In the same conditions, I germinated all three of the named strains, however Black D.O.G has yet to surface. I've been germinating some bagseed since then, and will perhaps be replacing Black D.O.G in this journal with that one. They were all planted on Thursday, so I will wait until one week before calling it a bad germ.

There are no nutrients being fed yet, however Lemon Pie is showing very early signs of being 'hungry' without any evident deficiencies. I reckon a Trellis Net will be put in place at the start of the fourth week of veg (Day 21). In the coming days I'll be considering starting some LST techniques to get the nodes going in the right direction for the makeshift net, and the extra soil is planned for the 5th or 6th week, unless I come across issues.

Lemon Pie had some lower branches snipped to promote early growth, and showed a magnesium deficiency that I couldn't wait too long to deal with, so there is some visible stress to leaves as a result of watering before schedule. She is recovering well. Skunk #1 is doing great, without a single issue. I'm very pleased, the leaves are quite chunky and very healthy looking. I'll be looking forward to both in the coming weeks, as I believe they are getting ready for growth spurts. One thing I have noticed on both plants, is that the root has come out of the bottom of the pots. They don't seem to be hindering the plant's growth, in fact they're growing better than I could ask for, so this may be something I need to keep an eye on.

Lemon Pie's larger fan leaves showed some stress, as a result of the over-watering to get rid of a deficiency last week, however most of them are all in tip top shape. I've been bending them through LST to get them ready for a trellis net, I think that day is overdue! Thank goodness for the existence of zip ties. Skunk #1 is growing perfectly, it's quite amazing. Very pleased with this one.

skipped a week as my real life has taken a mad turn (all positive, however plans have had to be shifted). no longer able to SCroG, and I've removed the zip ties that were training the plants to let them grow free. they're looking good, and they've just begun flowering I would say as the pistils have shown (after a week of lights being flipped).

added some more soil to fill in most of the gap, and they're loving it. I am very impressed at how the little tiny buds look like this early in flower. very impressed with Skunk #1's growth overall!!! absolutely in love with this. Sensi Seeds are known for their genetics and it is very clear that they know their stuff!!!

They're coming along nicely, and apart from some mild discolourations on some leaves, and some small weaker leaves falling off, the strength of the plants overall are quite impressive. Every day I'm noticing something different, and while the main cola hasn't expanded upwards much at all the side-branches have begun to stretch out from the previous week. I added a slightly larger than average sized Chiquita brand banana, to give an idea of the size of the plants (as the large pots can throw some people off). They've started smelling a bit more. The Skunk #1 is giving off a very sweet smell, unlike the skunky aroma I'm used to however it's very early right now. Lemon Pie is giving off a lemon grassy aroma, and these are going by sniffing the bud sites and from rubbing my fingers along the stems gently. ^ Both of these are very pleasant. I'm expecting Skunk to bear it's telltale aroma, however if it stays this sweet I would still be incredibly happy to be honest.

Lemon Pie has been showing a little bit of deficiency, though it doesn't seem serious, although I'm planning to help her out in the next feed. Skunk #1 on the other hand is growing beautifully and, while neither plant have stretched at the main stem, the side branches are showing amazing stretch on Skunk #1, and good but less so on the Lemon Pie. Pistils on Lemon Pie are almost all white still, however the Skunk #1 has has her pistils change a little while ago (it's nearing 50/50 here). In regards to trichomes on the sugar leaves (as the bud is very underdeveloped right now) are more developed on the Lemon Pie than the Skunk #1 (which is a good lesson on why you shouldn't go by the hairs so much I reckon!) I'm very impressed with both plants, and as the aroma drifts into the next stage both plants are exhibiting their strain qualities a bit more. Skunk #1 began quite sweet, and strong, right off the bat however now it's leaning towards a slight musk, but still very sweet. Lemon Pie smells like... Lemon pie. I know it sounds strange, though imagine your nose above a fresh, tart lemon meringue pie, and that's literally what my jacket smells of (another good tip is to not wear a loose jacket when you're leaning over the plants!) Sensi Seeds got these genetics on point! Lemon Pie will still be a nice smoke, but the growth has been nothing like Skunk #1 :)

They are both coming along nicely. Lemon Pie's issues have been fixed, although some leaves were left damaged. I snipped the burnt ends of some, though left most in tact to not stress her too much. Skunk #1 is the chunkiest, and nicest smelling of the two. I decided to lower my lights further, and monitor how the plants react. So far they're handling it well, although the temperature has been rising (the very recent weather spike does not help either) and I'm trying to mitigate this with turning my fan up, and pointing it towards the light. Wish me luck, though honestly I don't think anything is going wrong, especially with Skunk #1 - cannot wait until she is ready, I am being quite patient :)

This is the week when they both start their flush. It could be for one or two weeks, depending on how developed the trichomes are. I'm keeping an eye on them, and there seems to be a little while to go, though the flush will be for at least 1 week and will be all water no molasses.
