WEEKLY SUMMARY:
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
🙋♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋♀️
Today, we are germinating a seed for another new cultivar. Meet 🍌🍇🍓🍏RUNTZ , this cultivar is bred by PEV GROW SEEDS! Huge thanks to everyone at PEV GROW SEEDS for allowing me the opportunity to test these genetics! This feminized 50% Indica/50% Sativa photo-dependant hybrid cross is said to be capable of producing over of 27% THC! I am always a fan of sweet and fruity strains and the breeder's website description says shes "a delicious combination of fruity notes, with certain sweet caramel nuances, all combined with a tropical background that far from being out of tune, brings the finishing touch to a sensory experience that is difficult to describe." Sounds pretty awesome to me! I hope you'll follow along and join me for this grow show!
Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.
Now, for the weekly break down!

WEEKLY SUMMARY:
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
🙋♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋♀️
This week, our 🍌🍇🍓🍏RUNTZ cultivar bred by PEV GROW SEEDS decided to make an appearance! Huge thanks to everyone at PEV GROW SEEDS for allowing me the opportunity to test their genetics! I am very excited to see what this little seedling will grow up to look, smell, and taste like. She is supposed to be super potent and sweet like fruit candy! We should all be in for a treat with this cultivar! Give this diary a follow to see how she progresses!
Water/Nutrients are fed as needed, typically on a bidiurnal interval. She receives probably somewhere between 2-6 ounces every other day around the base of the plant when the medium is dry. I try to water just before wilting begins.
Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.
Now, for the weekly break down!

• WATER APPLICATION: I use 2 different watering systems. The pump sprayer is typically used in early veg, between feeds, or for lighter feeds. Most feeds are usually run through the pump and reservoir because it's faster and easier when dealing with larger volume feeds.
– 2 GALLON LAWN & GARDEN PUMP PRESURE SPRAYER. * I removed the spray head due to clogs and it's just faster.
– Superior Pump 91250 Utility Pump, 1/4 HP in a heavy duty 27-gallon Tote attached to a 10 foot garden hose to an Orbit Underground 56246 Green Thumb 9-Pattern Telescoping Wand.
– Aeration of the reservoir is accomplished using a General Hydroponics HGC728040 Dual Diaphragm Air Pump 320 GPH 4 Outlet attached with standard aquarium air hose to four 4-Inch Air Stone Disc Bubble Diffusers.

Dimmer, UV Switch, and IR Switch included. Each board contains two hundred fifty-two 3000k lm301h diodes + twelve Osram 660nm diodes plus 4 separately switchable LG UV 395nm diodes and 4 separately switchable Osram IR 730nm diodes.
• BLOOM LIGHTING: Two custom mounted lighting units: Each mount has one 480w MEANWELL 480H-48B driver and one 240w MEANWELL 240H-48AB powering 6 King-Bright Quantum Boards. Each board contains two hundred fifty-two 3500k lm301h diodes + twelve CREE XP-E2 660nm diodes plus four separately switchable CREE XP-E2 730nm diodes and four LG UV 395nm diodes. Hanging between the two mounts are two additional quantum boards with two hundred fifty two 3000k lm301h diodes + twelve 660nm diodes plus four constant power 730nm IR diodes and four 395nm UV diodes. That's a total of 1680 watts of quantum board power in our 96" x 48" bloom tent.

I could not figure out for the life of me, why my plants started taking a turn for the worse. It took me a few weeks to figure out, but I had purchased some bogus pH 7.0 reference solution. My meter actually calibrated with the solution the first time I calibrated with it and the next time it started spitting out errors when calibrating. It turns of the pH of the reference solution was 9.3. Some of our plants fared better than others, but they were all definitely stunted to some degree.
While unfortunate, it was a good experience because important lessons have been learned regardless of the damage that was done.
Thanks for stopping by my garden!

If you missed the last update, you missed that I had purchased some bunk pH 7 calibration solution and threw off my pH. At the time, I had no idea what was going on because I had calibrated my meter and everything looked like it was in range. I had also recently upgraded to RO/KDF filtered water and was thinking maybe it was a cal-mag thing, which may still have been a contributing factor in the problems I have been experiencing.
This week, I decided to recalibrate my meter, and started getting error codes. At first I was worried the meter might have been going out and based off my plants, I knew pH was a likely culprit. I really want to get a good digital soil pH meter if anyone has any recommendations based on personal experience.
Happy growing y'all!
