Always wanted to try this strain!
Paper towel method keep between two plates and keep in a warm place.
Make sure not to let the paper towel dry out but don’t soak too much either.
I use bottled water starting off.
These seeds should be popped within the week.
And I will transfer all into jiffy pellets.
Using biobizz allmix soil so no nutrients for the first few weeks.
Will begin to give biobizz root juice this week.
I use bottled water for the first few weeks.
Will be keeping one of these in veg and will be trying my first time taking cuttings.
Topped this week grew to 5th node and topped to the 3rd node and cleared under the 3rd.
Transplanting soon into big tent where I will change light to 600w hps and begin lst.
I have transplanted into the final pots and into the bigger tent.
I have topped and will be training and mainlining them this week.
6 plants I am hoping to cover as much area with 2x600w hps.
Now using plastic pots. The fabric are good for oxygen and watering but I feel the salts build up to easy and effect the overall outcome.
Training this week stems are thickening so will be tricky.
Only done 6 plants this time and give more time to train instead of 8.
Growing well this week.
The plants responded well to defoil. 3 plants stretching 3 staying smaller.
I think I have a phosphorus deficiency on one plant so I will be increasing bloom.
However testing runoff the PH has been a little low and could be the problem to causing a phosphorus lockout also a possible calcium deficiency. Red stems and brown spots. So I will be increasing PH to get it to 6.5.
Bad news this week had an electric outage few weeks ago.
I am left with two. The rest hermied. I was looking forward to these and will do again in the future. We have been suffering low temps as well and changed pots so a few factors have played in this. First time it’s happened so onto the next.
Starting to give me water at each watering as the ppm run off was on the high side. The PH was low too. Now corrected.
So I will be increasing bloom this week.
Hoping these last two survive.
Already started my next plants.
These last two are trying to survive.
The leaves yellowing badly and brown spots developing and red stems.
Tried adjusting PH as it was on the lower side 5.8-6. By flushing through with 6.8.
I then used calmag. I then started to heat the feeding water. But no luck with the deficiencies.
Put another tube heater in at plant pot level to rule out cold roots.
The smaller plant hermied.
I decided to takedown and hang for drying. Never done it this early before and trichomes just clear and some milky.
So unsure of how this will go but I just want to get on and make way for my next grow.
The plants hermied and I caught 2 just in time. The flush didn’t exist and had to cut early.
Usually I wouldn’t smoke with no flush but I always go light on nutrients and control ph at all times.
But I will say after cured this wedding cake hit amazing I just wish it could have made it to the finish line and not hermied. But a power outage and cold outside temps could have caused this.
The taste was not good due to no flush. But the longer I cured the milder and better the taste but stronger the high!
Would definitely grow again...to survive an early chop and still be strong is amazing.
Bummer about the outage but the two remaining look really healthy. You mentioned before that you had three phenos that were stretching and three that were bushy. Did one of each survive?
I’ve got some wedding cake in my future. Thanks for sharing your journey! 🙏🏼🌱✌️🏼
@Dr_Doobie, Yes one of each, a stretchy one and a bushy one survived.
It’s the first time I’ve got this far and had to get rid of so many. I changed from fabric pots to plastic and now realising I should be watering more at each time to ensure proper PH. So I am looking after these last two praying they survive 😊
Nice one man..prefer the stretchy one tbh...i just finished mine a 12/12 from seed with some 70grams dried and just smoked one before curing...couldn't tell if it was cured or not as it was so tasty and smelly just right after drying so i guess after some weeks this will be a top notch smoke....hopefully mine will reveg and get some clones out of it....nice work bro enjoy your bud soon
