I have 1 wedding cake seed left I am going to grow with 3 Obi-Wan Kush seeds in my 4 bucket RDWC setup. Trying to get rid of my random seed pack leftovers and these will fit nicely together I believe. I’ve grown both strains before and they are both some of my favourite strains to grow and smoke. Wedding cake was exceptional last time round growing it so I’m hoping for good things. I had it sit in a glass of water over night and then planted it into a peat moss pellet in my DIY rooting machine. It will sit in 24hrs dark until the seedlings emerge. ***update: well the peat moss pellets where a bust in the cloning machine...lol I realized on the 3rd day that they where just staying soaked and probably drowning the seeds. I took them out and just put them in a cloning tray under my light. My one wedding cake seed is now popped up and starting to grow 👍

So I definitely remember now why I put these stupid jiffy peat moss pellet things away awhile ago. They are the worst!!! There either swamped wet or rock hard dry. Really hard to keep them in between. Lol I had to take them out of my cloning machine do to the fact they where just to wet for this stage. I usually use rock wool cubes but I ran out of them and decided to try these stupid things again. I was able to get her sprouted though and I will be moving her to a 3 gal DWC bucket as soon as I build them. For watering, I’ve just been dunking them halfway in my cloning reservoir and letting them soak up some water for a sec and pull them out. It seems to be keeping them wet but not soaked, and there good for about 24Hrs untill she is dry and needs more. I will upload some more pics later in the week once I get her in a DWC bucket. Cheers 💨

This past week was not the greatest start for her but she is doing better then the Obi-Wan Kush in the same exact conditions basically. I had a small mishap with me calculating double the nutrient mixture on my first dose, and ph was a bit high around 7 for a few days as well. So she got a real hot start for a bit unde less then ideal ph conditions to say the least. But she took it pretty good and is trucking along. I got her in a 3gal bucket now in her final netpot lid, then we will be moving her over to the 5gal buckets once she goes to the flowering tents in a few weeks. I like to Veg under my smaller LED lights with much less power on the 18/6 cycle, then I can run my 1000w HPS just for flowering on the 12/12 cycle all the time. Save power and money. Lol doing my part to keep the earth green! Cheers💨

Was a good second week, had some heat issues in the beginning, but once I rerouted my flowering tents air conditioner exhaust outside instead of the room this tent was in she cooled down. I was heating my basement with the exhaust from one of my air conditioners and my light exhaust as well. Snows coming soon so I’m trying to recycle some heat instead of dumping it outside, I will move them back in probably when we hit the -20c to -40c weather in a month or so....Lol Topped her yesterday at day 15 at the 4th node. She didn’t even flinch! Roots are well established now and growing daily. Still got 2-3 weeks or so till they can hit the flowering tent so I will be making some more insulated top covers with anchor wires attached to begin LST once these new tops come up in a week or so. Loving this UC Roots stuff, keeping my shit pristine in all the buckets across all my tents. Even my RDWC systems are sparking clean still well into flowering, can’t really see my roots to much anymore to check them though because they are screened and Scrog’d out. But if the res and water is sparkling I’m hoping the rest is...lol well that’s it for this week! Cheers! 💨

Had a bumpy week this week a little bit, started to get a bit to cold I think at night and this combined with a nitrogen abundance made her slow glowing this week. She’s coming around now though, just diluted my water/nutrients mixture in half and left her be. Got my AC exhaust from one of my flower tents pulling through this tent now so the temps are back up again to normal as well. Be moving her soon to the big tent, I’m guessing a week or so till it’s ready for her. Will be starting lst soon to get her ready for the screen as well, didn’t wanna stress her last week anymore while she was bouncing back still. That’s it for this week. Cheers💨

I’m a week late posting on these as I was a week ahead in the timeframe for this diary because of the new Germination option. We are caught up now day wise anyway, and all is good. Finally got her into the flowering tent and into my 5 gal RDWC system under a 1000w HPS on a light rail mover. We flipped her to flowering as soon as we got her in because my DWC systems tend to grow big ass plants. Lol so I’ve decided to flip without much of my screen full and let the stretch fill it. I will also be hitting them at 1000w rite from the start instead of trying to turn it down and get it closer to save power consumption. I will be starting with the light already up as high as it can be at about 3 ft above the screen. I’ve also shortened the span of my rail mover and set my pauses shorter at about 10 sec. with the light at 1000w we get a better spread out on the light meter and don’t need to move the light as far. I’m also going to keep tucking till they completely stop stretching in an effort to keep them as low as possible. We also had some excessive nitrogen build up a couple weeks ago and dropped the ec way down to 0.2 for the next week. They responded quick and went in the opposite direction very fast and before I new it we had nitrogen deficiency. Lol so we got them sitting around 0.75 EC now and they are coming back around. Well that’s it for this week, Cheers! 💨

Last week went good for the first week of flower, having trouble again with my ph meter....ughhh. Ordered 2 new ph meters this week, a decent 4 in 1 (ph/ec/ppm/temp) pen and plug in, 3 in 1 (ph/ec/temp) meter with leads to leave in my res(my second one for my second res). Also got more calibration solution, and storage solution. Sick of second guessing my crappy pens, gonna start fresh will all new ph equipment. Lol but she really started to stretch out this week, with the little amount of lst I did to her just before flip she has really bulked up and spread out. 10 days into flower now and she is still stretching and being tucked. I removed a few of the larger guard leaves up top to open up the secondary shoots to light, I have around 40000 lux at the first screen and they seem to be handling it nicely. I will be doing a major underclipping and removing everything below the first net in a few days time I think. I flipped this tent without filling the screen and I’m hoping to keep everything low and tucked until the stretch is almost finished, then let them bud up into the higher lux, hopefully keeping them less then a foot above the screen. That’s the plan anyway. Lol well that’s it for this week, Cheers💨

This girl is growing on her own almost...lol very easy plant so far, takes a ph swing like a champ and really seems to like anything I throw at her. Been trying to keep nutes on the lower side as well and that seems to be working out so far too. She stretched up a bit more then the other Obiwan Kush’s around her, but I’ll just even them out with the next screen, no biggy. Got some good bud development so far I think and having my light mover setup properly now with the light running at 1000w seems to be working nicely. So far so good. Cheers 💨

1 month in now and all is still good. She finished stretching and I got the second net on now about a foot above the first screen. I tucked her a bit to level her off with the other 3 Obi-wan kush around her, shes still up a bit higher on the sides but I let those go cause there on the sides...lol still feeding nutrients on the lower side, just shy of half strength. Buds are developing good, not as big as the Obi-wan but that was to be expected. Cheers 💨

End of week 5 and all is good. She is starting to make a lot of nice size buds on her, nothing like the Obi-wan around her but she was spread out more under the screen and the Obi-wan was pretty much just topped and let go for the most part, I tucked a couple branches to keep things level but only a few. Also the Obi is more Indica and a bigger yielder. But these are shaping up to produce a lot of decent buds. Up her nutrients with the rest to half strength now and she loves it. Gonna keep her at that level now I think till the last week of flush. She shares a reservoir with the other 3 Obi-wan so I’m glad she is so resilient to everything. Cheers 💨

Beginning of week 6 and all is still good. She’s got some nice big frosty nugs on her all over the place. She stretched out more then my other 3 obi-wan so her buds are more spread out then the other indica dominated plants around her. Hers are the frostiest nugs of them all though, even got a bunch of her guard leaves covered in tricombs. Loving this girl so far in this setup, I’ve done her before in a smaller tent under cheap Led lights in DWC and got good results, but this girl is knocking it outside the park so far for ease of growing it and what she produces no matter how you grow her. Lol Cheers 💨

This girl is looking delicious! She’s not packing it on quite as much as the Obi-wan’s are, but they are so beautiful looking. Just covered in tricombs everywhere. She is starting to show signs of pk deficiency, older leaves are starting to yellow and we are now seeing the hairs starting to recede and some turning red. Probably be harvesting her first before the other 3 obi-wan girls as she looks to be slowing down faster...if that makes any sense...lol I’m not planning on doing a lengthy flush on her so I’m thinking we will wait till we see all cloudy tricombs and then give her a week or so flush till we start seeing about 20% amber. Well that’s it for this week! Cheers 💨

This was a good strain for my setup, scrog’d well and produced over 7 ounces off the one plant. Never had any problems with her, she was the first to respond to the nutrients being reduced to half for the last 2 weeks. She started fading at only a few days in. She grew fast in veg and finished up in 8 weeks with beautiful frosty nugs. Smell was a bit intense the last month of flowering or so. Over all a great strain in all categories. Cheers 💨
