Today is Day 14, just about to begin week 3. Been so busy I forgot about keeping a diary from the beginning. Quite happy with how they are doing so far. They are about 3 days behind an ideal schedule of size. There were a few watering and low humidity problems early on but they've navigated their way through and finally look like they've established in the pot. I will be hand watering for another week before turning on the autopot system.
Excuse the poor images, better ones to follow once there's actually something interesting to see :)
Update, day 26ish - both been topped at the 3rd node and will be trained outwards whilst trying to maintain a flat canopy. I will not be training the secondary branches in a main-line style as I believe this is why I got thinner buds last grow. I will just try and form 8-12 nice fat arms by the end. We'll see how that goes. I am using metal hooks for the first 2 nodes each side of training before starting to use the wire.
Today I defoliated 1 leaf on each side of each plant, it kept covering the tops trying to get light. I can see an immediate response, that was a good move. I'm going to go a bit easier on the defoliation this time around.
All in all pretty happy so far. The BD x T is really liking her space at the minute.
Autopot system has been on and off - I think there was an issue with one of the valves and it kept the CBD a bit waterlogged - so she's a couple of days growth behind the BDxT now. Going to keep the system off for another 2 days or so and get those roots a bit more expansive. Then I'll switch it on.
Week 7, Growth going well, plants doing ok. The CBD Cracks is very short and stocky, only 8 heads on her but she's stacking heavily already. Anticipating dense buds from her, and lighter buds from the BDM. The BDM is behind flower development wise but is still growing very well, loads of heads on her even though I did exactly the same amount of training on her as the CBD Crack.
The vertical growth expressed by both plants has been questionable, however that may well be down to my clumsiness at some point. Internode distance is tight on both plants. The smells are negligible but the CBD crack's isn't the most appealing so far. It's a nose-crinkler.
Going to give them a PK feed this evening, and see how they react. I'm anticipating not too much more explosive growth now just some stretching for another 5-10 days or so then that'll be that and the buds will start swelling.
On day 3 for my Mephisto trio, will start a diary for them once they reach a week above soil.
Nearing the end for the CBD crack. very few heads, rock solid buds and smell. Just what I like. The BDM has gone crazy with lots of little buds even though I did EXACTLY the same training on her. Crazy, huh? Given them each a HEAVY dose of PK and Bio/PK and anticipating 10-14 days left in CBD C and about 2-3 weeks left in the BDM. She hasn't started hardening up yet, whereas the CBD C has.
