We germinated our seed using the paper towel method and had a little tap root after about 24 hours of waiting. We then took our seed and placed it in Super Soil, from StepWell Soil, and gave it a little water. It has been placed in the tent and we are waiting for it to sprout.

Snow white has sprouted and we are very pleased! We will be putting her in the veg tent we have setup to find out if she is an auto flower or not, since we got the seed from a bag. We have planted the seedling in super soil so hopefully she thrives!

Snow White is growing much larger and much faster than we had anticipated. We have moved her to a 5 gallon pot so that she can really thrive and develop a large root system. The genetics of this plant seem to be pretty great so far, we are just hoping that this plant turns out to be female. We will soon be starting some LST on this plant and waiting until it has at least 4 nodes before we decide to top it.

We have been training snow white as she has been growing very rapidly and after a couple weeks is already huge! We have begun LST because we want this plant to be well trained to to thrive. Since it seems like she has pretty good genetics so far, we are trying to get the biggest yield possible from this plant so being diligent early on is the best way to do it. We have been giving her a veg top dressing starting from last week and will continue on until she flowers. We give a top dressing once a week and then water it in. We also included mainlining into our training. We let the plant grow to 6 nodes and then cut it above the third node, leaving some stump. We then removed the foliage beneath the third node, leaving only the two new mains in the third node, and two fan leaves to provide nutrients. We wanted to try this method on training in order to have the plant give equal nutrients to each cola and therefore eliminate the popcorn nugs from the lowest parts of the branches. Will be updating with pics as the weeks go on. So far she is responding well and the new mains have started to grow nicely.

After we performed mainlining we let the plant rest and grow for a couple days before we started training her. We then bent down the two new mains in order to start off our training properly. we are now waiting for them to grow so that we can end up topping them again and then splitting them up. This method will probably take us a little longer to veg

Snow white has been topped for a second time and is responding very nicely to it. She is looking healthy still and the nodes are larger than yesterday. Hopefully it won't be long until we are able to top her for the 3rd and final time which will give us 8 colas in total for this plant. We wanted to try this training for both the symmetry and equal distribution of nutrients to the stems. In theory our colas should all be around the same size. We have noticed that one side is growing much larger and at a faster rate than the other. Not sure if there is any way to try and rebalance the distribution of nutes or if we should let nature just do its thing. One thought was to let the larger side veg out more and do less lollipopping so that hopefully the mains wouldn't receive as much nutrients, and we could focus it more on the smaller side. Anyways, were going to see how things go from here on out and decide that later, so far she is looking super happy and healthy. We haven't decided how long we want to veg this plant, but we're thinking at least 3 more weeks, as we want enough time for the new mains to grow, and be topped a final time so that they can veg out hard before flipping to 12/12. This is a plant that we are really looking forward to seeing the results of. It was a really nice smoke and we hope that we can grow some top shelf bud in the process. stay tuned!! Feb 23 - We have been watching the new mains growing at a rapid rate! This plant is doing super well which we are extremely pleased with. Probably only a couple more days until we can top once more and then leave the plant to grow out until we decide we want to flip to flower. We are trying to let each new main that grows off, develop 2 or 3 nodes, before we chop it. Not only to increase the length of the new branch, but also to give the plant some time to get nice and strong so that it can support itself later on in the cycle. Definitely a tedious process but one that is worth doing. Feb 25 - Two days later and the new mains are almost big enough to top now! We are thinking either today or tomorrow for the top, just so that a) the plant doesn't get too large for the pot we are growing it in and b) so that we can eventually match up this plant with our next round to go into the flower tent. This has been such a fun mainlining experience and the plant has responded very well to the stress. Hasn't skipped a beat! We are planning on using this same technique with our Blue Dream Photoperiod plant, but the nodes are spaced MUCH tighter together so it will be interesting to see how she decides to grow.

On to week number six for this gal. She has grown so well since we planted her. This was just a bag seed, but it has turned out to be a great plant, which is super resistant and has grown very strong for us, with the mainlining we have done. Today (Feb 26) She was topped for the final time, and now we will have 8 main colas growing from this plant. She has been growing rapidly so we expect that she will recover quickly from the topping and sprout up. This process has definitely taken some time, and now we would like to see some vertical growth, but we will be patient with this girl, as we want her to come out as nice as possible. While training one of the nodes, it was too aggressive and tore the stem off a little bit. We quickly tied it back together and hoped that it would fuse itself together again and grow back, so we are hoping for the best, otherwise this plant will have 6 colas instead of 8, unless we decide to top again, and have 10. Update: So the little stem that was half broken off, seems to have mended itself at the expense of the two fan leaves it had, but now it will hopefully grow new ones and then get big again like the other ones, which are absolutely thriving. right now the goal is to grow these girls nice and tall, with plenty of nodes along the way up

After 7 long weeks of veg and a mainline training technique, snow white is just about ready for the flower tent. She has grown so much since her last topping and is shaping up to be a really nice plant. were happy with the size of this one, and we cant wait to see how much she grows during flower. It has been a long process but surely will be worth the wait. We have been giving her veg top dressing and will continue for the first week of flower.

Wow, Snow White has come a long way for sure. I am super proud of this plant, because she was my project that i wanted to get just right. I'll admit it didn't turn out exactly as planned but definitely turned out great. I am super pleased with her and she is a super strong plant with plenty of new growth. Cant wait to see her flower now and stretch out! Should get a nice yield off this and hopefully a really great smoke. She should also be super frosty from her white widow mother. I kinda wanted to veg her out for another week to let the smaller nodes catch up but it seemed as good as time as any, since purple punch was harvested and there was room in the tent. March 14 - After a couple of days in the flower tent, Snow White is looking amazing and stretching out already. She is looking very lush and while the smaller nodes didn't grow as much as we had hoped, they grew enough to produce something small, and honestly, were just happy that the plant came back. Super nice looking plant and I'm very proud of how i was able to train her.

Nice work on the training, amazing symmetry. I'm sure the added time will be well worth it!

@mdubbs, thank you! that's exactly what i was going for and I'm glad that it sorta worked out! I agree, the extra time will be worth it in the end. Cant wait to see her grow more and then flower with 8 main colas!
