Heeeeeeeeere’s Slurry! (*done in a Jack Nicholson voice impression*) Hopefully seeing me growing Slurricane, y’all were waiting on me to clone, clone, clone and keep it going. There were some doubts I couldn’t clone anymore (nah), and I had to take care of my friends too. Grow from seed, check. Grow to clone, check. Root some clones, check. Take care of my immediate off camera bestie, and also pass the genes onto Hellishjam - the East Coast King, check and check. Take a healthy clone and thrust it into my breeding program, check. Are there any clones left to just grow? .... yes, there are two regular clones left! Recall that Slurricane is from InHouse Genetics, and is a cross of Dos-si-dos x Purple Punch.
I have had alot of clones ongoing and things were too hard to keep track of the photos and so no pictures of roots. One clone is from August 22nd, one from August 30th and just transplanted, so call it day 43. I used HP Pro Mix, with a small amount of perlite and worm castings added, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae.
My tent is a DIY hung mylar tent in an unfinished basement. I have two 300 actual watt full spectrum LEDs. I have a centralized air duct system that feeds heat pump/furnace/fan circulated air. I include temperature and humidity data from yesterday and part of today.
I know BudXs would be proud. This is what Beans does best, spread that DNA everywhere! Hopefully, the greater potential is tapped. You can check out the mother who is currently in flower: Slurricane 2020 (I).
Day 50 for the two Slurricane clones. One is adjusting fast, and growing fast. I anticipate a quick turnaround for a transplant, and a heavy reliance on LST. The other is following behind just at a slightly slower pace. It has taken some time to transition the green of the leaves, and I anticipate it can hit an even higher peak of growth. No complaints thus far, their parent is really impressing me.
Day 57 for the Slurricane clown show 🤡. I done it again ... 🤦♂️🏻. This plant loved to stretch, isn’t stalky at all, so a thick, overcrowded tent is going to make it a comical mess. I might have to check out the local garden store to see if there any leftover tomato cages, or try to finish up the flowering run and reuse them. That said, I can always LST with a brace. At least I have the line going with multiple grows and have distributed. Due for some transplants this week. I don’t have the digital data, I’m going have to figure out whats wrong. The manual temp./humidity is much cooler under the thick canopy. This is what I will enter as data this week. Things should be soon less crowded.
Day 64 for the two Slurricane clones. I cleared some of the veg. tent to reveal stretched plants begging for light. LST was in the cards anyway. I transplanted both clones into larger containers of HP Pro Mix with a small amount of worm castings and perlite added, 4-4-4 Gaia Green All Purpose, and Myke Flower mycorrhizae. I did train both plants, a giant bend like a bow and arrow. More light should help increase branch size and stability. Clones would be way off yet as the lanky node spacing is not ideal for rooting. I am topping and defoliating as needed.
Day 71 for the two Slurricane clones. The tent has been cleared and there is much more light available all around. Thanks again for the genetics, BudXs. Its clear all the plants are too big so I am liberally topping to control things. I had extra solution of Safer’s potassium based soap and neem oil so I proactively treated everything and then watered it into the soil. Things were dried out for photos and afterwards I irrigated with water with blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). The low humidity is drying things out even faster.
