Here we go. This is the first time I've tried doing one of these diaries. I've only lightly skimmed this site, so I'm not totally familiar with popular formats. I'm going to try to keep this just like a diary, with daily entries, thoughts and pictures. This is not a normal run for me. I shut down production for the summer. Over the months of shut down, I had a couple catastrophes and lost my mothers. I've finished fixing some issues in my rooms and am ready to rock. I need to get product into bags as quickly as possible, so I'm starting from feminized seed. My choice of strains was determined by what fems I had on hand. I'm going to try some things I haven't tried before and probably fuck some stuff up along the way (I always fuck something up at least a little). I hope to document every step, more for me than for you. I'd like to have a record of what worked and what didn't for future reference.

11:00 pm - Seeds were lightly scuffed with sandpaper. 5 glass containers were filled with roughly 4 oz of distilled water. About 0.5 ml of 34% H2O2 was added to the distilled water in each glass. Seeds were dropped in the glass containers, one strain per container.

11:00 am - Seeds placed on moist paper towel, folded and put in open zip lock bags. Measured out 43 Solo cups worth of coco choir and divided it into 2 - 5 gallon buckets. Grabbed cups and trays for the seedlings to go into.
7:00 pm - Boiled 3 gallons of reverse osmosis water and divided it into the 2 buckets of coco. Put lids on the buckets and will leave to cool over night.

am - Rinsed the pasteurized coco with reverse osmosis water. Filled a 50 cell seed tray with the rinsed coco. I rinse the coco because it improves the texture. I don't bother rinsing if I have more than a few gallons of coco to do. Usually I add 20%-50% perlite depending on how big the pots are. The bigger the pot, the more perlite. Seedlings do not get any perlite. Solo cups get about 20%. 3 gallon pots and bigger get about 50%.
7:00 pm - I opened the paper towels an planted the seeds into the tray. 41 of the 43 seeds had tails ranging from 1/4" to 1/2" and looked like the picture above. 2 of the Five Star had not cracked. I don't have a whole lot of hope for those 2, but planted them anyway.
I mixed about 2 ml Tribus, 2 ml Cal Mag, 1 Tbsp Azos and 1 tsp of Myco Jordan in a gallon of ro water. Came out to 6.1pH and 170ppm on the 500 scale. I filled a quart (~liter) sized spray bottle and soaked the seedling tray with it. I put a dome on it, which is not necessary, but the tray is going to sit in my office until I get my veg room cleaned out and set up. It's pretty dry in the office. I don't want the tray drying out too quick. I'll pull the lid off once all or most of the seedlings are up, or I have my room ready, whichever is first.

Cleaned up the veg room and set up a couple flood tables. I spent way too long making tags for the seedlings. At least they are color coded so they will be easier for my dumb stoned ass to keep straight. There are a few babies starting to poke up out of the coco.

Most of the seedlings are up. A couple are visible at the surface and a couple have not shown up yet. All of the Durban Poison are up and open. Super stoked about those!

Still waiting for a couple to come up. A few that came up look a little fucked up. Hopefully they all come up and are fine. Still stoked about the Durban. I know it is way early to judge, but I got a feeling they are going to be the star of the show.

All of the seedlings that have broke the surface are getting bigger, even the fucked up looking ones are getting taller. I'm interested to see if they ever grow leaves. I can't recall seeing this before. If they still look weird tomorrow, I'll take a close up of them. It looks like there are still 2 that need to break ground. One of them is one of the Five Stars that didn't sprout in the paper towel. I'm just going to be patient. I scored a couple more CMH lights to hang in the flower room. I might fill another tray seeds and do a big sea of green style run. I don't have any more fem seeds on hand, but I will be able to flip to flower sooner and catch the males before they are ready to be trellised. If I decide to go for it, I should be able to shave a month or so off the total time to harvest
