Hey guys and gals! Here's my new babies. This is my first time trying to grow anything, other than some cat grass lol. I recently decided I could fit a 2x4 tent in my home when a friend let me sample some of his homegrown. I was told it was Compound Genetics waffle cone (a cross of dosilato x jet fuel gelato). This shit was so frosty, fruity, gassy and strong af. When he told me he was going to have some clones, I had to give it a try. So, as I said, I've got a 2x4x6 mars hydro tent. I'm using a 320w ecofarm led (https://www.growpackage.com/collections/eco-farm-best-sellers/products/eco-farm-120w-240w-320w-480w-600w-quantum-board-led-grow-light). My medium is coast of Maine's stonington mix. This is supposed to be water only soil, so I'm not using any nutes yet. Later I plan to use some fish bone meal, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, coast of Maine's lobster compost, worm compost, recharge (need to order still) and extreme gardening mykos (added to root ball and transplant hole before transplant). This grow just started 2 days ago for me. My friend's clones got too big for his cloner so he moved them to 2 gallon pots (filled about half way with 70/30 coco and perlite mix). He uses fox farm synthetic nute as well. I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to transplant them to my soil without having some kind of bad reaction, but I already had all my soil so I said fuck it and gave it a try. The coco was dry and I could tell the plants were thirsty. Instead of watering them in the coco, I was able to clean most of the coco off of the root ball (I did this very gently but I know this was dangerous too). Once the root balls were out, I sprinkled about a scoop of mykos on the root ball and the hole it was going into. The bigger plant had a much longer root ball and seemed to stand up strong once in soil. The shorter plant has a much shorter root ball (still nice and fat tho) and didnt want to stand up yet. Maybe I should have put it deeper in the soil but I didnt want to go too deep. Either way it basically turned into some LST. The stalk is horizontal and the rest is growing up (or trying to at least). The larger plant got some LST last night as well. I gave the stalk a little pinch and bend. There was not snap but I was able to bend it over and hold it down with a bread tie. When I woke up today they look ok, or at least not any worse than they were yesterday. I think the plants look a little droopy. The main stalk is nice and hard but the side branching and leaves aren't really standing up yet. My guess is this is due to a bunch of stuff. First, I was given the plants after they had been in a car trunk in freezing cold for about 2 hrs. Then, as I said, they were definitely thirsty when I got them and i transplanted them into 3 gallon pots, moving from coco with synthetic nutes to organic soil. And, on top of all that, I've been struggling with my humidity levels. I'm picking up a humidifier today but yesterday we had a heavy snow store so I wasn't able to go out. In an attempt to keep RH high enough I've put my 20 gallon pots in the tent and I'm keeping some damp towels and bowls of water in the room. This has been keeping my RH at around 50% but every 4-5 hours the towels need to be redampened or RH goes down to around 30-32%. I only have my exhaust fan on low with another small fan inside for circulation. Temps have been good. Mostly staying around 73-78f. I've been keeping lights on for 24hrs since that what my friend did, but I'll be changing that to 18/6 gradually before I flip to 12/12. I need to top the big plant soon because it's getting too tall imo. I'm gonna wait a day or 2 to see how they look tho. By then the small plant will be ready to top as well I think. Since I only have the 2 plants and plan to flower them in 15+ gallons of soil, I want to do a bit of training before flipping to flower. I plan to put 2 scrog nets up later too. That's pretty much everything I can think of for now. I've done a ton if reading and watching, but I'm still very new to growing plant life. This is mostly for my own entertainment, but feel free to comment or question on anything. I would appreciate any advice other may have. In the end, I hope I can make my dream of big, dank buds come true, but I'll be happy as long as I dont kill them.

The girls are looking pretty good after my first week growing. I'm playing with the light dimmer trying to find a sweet spot. I think my light is kinda strong for veg so I have the light about 30" away and I'm running them dimmed about half way now. It's hard to figure out how much I'm actually dimming the light tho. My dimmer is just a knob with no gauge of any kind. I've been playing it by eye and it seems like the temp is a good way to gauge how bright my light is. I turned the dimmer all the way down (light is still on about 25ish% maybe) and the temp drops below 68f within an hour or so. If I turn the light up to what I'm estimating is 90% the temp raises to above 82f within an hour or so. I've been trying to keep the temp around 72-75f, while keeping RH @50-60%. My humidity was dropping to 45-50% overnight, but I added a bunch of water to the 20 gallon pots I keep in my tent 2 days ago and ever since the humidity has been very steady. Basically if I turn the humidifier up, RH goes up quick. And, vise versa. The first few days I needed to keep wet towels and water bowls in the tent just to keep RH above 50% for a few hours. I would hit my tent walls with a mist from my spray bottle a couple times a day too. This would get RH to 60-65% for an hour or so. In my head this simulates morning dew or something like that (even if I'm still at 24hr light lol). Earlier this week I supercropped the big girl at the base. With only 2 plants I. Guessing my main issue will be height in the end. I want to get both plants nice and bushy, which will take some time. And, longer veg = taller plant usually I think. Ideally I have 3-3.5' max for plant growth. I would like to go into flowering as short as possible, so I'm going to try to keep both plants about 3" from the soil as long as possible. I'll keep adding and removing ties and clips to keep her trained as much as I can. Today was my big day for LST and supercropping. The smaller plant is growing fairly straight and uniform so all I did was give her main stem some bending at the base, just after the 1st node. She was sturdy, but thin so it was pretty easy to pinch and bend. She even gave a nice snap sound (the outer stem was not damaged tho). After this, all I had to do was tie a few stems 1 way and a few to the opposite. The big girl got a bit more work done. Since she is like 2-2.5x bigger than the other plant, I really had to bend her in order to keep the canopy top even. The nodes on the bigger plant are growing at uneven levels too. This makes it kinda weird when I was thinking about how to spread her bud outs. So for the big girl I cropped 4 different spots on the main stalk. 1 was done earlier in the week (like i mentioned before) and 3 were done today. Below the first node i was able to bend and twist a little. Right above the first node I bent her 90 degrees. Then did the same 2 more times going up. I'm trying to get her to grow in a circle. Not sure if that's a good idea but fuck it, itll look pretty if it works. You can see some of the bends in the pics. After supercropping, the big girl got a bit of LST too. I tried my best to pull stems evenly to both sides of the main stalk. Like it said, shes growing non-uniformly and it's just kinda weird to a first timer I think. It's interesting how both plants are cloned from the same mother but the smaller plant is growing in almost a perfectly uniform fashion, while the other has stems growing out from all 4 sides of the main stem (nodes are uneven too). Also, I put some cocoa shell mulch on top of both pots earlier this week. I gave both a good watering and have just been misting the mulch a couple times a day the past 2 days. The soil was still moist today but I might need to add some water tomorrow or the next day. I'm hoping to build a compost tea system soon. I'll be adding that once a week asap. I think we still have a couple weeks left in veg so I'll think about transplanting into my 20 gallon pots in 2-3 weeks. Until then I'm top dressing with 1 scoop Mykos 1x per week and watering heavily afterwards. Ever day or 2 I add more water too. Really whenever I have extra dechlorinted laying around I throw it in the 20 gallon pots. I plan to top dress with some lobster compost and fish bone meal about a week before I transplant. Idk if this is a good idea, but it makes sense in my head since they're slow release nutrients. This will allow the soil some time to do its thing. So, there we have it. We survived week 1!

This was a busy week for me, with holidays and all that. I didnt get a chance to update things here, but I've still been keeping up with my new garden. So this week my boy who gave me the clones came over. We figured since he was here we might as well do some pruning and topping. He plucked off a bunch of fan leaves from both plants. I didnt want to top the smaller plant since shes already a bit shorter than the other one. And her nodes are so close towards the top of the plant that it's tough to even get a hold on the stem between nodes. Since the bigger plant is still 6+ inches taller after all the supercropping, I've been wanting to top her. I was having trouble figuring out where to top her. Apparently this can be harder with clones. My boy plucked the 1st top for me and I think I learned enough to top her again in 2 weeks. I also learned that the plants aren't actually the same. 1 is waffle cone. The other was a different strain but my boy couldn't remember the name. I should text him now that I'm thinking about it but I knew they had to be different. They just seemed to be growing so differently. I guess I dont really care what stain they are tbh. Growing has been a great time investment for me so far. I've learned a ton of shit and I get that excited feeling every time I open my tent. In that end I'm gonna smoke or eat them no matter what she looks/smells/tastes like lol

This week is didn't do much in the way of training or pruning, but I did transplant my girls into 20 gallon pots. This will be their final home until harvest. Before transplanting I threw in some kelp meal, fish bone meal and mykos. I'll be top dressing with the same and some lobster compost once I flip to flower too. Once the plants were in the 20 gallon pots I tied a couple pieces of jute twine across the pots to help train the plants. Once I flip to flower I'll throw in a real scrog net, but this has been working well with the short plants. I plucked a few leaves a few days after transplanting but only the brown ones and the few that were so low that they weren't getting light. Most were able to be tucked in the twine but if it couldnt, I cut it. I've been doing a foliar spray every morning with blended up rehydrated kelp meal, eggshell concentrate water and molasses. This shit smells pretty bad but my plants seem to enjoy it. I've also started to collect eggs shells when I use them. I rinse them of egg, strain them and let them dry for 2-3 days, then I crumble then up real small and too dress them into my soil. I might start tossing some other dry scraps on top once I learn more about what I can and cant use. This week I put a tower fan in my tent. This thing is pretty strong so its improved circulation around the plant level alot. I have it shooting at the long wall and I can actually feel it on the opposite corner, which I didnt with my other desk fan. With the tower fan I was able to put the desk fan at light level so it can move that stagnant, hot air around the lights. It's been warm the past week or so and I was having problems keeping temps under 82-83f. Thia brought my RH to around 45% from around 55%. Now with the 2nd fan its staying under 80f and RH is back in the 50+% range. I would still like to get my RH to around 60% but I'm happy with the way things are going. I should be set up to have a good flowering environment. Hopefully by next grow I can get a smaller veg tent set up so it will be easier to keep RH higher. I have a little 120 watt LED in the box waiting to build that veg tent lol. I figure I'm not flipping these girls to flower for another 2-3 weeks so I've still got some time. If I can get this going by then I should be able to get this perpetual grow started...even if it is only 2-4 plants at a time lol. I'm thinking SOG autos or maybe just a fresh run from seed for my 2nd grow. All the choices make me wish I had more space. I'm really interested in trying a little breeding at some point. Maybe if I get some good yields I'll have more than i can smoke in a year or 2. Then I can dedicate my tent to growing some males so I can do some pollen collecting.

So this week I went hard on supercropping. I pretty much went through both plants and made the all the stalks with bud sites soft and bendable. I didnt actually train many to go anywhere, just softened them in hope that when they heal theyll be stronger and able to hold more weight later on. They seemed to all harden up after 3-4 days. After that I bent the ones that needed training again and tied a few branches. After the first round on bending (on friday I think) I gave them both about 3/4 gallon water with kelp meal and molasses. I also top dressed with about a scoop of mykos in each pot. If it makes a difference I did my bending about 10-15 mins after giving a foliar spray. Seems to soften them up a little imo. Since then I've just been tucking leaves and arranging bud sites so they all can get good light. Nothing special with nutes. Just foliar spray every day as close to lights on as I can. I'm going to be increasing the water as I get closer to flower. Idk if it matters, but I like the idea of tapering my water up until stretch rather than just increasing all at once. I'm pretty sure my soil is staying damp for a long time in these 20 gallon pots. I've yet to feel it go dry to finger depth. The only thing that's been drying out at all is the outside and way on the bottom. Hard to tell in these big ass pots but I'm watering lightly so far. By stretch I'm thinking I'll be up to watering 1.5-2 gallons per week for each pot. Right now I'm closer to 3/4-1 gallon per week. I'm thinking the bigger plant is getting close to ready to flip. It's hard to measure but it's around 16-18". The smaller plant just isnt quite there tho. It's only about 10" so far. When I count the potential bud sites the bigger has close to 30, while the smaller girl has closer to 20. Shes got some nice bush growing, but just isnt stretching much. Maybe she got stunted or her genetics lean more toward an indica plant. My goal is to fill up this 2x4x6 tent with these 2 so I'm still planning to let my smaller gal grow a little more until flip. The way I've trained these plants will be good to lollipop like 2 weeks into flower (I think at least). My plants are still pretty much horizontal with the soil. Once I flip I'm assuming the bud site will grow upwards from there. When I flip I'll throw the scrog in too and keep spreading those buds as much as I can. I've also been able to control my environment pretty well now. When it warmed up I had to start adding wet rags and such and it seems to be keeping temp just under 80f and the humidity just above 50% (goes higher in the am when I spray for about an hour). I also put my standing fan on oscillate now. I'm thinking the plants have been in these pots long enough that the roots are solid. So the little bit of direct air flow should strengthen the branches (I think...I hope lol). Oh and I tossed a small amount of cat grass (oat grass) seeds in my pots. I was going to add a cover crop after this first harvest but my kitties love when i cut a chunk of grass and let them play in it. I didnt add close to enough to cover the whole pot but I'll see what happens. I'm still looking to add some more amendments to my plants but I want to start adding them slowing and spaced out so I can notice if they do anything good or bad. Aloe, silica and coconut are a few of the things I'm looking into. Theres a few other nutrient type amendments I'd like to try but we'll see what happens.

Another week in the books! I'm thinking I'll finally flip these gals next weekend or the following. I just want a little more length on the small plant. So, earlier on Wednesday I gave the gals a nice trim. I cut off all the bigger fan leaves and the smaller stuff that was on the bottom, that wasnt getting much light. The next morning I gave the girls a light watering. It had only been 3 days since last watering so the soil wasnt dry but I wanted to hit them with some kelp/molasses water to try to park then back up. They really responded well. Within a few days they were bushy and full of leaves again. Today (5 days after previous defoliation) I decided to give the girls another heavy supercropping. I worked all the branches until they were soft and flexible. This was a good way for me to see how much the plants had grown since last supercropping. The branches that I supercropped last week were now had and stiff so I only worked with the new growth. I can see how supercropping will be helpful later in flower with the branches grow buds and become heavier. Places that aren't supercropped will be saggy, while the supercropped branches will be tough like a tree. It may extend veg a little bit but I'll definitely be doing this again in future grows. Next time I'll be more cautious with the stiff branches tho. I broke a few off this time in accident. In the end 1 spot looks like it will split into 2 tops and the other spots were just small branches coming off other branches, not the main stalk. I plan to lollipop these girls about 2 weeks into flower so I would prolly remove them anyways. The pics from this week are after supercropping and defoliating today. They were much bushier before. I'm planning to leave them alone this week as much as possible, maybe some light LST as bud sites grow upwards. I'll do 1 more defoliation a few days before flipping to flower and see how that goes. A couple days ago I also changed my tower fan with a new box fan. The tower fan had a bright blue light in it so it was gonna fuck with my 12/12 I think. I think I had the fan too low for the 1st day and now it looks like some of the new growth got a little "wind burn." Nothing crazy but since then I raised the fan above the canopy and it seems to be working better. I thought the fan was weak enough to give them a direct breeze but the plant that was closer to the fan didnt seem to like it. Even with the fan above the canopy the leaves are still moving a little when I close the tent. This following week I'm planning to give the girls their first compost tea too. I'm currently growing some mold in a container with compost in it. According to teaming with microbes this makes "fungal dominant" compost which is good for bloom. Basically its damp compost with some oat flour (chopped oats) kelp meal and mykos. I'll let's that sits in a drawer in my room for 3-4 days. At that point there should be some white mold growing on top of the compost. This is the good shit I guess. I've also collected some egg shells, banana peels, coffee grounds, potato peels, coffee soaked paper tower (no ink on them) and weed leaves. I put 3 banana peels in quart size Mason jars and poured boiling water to fill the jars. That's been sitting for a couple days and I'll be using the water to make compost tea once my fungal compost is done. The rest of the food scraps were cooked in the oven for a few hours until the coffee and banana peels with dry. Then I put all that into my food processor and mixed in some mykos, kelp meal and fish bone meal to make it into a powdery meal. I'm planning to top dress with this before watering with my tea. This should be a make for a big meal that will help set the girls up for a good stretch once I flip to 12/12.

Another week in the books. It's looking like the gals will be ready to start flowering sometime this next week. I think I'm just going to be waiting until next watering so I can hit them with 1 more compost tea. This week the girls got their first dose of compost tea. My tea was made with with about a quart of banana peel water, a quart of water left over from soaking pinto beans and about a gallon of dechlorinated water. Added to that was some fungal dominate compost (compost with oatmeal powder sprinkled on top and sat for a 4 days in warm, dark spot) and molasses. I've also continued to train the girls similar to past weeks. Defoliation and supercropping have been my main go-to's. At this point I have been defoliating daily. I'll go in and pluck leaves that just aren't going to get enough light. Every 3 days or so I remove most of the big fan leaves as well. At least 1-2x a week I go in and supercrop the branches that start growing vertically. Up until now I've been trying to force the plants to grow horizontally. My plan is to keep them from growing upward until I'm ready to flip to 12/12. I'm hoping this will help later when the girls stretch and height becomes my limiting factor. I haven't really done much different this week other than adding the tea. I plan to put together a worm bin this week too. I tried to find some worm casting but had no luck anywhere close to home. So, this grow will be without castings, but next grow I should have some nice castings before harvest time. Ive also been started making some KNF inputs. Those should start being ready to use next week or the following as well. I'll be throwing some banana FFJ and eggshell WCA into the mix. I'm making some LAB as well, and will prolly be adding that into compost teas or maybe even hit my girls with 1 LAB foliar spray. I'm hoping to make some OHN and IMO but those are a little more difficult to find the ingredients where I live. There really isnt any indigenous micro organisms to be collected in a big city. If I get a chance to go somewhere with some forest I'll be collecting some stuff for imo and FFP.

I'm late on the update, but you didn't miss much. In their last week of veg I pretty much left the gals alone. I tucked leaves and tied down a few branches, but no high stress. I figured they should go into flower nice and happy. I fed the gals another fungal dominate compost tea at the end of the week. They were pretty dry and seemed to be happy af after watering. I've been using the finger check and a moisture meter to figure out how dry the soil gets. I cant really do the pickup method with 20 gallon pots in this little 2x4 tent lol. Other than that I just did alot of staring at the plants this week

It was the 1st week of flower. I didn't do much to the girls this week. A little LST. The girls are due for another compost tea in 2-3 days as well. For now, I'm just going to put a scrog on and let the girl get a little taller. Once they grow a foot or 2 I'll start lollipopping and defoliation again. Not sure how fast or how much the girls will stretch but I'm excited to see what happens in the upcoming weeks!

Another week down and the girls are looking good. This is the 2nd week of 12/12 so the girls are showing some nice bud formation now. Not really sure how long this usually takes bud it seemed like the 1st week was kind of a transition week and flower really started this week. Again, I didnt do much to the gals. I did chop off most of the lower sites that I feel would grow into larf. At this point I'm getting the girls ti spread into the scrog net nicely. Maybe 1 more week and It'll be filled out enough to let the girls grow 100% vertical. At that point I'll prolly lollipop and defoliate as much as I can. I dont think the girls are going to grow super tall so idk how much lollipopping I'll be able to do. Either way, the canopy is full of leaves now (especially on the waffle cone), so I'll be pulling off lots of leaves next week. This week is did get my hands on a few more knf inputs to feed my plants with. At this point I have pretty much everything I need except imo, which is tough to make where I live. At this point I'm feeding the girls based on the feed charts from master cho's principles. I'm using ohn, acv, seawater, wca, wcap, wsk, ffj, kelp meal, fish bone meal, bolaski and compost teas. Tea's are used in place of water every 10 days or so and the rest of the liquid inputs are used every time I water (about every 3 days). Ther dry stuff is top dressed 1x per month. So far the plants seem to be loving everything. I also switched out my fan and humidifier this week. Instead of the box fan I'll be using a 12" hurricane oscillating wall fan. And, instead of the 1/2 gallon humidifier, I'll be using a 1 gallon from now on. Depending on the height the girls end up at, I might throw the box fan back into the mix to move air around the lower canopy. At this point the plants are too short so I may not need it this run. Next grows will be more mainlined instead of the horizontal grow style I did this time. Will a new veg tent I'll be able to keep a perpetual harvest going so no reason to veg for 10 weeks from now on lol. Was fun this time around tho

This weed the girls got defoliated and lollipopped. I felt like I may have over done it but things are looking good since then. The waffle cone was really thick with leaves so it really needed it. There wasnt much lollipopping since they didnt grow vertically much. Still took off what I thought wouldnt get to grow. I didnt do much to them other then that. Jsut weaving them into the scrog. The girls got a small watering mid week. Ffj, ohn, wca, wcap wsk and molasses were added to the water. Saturday night the girls got a heavy watering of compost tea. The tea was brewed with fungal dominate compost, ffj and molasses. This was aerated for about 36 hrs. After finishing I added some cat (oat) grass sprouted seed tea, ohn, wca, wsk, wcap and sea water. Mykos was top dress before watering as well. The girls seem very happy still. I'd say 95% of the leaves I trimmed were healthy leaves. I tried to leave at least 2 leaves at each bud site. I don't really know what to expect in terms of yield, but there are so many bud sites growing in. If these things great into any type of size and density it will be a good 4/20 celebration for me! 5-6ish more weeks i think

@GuerrillaNo_4, yeah I was given some oversized clones so I pretty much started training s couple days after I got them home and transplanted them. I figured if I was gonna mess up and break/kill branches I better learn early on so they have time to recover lol. I wasnt sure how well they would respond but it's nice to hear that it should help in the long run.
