Get comfortable with a favourite rerun of mine: Trainwreck. This iteration is by Native Seed Co. which by my Google searches, and checking the website on their card, seem defunct. I’ve had this line for awhile on GrowDiaries, and a pair of plants just finishing in flower not on GrowDiaries. These two are regular clones taken from the same line. The finished product is a gem, a musty, sweet, dank smell. The genetics include Mexican, Thai, and Afghani.
My tent is hung mylar in an unfinished basement with two 300 actual watt full spectrum LEDs.
The clones were transplanted into HP Pro Mix with a small amount of perlite and worm castings added, 4-4-4 Gaia Green, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae.
Today is day 29.
Day 36 for the two Trainwreck clones. This is what I love about Trainwreck, but is challenging, it grows like crazy! I can see major LST in the future, I don’t see how else you would manage it. Nice and green, absorbed lots of amendment by now. I prevent treated everything with potassium based insecticide soap and neem oil. Onward!
Day 43 for these two Trainwreck clones. Great growth, everything just continuing as expected. I transplanted this week and it was early, but it seems fine. I had a friend who was getting clones and I had to be assured of what I was keeping, and needed more containers. This was plus one container. The roots seemed developed. I transplanted into HP Pro mix with some added perlite and worm castings, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae.
Expecting to do some LST this week. I got a heat pump and so even though the air conditioner doesn’t need to come on because of the season I have the centralized fan circulating air.
Day 50 for these two Trainwreck clones, from (defunct?) Native Seed Co. I went all week without keeping my word of LST, and only before photos did I feel guilty enough to tie them down. Thus, the pictures suuuck. Trainwreck loves training as it already naturally off branches.
My inlaws are computer programmers, non-stoners, but gifted me some basic sensing technology for fun using basic, cheap tech including Raspberry Pi. I have the ability to play with sensing particles of particular sizes or temperature and humidity which I have included graphs of. I can also upgrade to CO and CO2 if I wish as my friend is handy too. Displaying both yesterday and part of today, you can see where I irrigated last night. Are you surprised by how high-tech. this is for this monkey? 🐒
Day 57 for the two Trainwreck clones from Native Seed Co. No, they are not defunct, I am just stupid 🐒 Here is their website: https://nativeseedco.com/
The two clones have been busy adjusting to the LST and have been reaching for the lights. The canopy will be forming and I am topping as necessary. I have included the temperature and humidity data for yesterday and for part of today.
Day 64 for the two Trainwreck clones. Nothing but positivity and good health. Lots of healthy green. I find the vegetative growth is very stable with this strain. I transplanted this week into HP Pro Mix with added perlite and worm castings, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae. Flowering is about two to three weeks away. I don’t have to worry about plant height. Of course I made sure to take some clones.
Day 71 for the two Trainwreck clones. Chugging along, based on my observations of other clones this plant size should be ideal under HPS. Nice and green, adjusting to the new soil. Looking good. One week left until flip. I am a changed ape, I prevent treat for pests entering the other tent. I sprayed Safer’s potassium based soap and neem oil. I failed to include a picture of the soaked plants. My server seems to be down with my temperature and humidity data but the manual numbers show a huge difference above and below canopy, it is a jungle. It is quite warmer at light level.
Day 77 for these two Trainwreck clones. Vegetation time is over and so it is time to move over to the HPS tent. Following last week, I went with another round of pest prevention by spraying Safer’s potassium based soap and neem oil. They got the first darkness and then photos rolled around. I gave some water after pictures. Next check-in will be the first flowering week. One clone is sort of long, rectangular shaped; the other clone is more bushy and rounded. Both are going to be great.
Day 84 for the two Trainwreck clones. One week of flowering complete, eight weeks of flowering remain. Spread out across the tent, these two are bushy and all over the place. Very healthy, I thought I’d top up the nitrogen as I always fade things quickly. I applied 24-8-16 All Purpose Miracle Grow with blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). I have some Trainwreck drying at the moment, one of my favourites. My flowering tent is a big bigger which actually gives me extra space for working. It is 4 feet by 6 feet in dimensions, and is hung mylar in an unfinished basement. My flower light is a 600watt Vivosun HPS. Ahoy Hellishjam and BudXs, two good Canadian 🇨🇦 crewman.
