Cat + potted dirt = lost seed........or so we thought.
2 weeks after planting she plays peekaboo. Here she is ladies and gentlemen; my little lost seedling. Meet Grace everyone! For she once was lost, but now is found. 😘
Shes filling out. A little growth and some spread. Taking in 8oz per watering. Still learning. Going to order a PH tester and finally learn how to test and keep ph level accurate. I'm learning.
She keeps growing and spreading out. Will probably start tucking her big fans in next week or the middle of this week.
Dropped light a few inches and she's taking on more water. I'm excited to watch her growth as she was a surprise. She's exceeding the BCN growth and I love that I can compare them. Yes, I know all seeds and plants grow differently. However, its nice to witness differences knowing all other factors are close to even.
She's got a couple little pistles so hubby moved her to 12 on a light schedule and into the flowering room.
We will see how she reacts and probably make adjustments for her as needed.
Had a rough past week.
Experiment plant died. Room got too hot.
New light works wonders, but forgot to calculate temp increases between rooms, plus the increase in temps in our locale.
1.5 days with no love and My husband and I were like oh dang!
Added fan and turned on air. Temps were mid 80s in all rooms. We are watching closely and all rooms (as of now) are back to normal. 😊
Stardawg: She always surprises me. Not only is she still shooting upward. She's the only one that didn't show and signs of stress after the temp situation.
We moved her to the flower room and set her up with her light and more space to grow.
No real change or update. Sorry. Opening day for rifle. 😁 Getting 🦌.
Bought ph testers. (Water and soil) New light and changing the rooms around again. Its a constant change for us as we upgrade and learn. Plus super limited space. Will do complete update midweek or for next weeks update.
Shes good. Very happy!
Shes strong and very resilient. She kept up through the heat and adjustment in temps very well.
She continues to grow and is flowing well. We started adding some bloom nutrients last week when my updates fell flat....😞.
I tried to get a good shot of her main bud stalk but couldn't get a good angle. Will try to get good shots of each bud pointnon this one next week. They are already nice and prominent, but I'm hoping to see more growth through this week. Eek. I do so hope she turns out well.
So far she's the only one we have a shot at a decent harvest. (Out of what we've got done and growing so far.)
A few of her fan leaves were eaten by my dog.
My baby (dog) is fine. She was sleepy, but is doing really well.
This week we removed big fan leaves and left only those needed for the flowering process. She is doing really well and is (in my opinion) thriving.
The first one we have had that looks like one should look at this stage too. :) Super happy, but DO NOT want to jinx this one.
I am happy! She is still doing really well and her flowers are growing. My husband is upset because she is not huge. However, With this issues of heat we had and our poor growing techniques in the beginning, I think she is amazing. My husband mentioned not seeing any trichomes......HAHA I made sure to capture her beautiful buds with a bunch of trichomes. May not be massive like we have seen before, but definitely present and plentiful for now. I am guessing two weeks before she is ready. We are basically leaving her alone not making any changes or removing any more leaves. Last week (reminder) we started the week with no nutrient and only water because it looked like we had some nutrient burn. However, she is doing well and is getting her nutrients and watering regularly again. Till next week!!! :)
She is doing so well! Yes! I know she is not as big as we have seen. However, for us she is finally looking like a plant should. We are researching and changing routines to ensure our better chances in the future.
She is pretty though right!?! 😍
We are going to start flushing her next week. We may start this week. That is up for debate. Actually it is really up to her right.
Really paying close attention to the hairs and trichomes. We do not want to harvest early like we have had to before or did because we did not know any better. I love watching them grow!!!!!!!
EEK!!!! We bought a toy. A little portable microscope to plug into my phone to take close-ups. Not the best, but it'll work for now. SOO EXCITED!!!!! 😁
Ok so With this beauty I was able to capture a few more pics close up on the new toy.
We are still watching closely because we think she is about ready.
We have been flushing her the past week and continuing into this week. If her other colas show more milky trichomes, we will harvest mid-weekish... We want to be sure she is harvested at the proper time and best potential for her. She by far is the best looking we have grown thus far.
We are going to try the darkness for a day or two before we harvest to see if we notice any difference. We are so new, we probably won't. However, I like the idea of trying something new and proven by many others. 👊
12/21/20 she was placed in darkness for 24 hours. She was then trimmed and hung to dry.
We did not weight her wet, but will when she is dry. I will update when she id finished. :)
Although she came in a month after and surprised up, she continued to surprise us as she grew. We started her using the wrong lighting, so she was stunted. However, after she started flowering, we moved her into new lights and she took off fast and did much better. She actually looked like a plant that was brought up right.
Her buds to me looked amazing, but I know now that they would be more amazing if we started her life off right!
14.5 Grams dry. Not a lot, but its the biggest haul we have from a plant thus far. We have learned a lot and plan to use this knowledge for future grows. Lighting!!! How much wattage, coverage, and more and more. There is so much knowledge to be gained just in this area and it is super important!!! I would say the most important. In my opinion! 😋😘 I suggest reading a lot of these diaries, watch a lot of YouTube, and read a ton of information just about lighting.
Going back to the grow. She did have set backs, but turned out beautiful. Her biggest bud was nice. I wish we could've seen her full potential (as anyone else would have as well 😍), but we are ordering some seeds of the strain and hope we have nice results. I wish we knew actually where this one seed came from. It was a gift from a friend! Thank you I love you!
So for the taste (since I cannot taste really 😆) my husband said it was sweet and citrus-ish. Honestly, I thought it tasted sweet too. I did not get the citrus taste. That would have been nice for once. 😊 I tasted a sweet, earthy, woody, herby mix. 😕Meh! What do you do?
The effects for me. Like always made me relaxed, sleepy, and happy. I did not get dry eyes, but did have a little bit of dry mouth. My Husband: He danced for me. Shhhh don't tell him I told you that! LOL (Hi Baby! I love you! 😍😘) He would not shut-up......It didn't matter about what. He just kept talking. If you thought he was done, he wasn't. He just needed to breathe. I am not saying this as a bad thing towards my husband. We even laughed at how much he was talking because he realized it. 😂 Even with all the talking, he did not experience dry mouth.
This did not last long for us either. 15- 20 minutes tops. We both believe that if we were to try the buds from the center cola, this would be a different story. We wanted to see how well the outer small colas were before smoking the main. (plus we want to really let it sit for a couple weeks.
We debated taking the middle cola and drying it and letting the others finish more. We obviously did not choose this, but believe we will put this into practice for some as we move forward.
Onto Bigger and Better buds all! Thank you for sticking with me. I appreciate all that read along as we go! 😘
