This is my 4th grow. 3rd Auto. This is a grow based on the organics in coco. This is inspired by Stealth Grows on YouTube. (of course shout out to Mr. Canuck). Stealth Grows is very helpful and willing to share his info and ratios. There is a lot of hate around this method, but I'm going for it. I am using 3 gallon fabric pots. I mixed 66 % Canna Coco, ~16% Perlite, ~16% of Vermiculite, and a few cups of earth worm castings. This ratio of mediums was made up by me. My idea was that I want the medium to hold water better for the ogranic grow. I guess we will see if this works :). The idea for ogranic Dr Earth (also Down to Earth, or Gaia Green) is to mix the fertilizer into the medium. Then top dress every 3 weeks. I plan on only water with PH water. I also intend to use Recharge 1x or 2x a week. For Dr Earth, I did these ratios: I need to do 2 TBS of Dr Earth per gallon. For my 3 gallon pot, I need 6 TBS total of Dr Earth. For my initial mix I used these per 1 3 gallon pot: 4 TBS of Dr Earth Veg (4-6-3) 2 TBS of Dr Earth Flower (3-9-4) Stealth Grows talked about in his videos that this was used by him and it had enough calcium in in, so trying this way! The seeds were put directly into the medium on Saturday, Jan 2. I watered them with a spray bottle about 2x a day to keep the medium wet. They were covered with a clear cup. One popped by Monday night, by Tuesday morning the other 2 had popped. I left them under the clear cup for 3-4 days as they reached the top, I took the covers off. I ran the light lower, at about 4000 - 5000 Lux at the level. The lights were turned down low, hung about 3 feet up. I was trying to get the plants to stretch just a little bit. In my past grows, I've had very short and bushy plants, hard to train. I know these are stretching a bit, but that is my goal to get a bit more spacing. I'm going to water with PH of 6.5. This is a concern I have, let's see how PH 6.5 works.

Girls are one week old today. They are stretched out a bit. But again, I'm doing this on purpose. No nutes/ferts added this week. That's now how this grow goes. Last week the lights were on 24 hours. This week bumped it to 20/4. Upped the lights to 6k lux at the top of the plants. This might not mean anything to anyone, but it helps me know what i'm at. Lights are still about 3 feet above the plants. I have watered 2x. Letting it sit 2-3 days in between watering. It hasn't needed it. Let the experiment roll!

Today the girls are all 2 weeks old. Some thoughts: * I think they look good. The Green Gelato has funny leafs. Not a big deal, just noticing it. * I think the stretching that was done was a little too much. This week I had to prop them up. I think they are fine now. I could take the hold up off, but not going to yet. * I have raised the LUX level to 10k. Light is still ~3 feet above them. I moved it up gradually over a few days. * I also have a fan blowing around them. Not right on them, but in the tent. They are dancing. * Water is at 6.5 PH. I've only watered 2x this week. 3 days in between watering, they appear to be doing fine. * I am giving them ~ 30oz of water per watering this week. I expect I will need to start watering more. * Since this is Dr Earth grow, NO additional nutes were given. However I did use 1/4 tsp recharge during the watering on Saturday. * other than the recharge, just water at 6.5 ph.

Another week done. These plants are looking really good. The picture doesn't show it as well, but these are a really great deep green color. Some notes and thoughts: * still no additional feeding. * watered every 3 days. Surprised by this, but it's working * watered ~30 oz first water of the week, ~40-45 oz second time this week. * Did my first LST. Looking for a bit more growth to start more. * bumped lights up a bit to 11,500 lux. * still wish there was more spacing between the nodes. They are going to get bushy at this rate. I'm only 3 weeks in, but I"m pretty excited about this growth. I'm trying to not get too far ahead of myself, but I'm happy with this technique so far. Waiting for problems to hit... Next week: * top dress with more dr earth on next watering * more LST

Good week. They hit 4 weeks old today. Thoughts and notes on the week: * I haven't messed with the light at all. Still running the same. I'm a bit unsure if i should up it or not. * I was hoping for some more spacing between the nodes, but isn't happening. I need to consider it. * I top dressed last Thursday with Dr Earth. I used 6 TBS total per pot (3 gallon, 2 TBS per gallon). I used the same ratio I started with, 4 TBS of Veg, 2 TBS of flower. Same as StealthGrows from YT recommended. * A bit of fish/"pet store" smell over the last week with the top dressing. Nothing serious, just notice it when you open the tent. I was worried this would be worse. It's started to dissapate. * I started to LST as can be seen. Stretching and bending them over! But I do see the bud sites starting to appear. * Watering about 40-45 oz of water every third day. * The green on these plants doesn't show up real well under the lights, but it's a really deep and dark green color. They look healthy to me.

Week 5 today (Feb 9) They all started flowering. I think the Fast Buds actually started flowering last week, it was fast. Weekly thoughts and notes: * upped the lights. Sitting at 16k lux at the canopy. * the plants seem a bit small. Maybe it's just me and autos. * Still watering every 3 days. * My ph meter broke. Trying to measure it with the drips and vials. * starting to smell some. light smell, no big deal. * I've been bending and folding them with LST. I think it's more art than science. I hope its doing ok * excited for them to start filling out. Let's Go!

Done with week 6. Weekly thoughts... * tried upping the light level to 16k+ lumens. This caused some light burn, I think. You can see the tops of those leaves ends. The reason I think it's light burn, not something else, is cause the bottom leaves don't have any signs of issues, only the ones in the light. * I have tried reading about light levels. I don't have a PAR meter, only a lux, so I'm trying to do what i can with that. I've read calculations to convert from lux to par, but not sure if those are valid. My light is less than 1/2 power, 3 feet up, so not sure what it should be set at. I'm trying to listen to the plants, and I turned it down when I saw the light level. * my ph meter broke too and I think I had a ph issue early on. My water was probably around 6. The leafs were starting to turn lighter green. This was tested using the drip solution. I got it back to 6.5, and they seem to be a bit happier. * I started watering every 2 days, with about 30-40 oz. Getting too dry otherwise. * the flowers are starting to form nicely. * I think the FastBuds started flowering about a week before the other two. It has much more developed flowers compared to the other two.

Felt like an eventful week. Thoughts: * They really seemed to get bushy this week. Pretty exciting. * The fastbuds (on the right) are about a week ahead of the others. They are looking like real bugs! * lowered the light levels. Still seeing some yellow at the top of the leaves, the bottom ones not seeing the same yellowing at the end of the leaves. Still not sure what's up * nats decided to visit this week. I was waiting for them. Put down some sticky traps, put some mosquito bites in the dirt. I don't see any in the tent, but some on the sticky traps. Hope they don't become too much of a problem. * fed them this week on Thursday with dr earth. I did 3 TBS of veg, 3 TBS of flower per 3 gallon pot. smelled up the tent, but not too bad. I can live with it. * defoliated some too. picked off the leaves that were blocking. Next couple of days seemed to come in stronger. So far still happy with the grow, happy to see where it goes.

Pretty uneventful week, in a good way. * watering every 2 days. They are just too dry on day 2 to go to day 3. * watered with recharge 1x. * damn gnats are around. I put more sticky traps and mosquito bits around. Just want them to go away. * leafs are turning yellow. I still think it's light stress, but i feel the light is down pretty far, so far I"m worried I'm not getting the most out of it. The leafs are only yellow where it faces light, that's why i'm backing off of PH issues or nute burn (but still could be...) * starting to smell stronger. Love it!

Another week done. Weekly Thoughts: * Damn Gnats are getting worse. I put in more sticky traps. Also put in mosquito bites in the soil. Lowered my fan to help dry out things. Let's hope it gets better. * still fighting yellow tips. well, not fighting, just accepting them. It might be nute burn, it might be light burn. Not sure. * Fastbuds plant feels like it's getting ready. Not totally crazy, and it is FAST, as advertised. * RQS still have a month or so to go, I'd guess. They have a lot more buds than fast buds. So I guess it's speed vs quantity? * watered every 2 days. I wonder if this is too much?

Another week... * fed them on saturday. I did 4TBS of DR Earth flower + 2 TBS of Dr Earth Veg * This should be the last feed * I think the fast bud (one on the right) is getting close to being done. I need to check Trichs this week. * The other 2 have at least 2-3 more weeks, I'd guess. * Still fighting gnats. But they aren't super bad.... * nothing exciting to report. This is a good thing!

Pretty chill week. Weekly thoughts... * Damn gnats. I keep fighting them, they keep coming back. Put up more sticky traps. * still watering every other day. * The fast buds (one on the left) is using less and less water. * Checked the trichomes on the FastBud one. Still not amber, but coming in. I think the Fast Buds will be done in the next week or two. * The other two still probably have a month or so go. Still seeing white "hairs" * I'm not sure if I'm going to need to feed them again. I might..we will see.

Another "boring" (in a good way!) week * Plants continue to grow and get ready. * I think I"m chopping the Fast Buds this week. Just checked and I see some amber * They aren't the prettiest leafs, but I'm happy with the flower * The gnats have gone away. Not sure what I did, but it's helping.

Another "boring" week (in a good way). * Fed the RQS ones this week. This should be the last feeding they get. * fed with 4TBS of flower, 2 of Veg (6 total since using 3 gallon pots). * i know i said i was going to cut the fast buds one last week, but i didn't. I am cutting it tomorrow. * the other two have probably 3 more weeks to go, I'd guess. Still seeing a few white hairs. * gnats have greatly been diminished. I'm still not sure what i did to get rid of them, but I haven't seen them for the last week. * watering every 3 days now, They don't seem to need the water on the 2nd day

And then there were 2! * I cut down the Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies. It's drying. Going to trim this week. You can see it hanging. * the FB was not a big plant at all. I won't get much, but it was fast. * I figure the other two have 2-3 weeks left, no rush here, so let them finish out. I still see some white hairs, so waiting for now. * I will start to check the trichs soon. * just watering, so not a lot to share. * The gnat issue has gone away, so that's GREAT!
