From what I've found, it seems to be a pH issue that causes the leaves to turn brown. It doesn't seem to have a significant effect on growth, so I'll be more careful next time.
The new leaves look slightly yellowish in color, so I'll try to fertilize them a little more.
It is in the early stage of flowering, but the smell is not so strong yet.
