Already grew this strain but did not take care of her so she did poorly, I could see potential so decided to try again, flower them earlier and keep only one main head because this strain seems to make lanky side shoot, small buds but very strong and with a complex smell, let's try her again under better care and judge then.
Started life in a small cheese pot with some Jack's magic soil.
She cracked opened swiftly and seems eager for a bigger size pot, just waiting for worm casts I ordered to add to the medium when I transplant her.
Used cola bottle, they are really good when you need to tip them over for lack of head space, they stay stable, not rolling over. Exactly what I needed for now.
She is loving Jack's magic with added worm casts, she is growing fast and no problems so far!
Growing at a nice pace, so far so good, will change her into bigger pot in a few days and will top dress with some guano, worm casts and dash of Epsom salt.
Growing at a nice pace even if I have stressed her a lot trying to restrict her height and defoliated big fan leaves covering the lower side shoots and pinched main stem to encourage lateral growth. Cut open coke bottle at the bottom and placed in ice cream container filled with Jack's magic with added handful worm casts and dusting of powdered bat guano.
El patron not want to bend to my rule... Side shoots staying thin and just want to grow one main central bud... So will let her win she is El patron after all!
Will transplant soon in a better container... Experimenting with coke bottles and milk bottles... Hehehe messy!
Going to give her few more days veg after transplant into 16l fabric container with added bat guano and worm casts. Also in the medium I am using Jack's magic they added composted seaweed and other nutrient that seems to be in good ratio for MJ growing. Let's see if those I use are enough until harvest.
Changed her into a 16l fabric pot and used some Westland Gardener's multi purpose compost and added some guano and worm casts. Switched into flower cycle, she looks green and healthy so far.
Big stretch and so far she is happy and at last growing strong side shoots! Hopefully she start making those flowers! Just transferred to last 16l fabric pot filled with westworld Gardener multi compost and added three handful of worm castings and 1 of guano. Not chasing the PH anymore and so far did not need it.
Well she truly does what she wants, on the front short and the back she stretched so much, from not wanting to grow side shoots she suddenly aborted the dominant main stem growth pattern to a cropped one.
She looks very sativa like, small delicate buds.
Hello fellow cannabis Gardeners,
El Patron is becoming an absolute pleasure to grow and look developing her flowers...
Interesting sativa with calixes like Indica I believe?
It seems this one will make a better harvest than the last one I have grown, her stem is bigger and flowering sites peppered overall the stems, let's see if she needs supporting.... Fingers crossed I do not messed it up again! 😬🙃😁
Changed HPS light for a Leds one. This Voost Leds are really good for veg and on low setting, let's try it on full for El Patron!
Just added handful worm castings and half of bat guano.
I really started to enjoy looking at her flowering, long stretch and immature buds in formation, calixes are not many but those are bigger the norm, and hair are short.
I like big Calyxes and short hair! 😁
That is it, thank you for following!
Hello there fellow Gardener!
This week El patron fan leaves on some of stems are drying up fast, some are alright some are not, especially those straight under leds, I think it is a root problem in some part of container where there is less moisture or too much perhaps?
El patron is fussy but still a tough cookie, lovely little plumpy buds swelling up slowly slowly, she smells skunky and spicy, no fruity smell at all.
I hope she can retain some green leaves on those who are poorly...
Well we will see...
Added last sprinkling of guano bat on top of soil and raked in. No water.
Still she has many still viable fan leaves on other healthier stems and looks very pretty and different.
That is it for this week, I think 2 more weeks or so to go...
I hope all goes well until then
❤️😉
This week she has been bulking those nuggets peppered all over, I am hoping she can be healthy enough to swell those Calyxes, because she was stressed few times during her growth and the last one is the change from hps to leds... She had to adapt to those intense leds...
Found spider mites on one plants next to her but they are not interested in her, still found few on her and did a careful inspection/eradication but only 4 were found... I think she stink too much for them lol that gassy fuel from the swamp is not on their list!
Only water this week she was given.
I am trying not to rub those sugar leaves for a sniff too often!🙄😜 It seems the less I touched them the better they are😁, so I use a wooden stick now when I need to move leaves or buds.
She is becoming one of my favorite plant, she is fussy yes but very special smell and look, I am so pleased I have made cuttings this time in case and if her high is as good as her smell she will be the first mother plant I will try to keep!
Well the end is in sight, she is dressed in yellow and little buds are swollen more and more, no more flowers out, so I am harvesting in a week or so if all goes well! She smells gassy and narcotic on surface, very strong!
No more food just water
Almost done, will wait few more days and harvest top and lower one a week later, because top is done and leafs yellow unlike bottom level leafs are looking still green and maybe swell those buds a bit more, Calyxes are taking their time to reach maturity, they seemed to have slow Down.
She smells nothing when close to her but when rubbed she stinks skunk and gasy pungent. Smells sending a warning already: beware strong! Yet stealthy enough no one can smell her! Her trichomes are air tight! Lol
This strain can be tricky to grow, and not for those who wants lots of weights because can grow thin and small buds, but when she is grown for longer veg periods and trained properly can produce good amount of awesome buds coated with strong smelling trichomes with little manicuring to be done. Buds are sticky even after curing.
