.
The temperature gives also a bit of stress to the plants wich you can see at their leave tips.
If the grow stops next week i'm gonna fill the pots out to get an even canopy.

RO_Grow Since my humidity was still to high i bought a dehumifier to fix this problem and it works really well.
But now we have come to the next problem...
The stretch was way more than expected and the plants are way to close to the lamp.
I've changed my original hanging clips for 4 ty-wraps to come closer to the roof and i managed to get it to 30 cm (highest possible)
I hope that the plants still can enjoy the bright light even when it's this close.

RO_Grow You can see on one of the photo's how they stretched, but i finally think that they stopped growing luckily since my lamp is on max height.
It seems like the plants have a little defiency of nutriënts but i'm not really sure what they missing at the moment so i made a couple of bottom samples but they all seems normal.
Since it looks like the buds stack up nicely it don't really bother me at the moment so lets see what next week will bring 👍🏻

RO_Grow Nothing really special happend this week but i can't get the humidity to the right values so i think i need to buy a dehumifier to fix this issue.
But for now the buds are getting bigger and the smell is already awesome 💚

RO_Grow The time has come to flush the plants, later this week i saw a brown sugar leave and when i pulled it came of.
I had removed all the plants put of the room and it was only 1 spot of botrytis so far.
From now i'm gonna check the buds every day and cut them when needed.

RO_Grow Started the flush last week and also my Danish bottom arrived, i removed all the plants ans i'm very lucky that i did this because on the last day of this week i found botrytis in 3 main buds...
Gonna do a final photoshoot with the DSLR camera and chop them down afterwards.
The final pictures will come next week.
The smell and taste is amazing, a friend came over to test the strain and when i start grinding the bud he was like wow that smell ain't normal hahaha 🤣
I had to cut it down a bit to early because of botrytis, my airflow wasn't optimal for this big and dense buds.
Next grow i need some extra fans to prevent myself for this.
I smoked some small testers later with a couple of friends and they all felt in love instantly with the tast/heavy stoned effect this strain give.
The effect starts as a sativa but if you sit down you directly "glued" to the cough.
I think that why they name it like this 🤣🤣

RO_Grow It was my first round on coco so this grow was a bit stressfull for me, but i leaned a lot from it so next run is gonna be way better 👍🏻
The Original Gorilla from Anesia Seeds was also a pleasure to grow and i will probably grow her again.
Not an expert but from knowledge gathered here tells me the big diff between your day and night temp are what might be causing the stretch!
Otherwise she looks healthy and happy. Happy growing!
