My last wedding cake got bud rot, which I put down to me going mushroom picking and bringing in spores.
New hygiene regulations in place I hope this girl doesn't suffer the same as she was a beauty last time!
👍
I bought some vermiculite for some mushrooms I'm growing so I thought I'd mix some with my new cheap compost soil "Jacks Magic" which sound like it should do the trick.
I've removed her from her temporary cup. Not something I do often. I usually go straight for the main pot but due to me having none spare she got stuck in a half pint pot.
"It's a nice day for a White Wedding" Lyrics from a song, of which I have no idea but I;'m sure it was in the wedding singer staring Adam Sandler?......
Sorry I don't know how else to write "Nothing has happened except growing" to make it sound interesting
Its the big Christmas move for at least 5 of the girls, and this wedding cake is amongst them.
Apparently (wife and kids) we've got to have a Christmas tree and stuff so it means I've got to move the mailing bag grow tents and combine with the fabric wardrobe thrown together quickly grow tent.
On the grow side this girl is plodding along nicely, not much to report.
This girl was gorgeous last grow.... but she got bud rot which I blame on Magic mushroom picking, so I expect big things from this one.
Growing well in the Super six 'girl' tent made from bedsheets and sticks
An early update because of my Runtz grow.
Nothing much to say about Wedding cake auto number 2 just yet. When nothing is happening except what is supposed to....
So far so good.
Ok, see this bitch here! She be Cray Cray!
WTF is her problem, stupid plant.
Only change from other grows is soil and added vermiculite.....
Perhaps the old compost was a little wetter than this one? ... Oh yeah!
New growth looks ok so not too worried yet.
Soaked her for safety. I'll keep an eye on her.
Note to self: More initial water for future grows with dry compost and vermiculite.
It's not my fault!
So, I accidentally stumbled on a post on another site describing and showing with images the exact same problems I've had with a wedding cake strain.
I blamed the vermiculite, my forgetfulness for watering (which didn't seem right as she wasn't dry soil) Just plain me screwing up but alas
It may be strain related. Hmmm
That aside the girl is recovering well. New growth seems OK but still very pale in colour.
After a rocky start with some weird burnt leaf thing (Perhaps strain related I've found out since it happened) Wedding Cake auto is starting to grow well.
She's still a very pale green but new growth otherwise seems healthy.
It's always an adventure
✌️
Finally she's dark green!
I could have put this week down as flowering as she's on the brink, probably some part to do with the Delta 9 (my new favorite toy)
With that said I predict or foresee a nice stretch coming these next few weeks.
Was going to fim but decided to top her at the last minute, something I've not done to a girl for a while
With Christmas over (I had to move for decorations and tree etc) I can rebuild the grow tent in the coming weeks to make a more permanent structure once again with better lighting
✌️
After a blip in early growing this girl seems to be progressing well.
Shes on a course of Delta 9 so hopefully she will have a nice burst sometime soon.
If I'm honest I can see spectacular things coming from this girl but I always have hope anyway
She has been having her Delta medication which I'm hoping would help her produce just little bit more
I'm still unsure however feel about the strain. With initial issues that seem global not just my crappy growing.
She's perking up and enjoying the delta nine although the last time I grew the strain she had absolutely amazing buds so I'm still hopeful as always
This grow has been such a roller coaster ride I'm unsure what going on anymore?
Which pretty much makes it standard grow for me.
I can see good things coming from the double bud babe
after a very strange start this girl is finally budding well and shouldn't be far-off to harvest.
I missed out on big buds last time with this girl as she got but rot in the last grow
I am struggling to find time to update the diaries with the whole covid and kids going back to school stuff
She took a funny turn early in the grow which I put down to my own mistakes although a few weeks after I stumbled across a few other plants from other growers of the same strain that had the same problem so I'm currently unsure
I will update once she's dry
@codebase, Ha Ha.
Now as I think about it, some 60% of my grows have had some sort of mutation one way or the other....
It's the normal ones that are the problem 😅
