Last few weeks have been fantastic and I can't wait to see how they all respond to the first big stress event. Topping any sites that are at canopy while letting the rest develop but keeping the best 6 primaries and keeping it nice and simple.
3/9 ok so I kept more than 6 on these, I think there's one of them that has 7 but the rest all have 8-9 main branches, if they were within 3-5" of the top of the canopy I just kept them, that much variation will even itself out with just some slight bending.
3/12: So I've topped all primaries once now, should be 14-18 new tops on all of these, I'm hoping to top again next week assuming they can keep growing 1" per day, that should give me an excellent structure for a big fat canopy in the flower room.
I'm not really sure how I feel about these plastic pots, the plants just don't feel like they are breathing as well as I'd like, idk. I'm going to try some 5gal Geopots, I love how stable they are and should have no problem lasting through flower.
They get topped again day 42, going to try and leave top two nodes per top instead of just 1, so each will go from 2-8 instead of 2-4, if they underdevelop I'll trim them off later. I think they'll be just fine though, saving any branches that reach out from primaries and lowers to make some.nice clones, so don't cut those yet, we will cut clones when we strip for flower.
Day 42: looking great, topped every branch from the last topping and then leveled it out so they can all grow similarly. Day 49 they will get transplanted to 5gal commercial Rainsciencegrowbags then the Day after get stripped and sent to flower
They are loving these lights, they have been at 100% since I plugged them in and the plants just keep stacking so I guess we will see where this goes, I picked up some VineLine today, it looks like good stuff.
Bounced back just fine after the strip and just chillin getting fat, not really a fan of these pots, I don't feel I can water as evenly and full soak like I can with my Gro Pro pots.
Great, swelling up nice. Really not a fan of these pots I feel like I'm wasting so much water with it just dumping out of the sides.
Day 41: So for the rest of this run they will just be getting 9g/gal of full tilt until chop day, using this method should allow me to run multiple strains with various end dates in the future while maintaining proper plant health without too much self damage.
Just cruising, 0/0/9g per gal of Full Tilt til chop day, I want to see a serious 50% amber on the outside, zero clear. I have an additional two week window I can push this, I went to 63 last time with a full recommended flush for 7 days and felt like I left so much on the table, they weren't trellised though so I had other limitations. This time I can out a 3rd layer up for a longer cycle and just cull lower branches and smoke on them while I wait for the champs
Just keep stacking, they are starting to fade a bit with only full tilt being fed but the buds keep swelling so I'm excited to see what colors they push out.
Swelling up nice, ill add macros after they get uploaded. Seems this would be fine for hash at 63 still but 70 for flower development definitely seems necessary. It's still not on the nose as much as I'd like, we have some other goodies coming soon.
Smells nice and cheesy and very sticky, excited for the Driflower drying room this time.
I topped too many times and didn't give enough recovery time and did not trellis early enough. Trellising day 1F is key to maintain a better even canopy.
No flush, ran full tilt til chop and let dry out fully before chop. Chopped at 64* and 5% lights. Will be drying with the quest pro 4k and a 10" hyperfan at 60*/60RH for 12-14 days.
