Started in cardboard container. They were too small roots were coming out the sides by day 13. I transplanted on day 14. Stunted growth. magnesium and nitrogen hungry strain. Fed with foliate of magnesium sulfate at their bedtime. One a week. Pruning the bottom leaves that were lst to the side, to keep all the same

Working on fimmimg and topping. Aiming for the FIM but due to what is stands for I may have missed on two of the plants and ended up topping instead. Fine with me. I do not have any time restrictions for veg. My power bill has gone down believe it or not. By using space heaters and calculating kilowatt hours used by them. The grow with 2 inline fans from ac infinity. And carbon scrubbers. And 2 Spider farmer sf1000 led lights at 65% power. They have a dimming function. Plants seem to like it. First time using samsung diodes and these lights. So far i am very happy with the quality and power they can output. Total cost per month is about $20 so far. Had issues with circuit breaker flipping. Figured out where another circuit starts and ran some extension cords. Haven't had it flip the breaker since.

My nutrients have proven to be weak prom poor storage over the last year. I bought a new grow a and b. I also am adding in an occasional boiRyzotonic by Biocanna. Plants are showing some major deficiencies. Hard to say which one. Seems like a combination of a few. Magnesium, calcium, nitrogen and potassium. Is what it looks like. Hopefully the new nutrients will work. I will keep them in veg as long as I need to. Might move to 5 gallon pots soon. then to 7 gallon fabric pots right before the flowering lighting.

Transplanted to 7 gallon vivosun fabric pots. 50 percent fox farm ocean forest to 50 percent canna coco fibers. Set up the vertical trellis. Been low stress training anything that grows above it. The defoliation if the under canopy gave me some good looking clones. That I have in a spare container with a humidifier and hepa air filter worked in. In one device. It's like a jar full of rocks 30%, the rest of the way is foam of some kind. It came with the Midwest grow kits for mushrooms if anyone has one. And then with an air pump in and a separate tube put the top and into the bin. Creates a good environment for clones. I used clone rooting gel, in jiffy pods that I pre treated with biocanna ryzotonic spray and then they are placed in solo cups for stability. All five have been cut for a few days and remaining percky. So i think that's a good sign. No lights at first to let the roots get going. Sea of green is turning out amazing. Super easy to do. Highly recommend (hehe). But yeah. Definitely try it out. Much better light coverage. Along with topping a few fast growers and FIM method used. There should be many colas.

Starting to see the stretch happen. Haven't to tuck and weave in the daily. Co2 exhale bags seem to have a positive affect for sure. Can keep the temp high. Starting to see humidity raise at night already to the 40 50 percent range. Probably going to add a dehumidifier. This king about the Silica cans. Anyone have experience with those?

Extra lights are really helping the outer rim. Netting is full. Starting to remove some of low stress training cords.

Great growth seen. Stretch phase may be over with as the buds are developing surprisingly fast. Truly beautiful. Some purple seem in centers of biggest bud sites. Not intentional by stressing it in any way. I think its normal for this strain. Was able to keep humidity in the 30 to 40% relative to about 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. That is what these ladies like from what I read on the seed bank site I bought the seeds from. Starting to develop this earthy and strong berry smell. Smells like God herself. But that's weird to say. So yeah. That's a good thing, and joke, in my mind. There is context to others. Trimming everything under the canopy. If there isn't light, off with its head. Or leaf. Or small flowers trying to start a new site. Nip it in the bud I guess. Haha. Feeding about every 4 days with 5 liters for each plant. Giving about 800ml of runoff. Runoff water is always measured. PH is at 6.6 this time. I want to lower that a little. I don't need pH down with these nutrients useimg filtered tap water that measures at 8 pH or higher sometimes with a ppm in the 140 range. Not good water. I wish I could get my hands on a better filter.

Starting to show signs of some deficiency. Looked into it more, found I could water them more often due to them being potted in mostly coco coir. I flushed them with 5 liters each of pH adjusted water. Then a few hours later gave them 5 more liters each of nutrient solution with the bio boost at full strength. Bio Boost is mostly phosphorus. Dr repair is nitrogen in urea form, and a small bit of chelated iron. I will continue flushing and feeding like this for the next few weeks and see how it goes. The biggest plant has had problems since day one. But has always grown the fastest and stretched out more than the other 3. Feminized seeds and their odd phenotypes I guess. Genetics are weird. Very sweet smelling. My house is over taken by the smell when I open the tent. Carbon scrubber on exhaust works very well.

Grow Questions

Cannabingrowinstarted grow question 4 years ago
Can I water much more often when using canna's coco coir and perlite? I read somewhere about people watering twice a day in 7 gallon vivosun fabric pots. Plants have been begging for nutrients. I was watering once every 3 or 4 days. Can I water them every day?

So it's officially day 120 from germination making this week 16.5 really. I got excited and posted more often. I have probably 3 weeks to flush and let them ripen as long as is possible. Going to continue to expose but sites with pruning. Little bit at a time. Leaving big healthy leaves when I can for their nutrition when I flush them bud sides exposed have really like more lighting. Almost every site feels like a dense cola. Trying to keep humidity below 40% during the day and night with 72 degrees in the day and down to 62, if I can, at night. Trying to stress them a little for some color change but this is just an experiment for me. I have no proof that any cor change will happen. Just having fun with it. These plants in general (cannabis) are amazing to watch them grow up. Makes me want to weep for joy like a mother when her children leave the nest. I'm so proud of them. But more pics to come as the ripening begins. It's the most beautiful transformation when done right. I read about a technique used to lower the light to 11 on or to even 10 on. With 13 and 14 hours off respectively. To help aid in the ripening. Only for the last week though. Still investigating this technique. Blackberry kush, it's been quite the ride. My house smells like berries as soon as I even open the tent a tiny bit. It's really incredible. I have active intake and exhaust with a massive ac infinity carbon scrubber that works so well you cannot get a hint of weed smell from the exhaust. Really worth the $80. Had to move the exhaust to the window adapter. (really hard to find a window adapter for an 8 inch duct) but I rigged it up with a bunch of boxes and blankets haha. So far my electricity is actually lower Than last may. This tent basically heats my house. I predicted an extra $28 a month to run all the equipment. But haven't seen Any increase the whole time as I didn't need to use my baseboard heaters. Just to show how inefficient those are. Day 38 of flower Day 120 total age since they poked through the soil. Long veg time to get the how I wanted. It doesn't bother me at all. But that is a long veg time of probably 2 months.

Cloudy trichomes are starting to be seen in the bigger buds. I have see one trichomes that has maybe a tiny bit of amber color appearing. Still about 70 percent clear trichomes. Day 46 of 12/12 lighting schedule. Waiting for the perfect day. Monitoring trichomes hourly haha. I want them to swell a tiny bit more I can tell they want to.

Perfect. Now when to harvest? Seeing about 20 percent amber in some buds. Others are still only cloudy. The beginning of week 8 starts in 4 days. But I transitioned to flowering lighting over the course of a week. So maybe tomorrow. maybe the next day too. As soon as I see more than 30 percent amber trichomes on main colas(all of them) I will harvest. Ripening buds are a true beauty. Damn these are a sight to behold. This is my second grow. I learned a lot. I love it. So smelly I just can't believe it. Tried to take a trichome pick. Still maybe 15 percent amber color starting to appear

Great experience. Learned a lot about the properties of coco coir and I love it as a medium mixed with perlite. Almost impossible to drown the roots. Enabling you to feed them more without having to worry about overwatering. Would recommend pretreatment of the coco coir with a cal mag for sure. 305 grams after sitting in jars for 2 weeks very happy with the buds. Dense as rocks they are. Provides pain relief and help getting to sleep. Along with crazy munchies. Definitely more on the wide leaf side of cannabis. I let the trichomes become about 30 to 40% amber. That could also attribute to the proclaimed effects. Low stress training and a screen of green is really the only way to get good buds and a medium yield with this strain. The smell is very unique. The smoke is smooth with berry overtones and dank earthy undertones. Pairs lovely with a nice bowl of spaghetti with sauce. Muy bueno.
