Hey everyone welcome back to a new advature of the Humbolth Seed Company's x Sherbinski's San Bacio Gelato project!
First of all, im super excited to grow this strain never thought i would have the opportunity to grow some of the original Gelato genetics and besides that is crossed with the HSO's 3 kings blueberry headband which already sounds super complex, so stoked!
Germination:
I skipped the germination part because i was a bit busy to keep her up to date, but she did amazingly well.
Popped within 24 hours and already had a taproot of 6 mm within 48 hours. After 96 hours she was already above the soil and left her in my propagator for the rest of the week
Now here is where it all started, after the first week of geminating she started to stretch like 5 cm so i was thinking my light was a bit to far away from its canopy so i lower the hanging height of my LED panel which was 70 cm from the canopy so i lowered it with 20 cm so its hanging now 50 cm above her.
After i fixed the hanging height of the lamp she took off and started to make more internodes very quick also began to add some bio nutrients from Cellmax , i have used the bio rootbooster, 8-2-2 veg solution and im using the CalSiMag spray once every 3 weeks on the canopy to promote leaf color, vitality and resistance, a few days later also shoots started to appear.
And here is she now as you can see above in the pictures.
That's it for now, see you all next week.
Hey everyone and welcome back in already week 3 of veg with the HSO's San Bacio Gelato mom.
In the beginning of last week i topped her at the 6th node, let her rest for a few day until i noticed some new growth.
At that moment i prepared some soil in a 5.8L pot as the final pot for this mother plant, I just watered the soil and sealed the pot with plastic foil to activate microbes, fungi and all other bio /natural organism's.
After the soil sat there for a bit longer than 24 hours i transplanted her in to her new home, but right before transplanting i sprinkled the roots and the hole where she will be transplanted in with mycorrhiza .
After a few days chillin' she came along nicely and is totally back on track!
Might start to perform some LST techniques on here this coming week.
Thats it for now, see you all next week.
Cheerse!
Hey everyone, welcome back to week 4 veg of the San Bacio Gelato.
Absolute everything was fine Last week! started the week to perform some LST on the main stamp which she took fine, after a couple of days i did the same thing for some side branches which also went fine. (oh btw the spots on the leaves where leaf nutrients)
Actually dont have much more to say for now...
This week i will continue to LST/mainline the side branches more outwards.
Thats it for now see you all next week!
Hey everyone and welcome back in week 5 veg with the San Bacio Gelato.
Sorry for the late update due to a busy week.
She is doing fine did some more LST'ing and she is reacting great, a little miner, looks like she needs more N or CalSiMag but i think its N since i forgot to give 2 ml of Bio 8-2-2 and gave 1 ml instead... oops.
So i'll start correcting that in the first place and see if its getting better, if not i'll give a little spray of CalSiMag.
Growth again is going pretty fast, more shoots on the side branches as well start to take off now.
Thats it for now, see you all next week!
Hey Everyone sorry for not being up to date with my diarie i’m busy with school, work etc.. so ill try to upload more often now.
So welcome back in the clone phase of my diary, i’il flower these babies in about 2 weeks
Besides that i’ve made some steps, turned my veg room in to a cloning/veg room and setup the mother room, took some clones and moved everything around.
Since they where recovering nicely and new growth seemed healthy i topped them just 1 time and will leave them like that.
I will repot them somwhere next week in their final flower container of 5.8L
Thats it for now see you all back next week!
Oke soooo i im kind of back after almost 2 months...
In the past weeks alot of shenanigans went down. My quantum boards where too intense, first hang them some higher but didn’t made any difference so i found this app which works really well (check it out its called korona grow light meter) found out that the ppfd/m2 was way over a 1000 ppfd, so i had to dail down the wattage, i went from 280w to 200w and now everything looks fine on light intensity after i fixed that i had a calcium deficiency which is pretty rare imo. Gave them some dolomite lime, but figured there must be another issue.
My gut told me it would be most likely that the pH dropped a bit to much due to adding PK booster. While figuring out what the problem was i spotted some thrips... so i had right away issue number 2.
I was in luck i still had a bit of ‘Rogis’ which is an organic pesticide based on garlic, so thats what i give a little extra when i water them, hopefully they will stop feeding from the leaves and move out or die...
After correcting the nutrient amount they looked way better and healthier.
Smell is really getting stronger, it smells like a base of classic gelato with some slight lime/citrus on top and some berry undertones, and far in the back some stanky dankyness.
Smell is very promising!
That’s it, till the next one (who knows when that is haha).
Cheerse!
Hey every one welcome back in week 5 flowering.
Not so much to tell, grils are getting fatter every day.
By the looks of it i can tell that these buds will be rock solid!
Resin production is insane, from next week on i will take a closer look on the trichomes.
Thats it for now, see you all in the next episode.
Hey everyone, welcome back in week 6 of flowering the San Bacio Gelato from Humboldt (HSO).
The girls are doing fine, calyxes still exploding, its getting fatter and fatter!
Im amazed by the bud developing, it looks dense af and not even talked about the trichomes! Even the lower buds looks rock solid its insane, most of the time i deal with flufy popcorn buds, but not this one.
Made some close up pictures (too bad i dont have a nice camera with a macrolens) so you have a better look at the trichomes, its almost white when i take a look with my microscope, for now its all milky with here and there some clear trichomes and if you look at some of the buds, some you notice some purple on top!
Smell wise... its soooooo strong I recommend everyone to have a big carbonfilter for this strain😅
So thats it for now in about 2/3 weeks the ladys will be harvested, im veeeery curious how they will turn out!
Till next time!
Hey everyone welcome back in week 7 of flowering with the San Bacio Geato.
Buds are still getting fatter each day, when will it stop?? At least i stoped feeding them PK booster.
Building off nutrients to work towards flushing, this week and the next one will be the last week for nutrients after next week i will start flushing.
Thats it for now, im so excited to harvest this round was a total new experience. Bigger and better optimised tent, first time i did an SOG, new feeding line plus first round using bio nutrients, frist time using a second quantumboards (now i know there is a maximum amount of useable ligt output, i had an avarge of 1600 ppfd on 300watt turned it down to a 200watt with an 600/700ppfd output). So yea i learned a lot, hopefully next round is smooth sailing!
Almost at the end, today is the last day i will give some nutrients. Comming week will be harvest week.
The comming days ill keep a closer look at the trichomes, so i chop em at the right time.
Not much more to say, so y’all next week in harvest week.
Cheerse!
