@burnerac, I start them in peat pellets and when they sprout I transfer to their final pot if I can. I figure this way is easier and less stress on the plant which is good, right? The first plant went into a bag of Vigoro potting mix to which I added a bag of Miracle Grow Perlite and about 1/2 bag of bat droppings. The next plants will go into Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil which I added more Perlite to. That's it for now, In a couple weeks I will start them on some nutrients. Like I said before, I'm just winging it, not knowing what strain or anything else about them. Anyway thanks for your interest Y'all.

Thanks. I am relying mainly on my intuitions here. I hope these turn out as well as yours did. I plan to try the white widow autos next. Just hoping for a simpler easier grow and quicker harvest.

I just picked up your grow. Nice looking little ladies! Keep spreading them out after they start flowering. I kinda babied my girl, and stopped doing most of my LST. Now she has a lot of crowded bud sites. I'm not complaining, but the LST really opens up the buds to more light. You gotta love DIY! Great reflectors. Back when I was a kid, we would put white poster board on top of the pots to reflect light back up at the plants. I remember all sorts of crazy ideas back in the day.

thanks, bobo420 Yours are looking nice as well! I just wonder if this one can catch up to where yours is. I am 3 weeks behind you. This is just a shot in the dark working with bag seeds and all. I just hope it's a female!

Thanks, bobo420 . I plan to leave them alone for a few days, aside from watering. Maybe next week I will add some more lights. I think I will hold off on the nutrients. At least until flowering. The Fox Farms soil is pretty rich especially since I added worm castings to it. Like I said in the beginning, I am just winging it. Organic is good.

Good info to start and a nice seedling! Love those mystery seeds :) Good luck with the grow ;)

Did you start in a 5-gallon pot to avoid repotting? Any negatives to starting in such a large pot?

@burnerac, yeah, I've been following your grow too... you had a lot of problems with the plant and I guess those 5 weeks of veg that are missing weren't without issues too... But you need to find your way... the way that works for you and the environment and the strain(s) you have. It might be very different from what I'm doing or someone else is doing. Some strains grow faster than others some flower faster than others... there are strains that take 20weeks just in flower to finish... no worries... the important thing is to grow, all other things you can learn and pick up ;)

@UncleDale, I'm on my first grow so I'm winging it too. Have learned so much and am having such a good time with this.

@bobo420, Cool. My grow has seemed incredibly slow. I'm about to begin week 18 and I see other people harvesting at week 8 or earlier. I anticipate my harvest around week 23.
