@DavidGrow Damn good first grow! In my experience, whole plant drying delivers a more complex flavor than drying individual stems, and certainly single buds plucked off the plant as it appears you’ve done. I hang the entire plant, root and all. It takes longer of course, partly because gravity pulls moisture toward the buds. I too grow in soil so I rinse and dry the roots clean in neutral pH non chlorinated water prior to hanging - don’t want dirt falling onto the flowers.
