The Kush XL in the back are on day 26 from seed, and the Dragon's Breaths in front are on day 19. All have been topped, I either top or LST all my autos-I follow a general rule that if I have 4 -6 nodes by day 18-20 I'll top-and this is often bc I grow all my autos in coco or hydro. Both strains have a finish time of between 50-60 days-realisitically though I think they'll be 9 or 10 weeks-hope I'm surprised though by an early harvest.
Entering week 5, Day 29 for the Kush XL in the back that are 18 inches tall, SolarExtreme 250 is 15" above them. The Dragon's Breath in front are at 13" tall with the ES180 hanging 19" above them. They are on a 9am-3am schedule and are fed twice daily @ around 11 am and then again at 11 pm. Have been defoliated daily, training-mainly just gently spreading them out, and today cut a low branch off both the Kush XL in back. One thing I'm doubtful of; is considering the state of their development currently; these are not 50-60 day flowering strains as Pacific Seed Bank specs.
Day 31 for the Kush XL, 24 Dragons Breath, I defoliated on day 29 both plants are in stretch at the moment, if they're like most autoflowers I've grown their growth should slow week 6? and then bud development/bulking gets underway in earnest. I've moved the lights around, the solarextreme is now in front, and es180 in the back, both are 15" above the canopy.
The Kush XL in the back, older than the Dragons Breath by a week are now 26"-28" tall (36" off the floor when you account for the pot & drainage grate beneath it) Dragon's Breath are 15"-16"
Day 36 on the Kush XL in back, Day 29 for the Dragons Breath in front. I use filtered tap on all my grows, at this point with both strains develping flowers I'm dropping the 1 ml cal-mag and replacing it with 1-1.5ml liquid koolbloom, I have about a weeks of rapid start left, and will be discontinuing that for this grow once it's exausted. So my nutrient mix currently is as follows per gallon: 1 ml Silica, 1.5 tsp/7.5ml Floranova Bloom, 1ml Floralicious Plus, 1.0-1.5 ml liquid Koolbloom, 1.0 ml rapidstart, one day weekly I add 1 ml Mammoth P. I fertigate all 4 plants twice daily usually giving them each a quart at every feeding, sometimes when they are extra hungry I wll fertigate 3 times daily.
All four have been topped, the Kush XL are currently 32 inches & the Dragons Breath 26 inches, today I did a large pruning/defoliation-usually what I do around day 19-22 with photoperiod strains and a week or two after flowers emerge on autoflowers.
Day 40 Kush XL are currently at 39-40 inches, the Dragon's Breath, planted a week after the Kush XL are at 34 inches. Honestly, all the plants are identical, I see no differences between the Kush XL & Dragon's Breath and suspect they are all the same strain, just labeled differently by Pacific Seedbank. This was supposed to be my xmas weed this year to have over the winter break for myself and a couple friends, and the bud development has been so slow I'm beginning to doubt they'll be ready in time for Christmas. If there are any drastic changes I'll update this grow accordingly, but going forward I'm sorry I'm unable to recomment Pacific Seebank. Back to Seedsman for me.
So we're at day 47 with the Kush XL that is supposed to have a flowering period of 50-60 days and be of medium height. As you can see in the pic this plant (that was topped!) measures 45 inches /114cm from soil level. For an Autoflower, particularly one thats been topped like this I'd consider that "tall" and the flowering period, judging by the current flower development will be much longer than 50-60 days-I wouldn't be suprised if this turns out to be a 12 week strain. They are in coco which I fertigate twice daily and monitor my runoff ppms, I remove the plants from the tent daily to rinse off their saucers and support grids, so when I buy seeds I shop for medium or even short plants. When they're this tall they just make it a PIA for this daily rotation.
So I've concluded these seeds are not what I thought I was ordering, and I wouldn't be suprised if they turn out to be autoflower hemp seeds. Pacific Seedbank has lost my trust, and thus my business.
