Why do I have 6 auto -flowering seeds that did not sprout? I thought they were supposed to be idiot-proof. They are FastBuds which I had heard had a good reputation.

Hello, how did you germinate? Personally, I use a dish, I put 3 layers of absorbent paper on top, I moisten it a lot (but not soaked), then I place my seeds on top, and then I add 2 more layers of absorbent paper over my seeds that I moisten again. Then I cover them with another dish. I leave it in a room at about 22 degrees, checking regularly that the paper doesn't dry out and moisten it if needed. Once the seed has germinated, I plant them in their pots :) There are several ways to do it, and much more technical and professional methods than this one, but personally, it has always worked for me. Be careful if you haven't stored your seed properly, it could be damaged! I hope this advice helps you 😊

Ok let me tell you some things about the Mexican Air/Crystal Meth strains; Germination rate is bad commonly, not sure of the reason but last go round I had only a 30% success rate where normally I hit 80-90%. This also seems to extend to other sativa lines as we had a fit with Stardawg and Green Crack as well at 60 and 50%. Indicas dont seem to share this issue, I avoid their sativas now unfortunately due to this. Not the cost its the mayhem it wrecks on the grow. I suspect quality control is suffering but heck Im just a customer like you. Great genetics on the whole just some less than good strains.

I see you did the papertowel method. How wet was the paper and what was the temperature? I don't use paper on top of the seeds but I keep the wet towel in a box with lid loosely on top. First thing that came to my mind was that maybe you accidentally drowned the seeds with too moist conditions? It can also be just bad patch of seeds or maybe poorly handled during shipping etc.

Conditions is the biggest factor.. It has to be wet and dark with access to air. I have way more seeds that pop then seeds that don't like 90% from different companies even..

Hey there 👋 There are so many variables as to why your seeds didn’t sprout. How old they are, where they were stored, the water and method used for germination ect..... I grow a lot of fastbuds genetics, and have had 2/3 seeds not germinate. They do have fantastic customer support, so if you feel you did everything right, I’d reach out to them and let them know Happy Growing 🌱
