Here we go with the next batch from Mephisto Genetics, Cosmic Queen is one of the three strains I'm starting this time around.
I am so happy with the progress of my Fast Buds Californian Snow in my DWC experiment that I decided to make a 3x bubble bucket setup and do my Mephisto's hydroponically. I went out and bought a nice new pump and will run all four air stones off it and have all four of my DWC's in one tent.
More to come over the next couple days as they pop and I get them into Rockwool cubes.
The Cosmic Queen has some sort of twisted leaf thing going on, the new growth also seems to have one smaller twisted leaf and one normal one. Seems healthy enough otherwise, just gonna keep an eye on her and see what happens.
The Cosmic Queen seems to be doing alright. There is still that weird leaf distortion and she's a little off balance because of it... But the new growth starting to emerge looks pretty decent, so I'm hoping it'll grow out of it. The taproot emerged from the bottom of the tophat on day 12, not bad compared to my first DWC which took over two weeks.
Happy to report the Cosmic Queen is doing a bit better. There is still some weirdness going on here, but it seems healthy so we're gonna stick it out and see what happens. Each node that grows either has only one side to it or one side is stunted compared to the other. It has really nice root structure so far, the nicest of the three I started this time around.
Seen some nice improvements in the condition of this young lady this past week, her root system appears to be really healthy. There is still a bit of weirdness with her structure, but it seems she's growing out of it. She is the largest, and has the most established root system of my three Mephisto projects.
The Cosmic Queen is still the healthiest of my three Mephisto's. It had the worst start of the three but she's turned around nicely. Really nice root development over the last few days.
The Cosmic Queen seems to be doing fine... she's not gonna be a huge plant, but seems healthy so I'm optimistic for a nice harvest. Still a little underdeveloped for her age due to a slow start.
I've seen a lot of growth on this girl over the last couple days... she's really started to stretch, up and out. I gave her a good trim on the underside and got rid of a lot of little crap.
I've been absent for a few weeks... my best friend (my dog) got really sick and I had to put her down... I just have not had the will to invest any time in my garden, much less my diaries. But, I'm making an effort to get back on track now... So here we go.
My Cosmic Queen is one stinky lady! I mean seriously, it reeks of piney sweetness. This plant has trichomes everywhere, even the petioles are covered in them. Bud production seems a bit slow, but that's probably due to the lack of attention they have had the last few weeks. I'm gonna treat her like the queen she is for the next couple weeks til we're done. She is easily drinking a gallon or more every two days as the temps start to rise here.
I'm not expecting a whole lot from this girl, she is really showing her Ruderalis traits from the three point leaves to the scrawny buds. Trichome production is off the charts! When it's all said and done I think this will mostly be a edibles plant. The buds are small and not very dense at all. I started a flush on her today and going to harvest it on the weekend. I really need space and this one is close enough.
I'm just closing up these diaries.. This was a decent yielding plant that produced some nice tasting smoke. I'm not gonna be specific on weights but it was at least a couple ounces dried from this one.
