Week 1 Veg MIMOSA EVO by Barney's Farm! Really pumped to be trying out these genetics from the BF Cali collection. Will be growing in coco/perlite and hand-feeding the CANNA line, as with all of my other grows. Plan on topping her and using some LST to open up the canopy. Follow for more updates!

Week 2 Veg Showing two sets of true leaves, I'm quite happy with the somewhat short internodal distance on this plant. Given her Sativa-leaning genetics, I would have expected her to be stretching more than the Green Gelato and GLOOKIES also in the tent. Going well!

Week 3 Veg Steady growth - coming along nicely. Looking to transplant her soon, can see too many roots poking out the bottom.

Week 4 Veg Getting slightly yellow, I think this might be a pH issue. I've flushed the root system and hopefully, this offers some form of improvement.

Week 6 Veg Might have gotten a little carried away with the defoliation and supercropping. Doesn't seem to have hurt them though.

Week 1 Flower Just flipped to 12/12. I know there's somewhat of a debate around when the flower period actually starts and we all have our own variants but I always do it from the day I flip to 12/12. This tends to add about 7-10 days onto the breeder's timelines but has generally worked quite well for me (with respect to keeping track of when to harvest). I'll continue doing it this way. Week 1 Flower for MIMOSA EVO.

Does anyone put expanded clay on top of coco/perlite pots? Wonder if this would help reduce the levels of algae and maybe even be beneficial in other ways?

the clay will cover your top layer of medium and water will need a lot longer to get absorbed. I dont think it is practical to use with cannabis especially if you plan on flushing the plant (or if you are not planning but have to)

Hi, I see folks at the grow shop do this all the time. It’s for ipm, water absorption (they water a lot less there) and algae—- you can do it if any of the above are issues! ✌️🏻💚🌿

Not sure if a layer at the top will do much for you. Might have some benefit for algae reduction. It definitely shouldn't hurt though, so there's no harm in trying. People have started mixing clay pebbles directly into their coco and soil as a way to keep roots oxygenated. I realize your already into flower, but perhaps for your next grow.
