CapybaraProbioticTeam For germination, I first use a glass of water (chlorine-free water) at 26ºC for 6 hours. Then, I place the seed between two paper towels (moistened with chlorine-free water) where I let it germinate at 26-28ºC. The whole process is in complete darkness. As soon as I see the root, like in photo #1, I place it in aerated soil.
This particular seed took about 32 hours to break the "shell" and show the root, and then less than a day to emerge from the soil. It came out without the seed coat, so it opened the cotyledons very quickly.
The growth of this strain will go together with two other strains, which I will follow in another diary.
For the substrate in this first "seedling" stage, I use a very light substrate with coconut fiber and perlite, among other things. It's an organically enriched soil, with an extra supplement of worm humus and guano (very small amount).

As I mentioned in "germination," it's in a very light substrate, ideal for the roots to expand easily. For this first week, I did an initial watering with Bioroots + lentil SST. The rest of the waterings were with chlorine-free water.
The plant stretched a bit since the first 3 days were cloudy :(. I might transplant it to a 0.5L pot to bury the stem a bit, so it doesn't risk bending in the wind.
This is an OUTDOOR grow, 100% organic culture and KNF techniques. 💪
I start in small pots because I think it's better to keep the seedlings well controlled for the first 2 weeks. Then in week 3, I move to a pot with living soil of the final volume.

This week I found myself having to transplant the plant, as it stretched more than usual in the first week, and since this is an outdoor grow, I think it's important for the plants to have a sturdy stem, so I transplanted to 0.5L and buried part of the stem to make it more stable. It wasn't a planned transplant.
The watering is based on the nutrients I mentioned; I make the FPJ with green and tender pumpkin sprouts. I do micro-waterings every day with chlorine-free water, and every three days I water with the nutrients. This week I added mycorrhizae.
The plant looks healthy, although I think it could be sturdier by now.

This was a good week since the temperatures weren't very high, which is rare. The plant is getting 11 hours of direct sunlight, although during the hottest times, I usually put it under a shade net and do foliar watering to lower the temperature a bit. While it doesn't show signs of heat stress, I do it to prevent one.
Regarding watering this week, I didn't add bioroots but started adding WS-Ca. Every day I do micro-waterings with about 80ml, as follows:
-Day 15: watering with nutrients (specified above)
-Day 16: watering with chlorine-free water
-Day 17: chlorine-free water.
-Day 18: nutrients.
-Day 19: chlorine-free water.
-Day 20: chlorine-free water.
-Day 21: nutrients.
That is, leaving two days in between without nutrients. In general, I do the waterings with a smaller volume, about 40-50ml, which is 10% of the pot volume.
All the photos are from the last day of the week, day 21 (28/11/2020). In the last photo, there are two other plants from another diary that I have active at the moment.

This week I transplanted (finally!) on the last day of the week (05/12/2020) into a 50L geotextile pot. I set up the previous volume, since even though I moved to the big pot, the plant was in the 0.5L one all week. The pot has handmade living soil, quite new since I prepared it during the winter. On top, white clovers, daisies, basil, rosemary, and a plant with orange flowers that works against certain pathogenic soil nematodes are growing.
The substrate is made up of living soil based on 50% coco fiber (well-aerated), perlite, and organic soil. It contains, among other things: blood meal, bone meal, meat meal, Epsom salts, dolomite, alfalfa, compost, worms, guano, worm humus, etc.
Immediately before transplanting, I sprinkled the hole with mycorrhizal spores (the white stuff you see in the photos). It's important to note that mycorrhizae are sensitive to UV light, so it shouldn't be done in direct sunlight and you should try to be quick.
The watering during the week was identical to last week, except that after transplanting, I did a watering rich in SST of lentils, FPJ of sprouts, and bioroots to stimulate the roots.
All the photos are from the day of transplanting, day 28 of the plant. Unfortunately, I couldn't take the photos with my camera, and they were taken with a cellphone, so the image quality isn't the same as usual.

This was the fifth week, which ended on 12/12/2020. The photos correspond to the first days of the week and the harvest day, day 30. The point at which I do the main-lining is when the plant has 5-6 nodes, and I cut above the third. The plant adapted well to the pot, and I kept the watering intermittent with nutrients and chlorine-free water.
I am surprised by the indica phenotype of the leaves, as this strain is 70% sativa, 30% indica, so I can't wait to see how the buds develop and the effect.

First of all, I wanted to apologize for not being able to continue the weeks of vegetation as I should have, but due to personal issues, it became impossible for me.
The photos correspond to the last day of week 13 of the plant, on 6/02/2021. During this entire vegetative growth period, I performed mainlining, as I showed in the week 5 upload, and then I let the two branches develop until they had 5 nodes each and performed an apical cut, or topping, at both ends. Then, using LST techniques, I twisted the branches so they would grow more or less evenly, but being an outdoor crop, this obviously doesn’t happen as neatly as in an indoor setup. Beyond that, I'm happy with the result: 10 main branches and many small ones in the vegetation. I’ve been doing gentle defoliations, and now it’s time for the last one before it starts to flower. Regarding this, the plant sexed at the end of January, but it’s only now starting to show signs that it’s about to begin flowering, so next week will be the first week of bloom. This, although it may seem strange, is quite common at least in this region; many times plants sex before and don’t show signs of starting to flower until a few weeks later, nothing like when you control the photoperiod.
Fortunately, the season has been drier than usual, and with little rain, so I had problems with thrips for a few days. Generally, when we have rainy summers, it becomes very complicated to deal with pests. In particular, in my yard, I usually have problems with thrips, but not with other pests since the companion plants are enough to scare them away.
In the photos, you’ll notice that the main trunk is split in two; this happened when a significant weight fell on it 4 weeks ago, but with some quick ties and the right nutrition, the plant healed 100%.

This was the first week of flowering, based on the changes I've seen in the plant. As I explained in week 13, in outdoor growing it's not always clear when the plants start to flower, since they often show those beautiful white pistils (sexing) but don't begin the strict flowering process that you see indoors when you suddenly change the photoperiod from 18/6 to 12/12. This would be considered the first week since, as seen in some photos, the nodes started to cluster and take shape to form buds.
Regarding watering, I'm adding few inputs so the soil can do its thing... In a few weeks, I'll gradually start with guano tea and compost, as well as other probiotic inputs for flowering. Since it's getting warm, I usually water every day with chlorine-free water plus inputs or just water.

Well, this was the second week of flowering. The buds are slowly starting to take shape and are beginning to form. I noticed a significant advancement in them compared to the previous week, and I'm also surprised that they keep stretching so much, as they grew 9cm this week.
Regarding watering, this week I did two applications of chlorine-free water + avenal meal + AEM1, and for the rest of the days, I used chlorine-free water. It's been pretty hot these days, so I water in the afternoon every day and wet the geotextile pot from the outside to keep the substrate and roots cooler.
I took the photos on the last day of the week, Saturday 20/02/2021, in the afternoon with the last ray of sunlight. I also took photos after doing a foliar spray with neem oil to prevent thrips and refresh the plant.

CapybaraProbioticTeam This was the third week of flowering. I've been really busy, so I've fallen behind on posting content these weeks.
The plant is putting out white pistils and slowly forming the buds. I watered it with Alfalfa meal that I prepared with a recipe. My idea is to gradually change the amount of guano in the recipe, so it increases as flowering progresses (guano is rich in P).
I did three waterings this week with alfalfa meal, and the rest with chlorine-free water.

This was the fifth week of flowering. The buds are progressing well, and they are already starting to form trichomes. The plant looks good, robust, and its branches are strong, but soon I will have to place stakes to support the buds. This is the last week of heat in this area, as storms are forecasted for next week and the weather is expected to change and cool down, which will benefit the flowering.
Regarding watering, I prepared Alfalfa (and guano) meal for the plants. I promise to upload the recipe next week. I'm watering with this solution 3 times a week, and on the other days with chlorine-free water.

This was the 6th week of flowering. The buds keep fattening up and forming more pistils. For next week, I need to look for stakes to support the branches, as they are starting to bend. To give you an idea of the size they are reaching, in the last photo, there's a bud from the lower branches, meaning one of the smaller ones, next to my thumb. The bud is bigger. For next week, I will try to prepare photos with a ruler to better size the dimensions.
Regarding watering, I applied my homemade alfalfa+compost+guano tea solution three times this week. I prepare it by fermenting approximately:
-1 cup of alfalfa
-1/2 cup of compost
-1/2 cup of guano
-1 teaspoon of azomite.
-4 tablespoons of organic molasses.
-5 liters of chlorine-free water.
The alfalfa, guano, and compost are placed inside a "filter" that I made with an old cloth, within the solution. The azomite and molasses are mixed with the water. I ferment all of this for 48 hours with aeration and agitation. I use an aquarium aerator. Then I use a 1/3 dilution of this solution (that's why I put 333ml/L in "nutrients").
**You might have been reading for a few weeks that I only water with this tea, but what I vary is the concentration of guano that I add. As the flowering progresses, I increase the amount of guano I add, since it is the main source of P.

This was the 7th week of flowering! We're getting closer to the end.
Luckily, the temperatures dropped, but thanks to some storms, the humidity was a bit higher than ideal. As you can see, the buds don't have support sticks to hold them up, but I used another system: The pink strings you see are tying the branches together inside the plant, using opposing branches as support. I used this system because I didn't want to alter the shape of the colas, and because the branch structure is very strong. I know it's not very clear, but next week I'll take a photo where you can see it.
Regarding watering, I'm still using guano and alfalfa tea but increasing the concentration of guano. Three times a week, on the other days I moisten the substrate with chlorine-free water.

This was the 8th week of flowering. The plant quickly formed many more trichomes than it had last week. In fact, I was worried that it had so many pistils and so few trichomes, but they developed very quickly this week.
As we are getting closer to the harvest, I am only watering with water, even though it's not necessary with 100% organic crops, I like to lighten the load on the soil a bit to further enhance the flavors that organic growing provides.
The photos correspond to the last day of the week, Saturday 03/04/2021. I wasn't very inspired, so the photos are boring. There are photos where the plant is in another spot, as I moved it under a roof because there's rain forecasted for those days, and it's important during these critical weeks that they aren't caught in a storm.

Esta es la segunda strain review que escribo en esta web, espero que les guste.
Para empezar, el crecimiento y desarrollo de la planta en vegetación me impresiono. Crece de manera muy robusta y fuerte. Las hojas son grandes con color verde oscuro, y su apariencia es totalmente indica pero parecería que la velocidad y altura de crecimiento son sativas. En este aspecto la strain es perfecta, sobre todo para outdoor. El crecimiento en floración no se queda atrás, las colas crecen muy grandes y robustas, albergando unos cogollos muy pesados. En este momento la planta comienza a ser mas susceptible a plagas y a hongos.
Siguiendo con los cogollos, el aroma que despiden es a limón e incienso, mientras que el olor de la ceniza y el humo es ligeramente mas dulce. El sabor es mas terroso-inciensado-picante. Si bien su fenotipo es mayormente indico, al fumar esta strain se siente mayormente sativa. Su efecto es explosivo. Sube muy rápido y te llena de energía, pero sin irse a lo psicodélico. Es una strain ideal tanto para el día como para la noche si se quiere tener la cabeza despejada para realizar alguna actividad, hasta incluso para hacer actividad física, ya que el cuerpo se siente muy liviano. Se siente muy bien y muy ligera. No deja nada de "resaca", ni la cabeza ni el cuerpo pesado.
La verdad, la strain me gusto mucho. La recomiendo, sobre todo para outdoor, ya que se banco todas las condiciones climáticas sin mostrar signos de estrés o sufrimiento. En mi opinión personal, creo que le haría falta un efecto mas potente para estar equiparado con lo fuerte que es la planta en si misma, pero la realidad es que el efecto esta muy bien balanceado: la energía y el clear-headed típico de su padre Jack Herer junto con la sensación del cuerpo liviano de una indica hacen que se sienta muy muy bien.
Este fue un cultivo 100% orgánico y probiótico, y esta strain creció muy a gusto en este tipo de suelo.

CapybaraProbioticTeam Talking more about the cultivation itself, I harvested on day 64 of flowering, that is, 9 full weeks. I got 307g of big, beautiful buds, and another 120g of popcorns and fine trimming that will be used for extractions. So the final total weight is about 416g.
For drying, I put the buds to dry after a light defoliation (only large satellite leaves), in a ventilated, dark space, at an approximate temperature of 20ºC and 55% humidity. It took 10 days to dry completely. While in my opinion the optimal conditions are 60% humidity / 15ºC, the buds wouldn't fit in the space I have prepared to maintain those conditions.
For curing, after trimming the buds, they were transferred to large jars with thermo-hygrometers inside. They were opened initially 3 times a day, and as the humidity decreased, they were opened less frequently, until reaching the desired humidity, which in my taste is 62% humidity. The jars are always rotated so that the buds roll and take shape.
