If you are all experiencing weird bans this seems to help.... The bans are not a true 7hrs but seem to be part of the new anti-spam filters Growdiaries initiated giving the trolls in the GOTM contest.
Start off by refreshing the page or reloading your chat that ban triggered in.
Do not post any links or URL's in full if they contain a . com suffix, spare things out to avoid the filter, eg, "www. something. com" .co .ca and .org or .net do not seem to be affected??
Do not post any numbers and letter with a decimal/period with out spacing it out, eg "2. 0EC"
Do not post any swears or racist slang, not always enforced.
Use of special charters like { * & % } can trigger it sometimes, use them as little as possible and separate them by spaces if next to numbers or letters.
Workarounds: use commas and colons in place of decimal points/periods. [ : , ] not likely to flag the anti-spam filter.

@GrowingGrannie, its the same thing for in chat, its a direct result from the spammers in GOTM. they posted a lot of links and money stuff so now it cant be talked about openly. the one troll who ran with scissors ruined it for the rest of us. maybe they will back track it once they get an alternate way of dealing with the spam, but I doubt that will be anytime soon.
Edit: And to this point, I just got a bot commenting on my emerald tingle seed post. they using a url shorting service and no money symboles so its not flagged by the spam filters lol.

@m0use, this is nuts... wtf are they trying to do anyway?! And if there are "new" rules about what you can and can't say in a chat, why don't they come out and announce it.... stupid website this is, truly!

Good luck to the top 3! Its anyone's game as this point all so close in scores. 1st has got almost a 10 point lead but 2nd 3rd and 4th are all quite close.
Gonna be fun to see what happens in the next few days.

Wow, I have quite literally been cheated out of last month's prize by @growdiaries. Care to explain yourselves to me and everyone else why took part last month, only for you to hand it to someone that was reported as cheating by multiple users in the past few weeks!?

@UnkleSkunk, absolutely not. If this is genuine and GD have screwed me over for no apparent reason I will not be sticking around on this website. If the mods themselves are cheating scum then I'm out of this bizarre place.

Is it normal that GD swap 3rd and 4th place in the previous month's competition on the day it's announced? Or am I about to get screwed over somehow? Our old friend, the cheat, is somehow showing above me in 3rd in the March competition as of today, even with 9 less votes 🤨 more fishy behaviour.

@ernest_twwg, nah man, nothing untoward as far as I could see. Certainly wouldn't expect more than 1-2 from potentially bogus accounts and no more than anyone else. They'll have a hard time proving any cheating went on with my score as it simply didn't happen. I therefore suspect something more sinister is going on here as they've actively demoted me but haven't adjusted my score. We shall see... I'm still awaiting some form of feedback. Without that all, I can do is make assumptions.

@@Growstick, I was in second for a newbie of the month contest a couple months back. I was pumped! I checked back in the next morning, around 8 hours later. I was bumped from 2nd to 5th. It sucked. But, I guess the results weren't finalized the first time I looked.
Anyway.
Did some of your answers come from spam or multiple posts of the same question? GD usually removes those answers from people's totals.

@biggerbud420, this competition can only be entered by answering questions. Diary of the month let's you submit diaries but it has to be a finished diary. Other competitions like the fastbuds fast flowering and Dutch passion competition can have a live diaries they have set rules, eg Dutch passion had a form to fill out and they sent out the seeds. The fast flowering contest requires the fastbuds fast flowering seeds to enter.
