Jax22p 1st week of veg proved a challenge. With very limited experience I am learning a lot. Lesson 1 this week - seedlings need to be much closer to your light or they get leggy. I also learnt you can repot a stretched seedling and they respond well - just keep the buried stem dry and minimize the chance of rot by watering from the bottom. All are showing true leaves and have grown a second set - I think they are happy. They also went through/are going through a hardening off phase as I started these indoors and intend to finish them outdoors. Currently they are under lights from 4am - 7am when they are taken outside for an increasing amount of direct sun per day (increasing this by an hour per day). They are brought in at 6pm and are under lights until 10pm. I will continue this cycle until they are done with veg - they will be flowered outdoors completely. Looking forward to the 2nd week of veg - hopefully no issues and happy healthy growth

Jax22p An uneventful week. Weather was terrible so slowed the hardening off process - i am to have the seedlings outdoors from 6am - 6pm to maximise the summer sun and use the grow light to supplement light and hopefully increase growth. Expecting some quicker growth in the next 2 weeks as they move into Veg

Jax22p Things are plodding along nicely. Nothing crazy growth wise but soil does seem to be a slow and steady medium.

Jax22p Rooibaard/Swazi Red is filling in nicely. Tahoe Haze and Durban Poison are looking like they are struggling. Fed them a half strength grow solution to help them along

Jax22p Let the experimenting begin... (Thanks to some great Xmas gifts) Half the plants will be going into my grow tent to remain on a 16/8 light schedule. The other half remain outside to see how they grow in the warm summer months. Will they stay in flower because they still get more then 12 hours of light, or will the decrease in light - even though it is a small change - throw them into flower Outside - 2 Tahoe Haze, 1 Rooibard, 1 Durban Poison Inside - 2 Tahoe Haze, 1 Rooibard, 1 Durban Poison

Jax22p The experiment continues. One of the outdoor plants went into flower - the rooibaard. Its a boy. So it was pulled. The Durban Poison Outdoor is very small and struggling, the Durban Poison Indoor is also small but is doing better. All the indoors have acclimatized nicely and are starting to show growth. Outdoors are getting a high volume of rain - very glad they are in a grow bag to help keep the soil oxygenated.
