1/3/2021-1/5/2021 (germination) - Germinated 2 out of 2 seeds in peat pellets successfully in humidity dome sitting on top of heating mat with controller set to 77F. Temperatures inside sealed dome reached high 80s. Huge mistake starting last grow without the controller, so lesson learned and no poor seeds were fried this time, and at $36.61 for 3 seeds these babies aren't cheap. Sprayed once each day with tap water.

1/10/2020 (V6) - Started nutrient feed on V4 after transplant into solo cups. Low humidity in tent but not too concerned with correcting it. Nutrient dosage will be ramped up slowly to check for ill effects. Current light intensity reads at 10000 lux according to phone app, and this will also be steadily increased. Lights on for 24h until it looks like plants need some rest. Going to continue to use "H3ad's Formula" for coco (6 ml micro / 9 ml bloom per gallon) like previous grows. Worked out well enough before and still have plenty of nutrients left.

1/17/2021 (V13) - Damage on lowest set of leaves on both plants, but new growth looks fine. Could be result of excessive misting with tap water last week or perhaps wind damage from the circulation fan. Decided to flood the bottom tray in the tent with tap water to increase humidity levels from 28% to 51%. Also, changed light cycle from 24/0 to 18/6, increased light intensity from 10000 to 20000 lux, and ramped up to full strength nutrient solution. Transplanting to 1 gallon fabric pots possibly by next week.

1/24/2021 (V20) - Transplanted from solo cups to 1 gallon perlite/coco (30/70) fabric pots on V16. May have been late in transplanting and this could be the source of the leaf damage in the left plant? Could also possibly be calmag deficiency but they've been on calmag for couple weeks now so don't think this is it. Left plant is about an inch taller than right (5" vs 4"), however, right plant appears healthier. Also, substituted Grower's Recharge in place of normal nutes on V18, and increased light intensity to 30000 lux. Thinking about topping both at future 7th node to get 12 main branches but going to wait and see.

2/1/2021 (F3) - Looks like flowering time has arrived unexpectedly early. Going to arbitrarily say veg went on for 25 days total and just call today F3 even though bud growth may seem a tad older. Topped both plants at 7th node 4 days ago and then transplanted from 1 gallon to 3 gallon containers w/ 70% coco and 30% perlite mix. Probably would have topped it earlier knowing now the veg won't go for 30 days, but got greedy and wanted 12 branches per plant. One plant stands at 9.5" with greater internode spacing than the other 7" plant which makes it easier to tie down the branches. For now, just tucking the big fans leaves underneath the bud growth sites on the shorter plant. Substituted Grower's Recharge for regular nutrient schedule today. Wonder how much they'll grow in next few weeks? Breeder's site states most plants will reach 75cm (29.5") so perhaps expect some rapid growth.

2/8/2021 (F10) - Did some light defoliation and LST few days ago and it seems to be shaping up ok, but wonder if the plants will fill out the tent. Mostly removed bottom nodes on each branch and few fan leaves that were blocking the growth sites. Used soft ties and binders for the LST. Taller plant at 14", shorter one is catching up at 12.5". Removed the 2 bottom branches on taller plant bc they looked like useless t-rex arms, so now it'll have 10 main branches compared to the 12-14 on shorty. Light intensity now at 75000 lux. Added Liquid KoolBloom to nutes and no adverse reactions.

2/15/2021 (F17) - Plants didn't get an expected vertical growth spurt and probably around their max height now. Right plant looks few days older than left with longer pistils and has started changing pistil colors as well. Still defoliating a bit here and there to clear some light for the growth sites. Changed light cycle from 18/6 to 20/4 and increased Liquid KoolBloom from 1ml to 2ml/gallon. Light intensity now at 90000 lux.

2/22/2021 (F24) - Not really checking on plants as much as should, so no defoliation or LST adjustments this week. Thought plant on left was just developing more slowly but its pistil length is glaringly different than other plant, and it appears to not be bulking up or changing pistil colors as much. So different phenomes or fucky seed, who knows? Both plants getting smelly and sticky so that's reassuring at least. Light intensity at 90000 lux at top of canopy.

3/1/2021 (F31) - Both plants bulking out a little it seems and still like 3-4 weeks until harvest (think most diaries here had 11 weeks total). Regretting now the lack of scrog netting for support and hope the buds don't start sagging, but if they do, then gonna install those ugly, yellow yoyo hangars and the tent will start looking metal. Also, noticed foxtailing occuring everywhere so wonder how that's going to turn out. Maybe this happens bc of the high light intensity which is now at 100000 lux? Humidity creeping up to 50F during lights on so have to start blasting dehumidifier soon.

3/8/2021 (F38) - Some of the leaves have started to fade and most pistils have changed colors already except for the new growth on the foxtails. Going to have to check the trichomes with microscope soon to gauge time left and make proper switch from liquid koolbloom to dry koolbloom. Hard to believe how big the buds are at this point only after 5+ weeks of flower.

3/15/2021 (F45) - Almost there and they're looking so plump right now. Smell getting stronger from tent but not too pungent like other strains (e.g., cheese and diesel strains), and more like a flowery smell. Switched to dry koolbloom from liquid koolbloom yesterday so nutrient schedule listed above still for before that. Added second fan below canopy instead of using dehumidifer since humidity not too bad now. Hope this right choice. New growth still coming out on the foxtails, old pistils still straight, trichomes cloudy and not amber, and leaves still have some fading to do - so still some time left.

3/23/2021 (F53) - Had to do some late defoliation on the short pistil plant and took out a bunch of dead/dying fan leaves that were brittle and falling apart. The long pistil plant seems to be a bit behind the other one and still has plenty of white pistils. Some amber trichomes appearing in both plants so plan now is to continue nutrient schedule couple more days, then switch to florakleen flush. Probably going to harvest the short pistil one first and the other one few days after. Almost there!

F60 - Change of previous plan. Didn't have any other place to hang and dry one plant while other plant in tent so both got the chop today. Trichomes pics above are from couple days ago (cheap USB microscope sort of broke after that) and it does look like trichomes from both plants are at same level of progression. Contrast this with "top down" picture which shows short pistil plant (left plant) seemingly advanced state with dead, brittle leaves and lack of white pistils. Two biggest buds came from the long pistil plant and measured 264g and 272g, while biggest bud from short pistil plant was 156g. Happily surprised stems didn't show signs of bending under the weight despite lack of supercropping. Harvest guestimate: 10 oz on long pistil plant and 6 oz on short pistil plant??? Really have to work on my growing technique to get even sized buds and use entire tent area with no gaps. Not going to attempt another grow in spring/summer because of bad experience in fighting temperature/humidity and bugs (only had 2 fungus gnats this grow!) so hopefully will come back in fall with some improvements. Used FloraKleen for flushing for past 4 days before chop. Harvest report coming soon. Drying tent now at 71F and 50% humidity.
