On August 28th, I Started 7 Sweet Seeds Black Cream Auto by soaking them in distilled water for 18 hours. After the 18 hours of soaking, I transplanted them into moist peat pellets and placed in a small 12 spot humidity dome. I have a relatively large cupboard that I only use for seed germination, which is where I put them until today. Most experienced growers and breeders advise against using the peat pellets, but I have always had a much greater success rate this way, rather than in paper towel. Paper towel I usually get a 70% germination rate, where I am over 95% in peat pellets.
Day 4- So far in this case, 7 out of 7 seeds have sprouted and are an average of 8 cm tall. All appear to be healthy and have been transplanted today into 3 gallon fabric planters. My growing medium of choice for this grow is Pro Mix HP with Mycorrhizae. I do not plan on providing any nutrients to this grow until they begin to bloom. Which is one thing I like about using Pro Mix HP with my grows.
Honestly I did not expect all 7 seeds to pop and to do so well already. This clearly shows me that Sweet Seeds is a reputable breeder and supplies some good genetic seeds. I may need to start up a 2nd tent to hold them all.😬
Day 5 - So far so good, all 7 have survived their first 24 hours under the LED lights. Growth rate of about 4 cm since I transplanted them. Tonight I have lowered the lights a bit so that they don't stretch out too much... as they are growing very rapidly.
Day 7 - All is good, they have all minimized the stretching and will strengthen over the next week. I will be away for a few days, I will provide another update as soon as I return later next week.
Thanks for sharing a new diary with one of our strains.
We hope you enjoy it :P
Once finished, with the final notes of the strains, you can ask us for more seeds to share another diary.
Sweet smokes!
